The staff was really friendly and helpful. The hotel is beautiful, modern but cozy. Everything was clean and fresh, well lit and easily accessible. You can park for free in the streets next to the hotel. The subway is a short walk away, just like the city center. Breakfast was fresh and plenty to choose from. We were here for Spiel. During the night the communal areas were alive with people playing games and chatting with each other. It was nice to see so many people mixing and having fun.

If I have to choose something... Maybe they can put little icon stickers on the light switch. They were a little confusing as to which one does what.

Location is superclose to City center, rooms are very spacious and beds super comfortable! Very clean!

Unnecessary products provided in the bathroom but the important ones not. Sewing kit and shoe sponge but no toothpaste or other needed products. How often does a person need a shoe sponge or sewing kit? Rarely - once in a while, or never. How often does a traveling person need a toothbrush or toothpaste: every day. What do we provide our clients? A sewing kit sounds like a good idea! :D

The rooms are contemporary, comfortable, and clean. In-room fridges go well with the Rewe at the mall nearby. The showers have some of the best pressure and temperature I've experienced in a hotel. I appreciate the lobby space and excellent restaurant in the hotel. Easy access to the U-bahn.

I leave the "do not disturb sign" up when I do not need changing of sheets and towels for environmental purposes. Each day, a new set of towels was left outside my door unneccessarily.

The staff were lovely - really very helpful. The bed was big and comfortable, and the shower was piping hot. My room was very spacious. The option of having a beer in the bar at night is a nice touch too. I think lots of people would like the hotel's aesthetic; it's definitely got a unique vibe with the colours and neon lights.

It's a little odd to see so much undressed concrete in the hallways and the rooms. I wasn't delighted with the location of the hotel (it's a little bit out of the way), but things were completely fine when I got the hang of the subway. With all that said, I would certainly go back if I was in Essen again.

Decent breakfast, good rooms, great staff.

Just what you need for a comfortable, cheap, clean stay without the bells and whistles of a fancy hotel, but still much better than hostel quality. Comfortable bed, lightly decorated inside.

Breakfast is a bit expensive for what it is. A balustrade on balconies (there's only a net as safety currently) is something that should really be added for extra safety

The hotel was large, with a nice lobby and the rooms were really big, a big bathroom and really clean. The hotel was also quite close to the city center (just 10 mins walk). They didn't have parking space for us, but there was a parking garage right opposite to the hotel where we parked our car for 8 euros (until next morning). The breakfast was also nice and fresh. So, overall nice stay.

One thing that I really missed was a kettle and some tea bags.

We stayed in this hotel while visiting Essen for the Spiel 2023. We were happily surprised by the room size, which was bigger than we expected. We could spaciously accommodate all the board games we bought. We want to highlight that the room was very clean and comfortable (the bed was very big also). We thank a lot the free water bottles (1 still, 1 sparkly) that we had each day at our room. The room was not noisy at all, as the windows effectively isolated us from the road cars sound. 100% recommended

The only con we have is that the room does not have a closed wardrobe, so the cloth is not protected from dust.

Good location next to the Essen city center. Clean, comfortable, and spacious rooms; good value for money. Nice views back towards the city center.

It's quite a far walk from the nearest metro/underground station, so the location is a little inconvenient. The hotel also did not mention in advance that they refused cash payments; fortunately things were paid in advance, but it wasn't clear that they refused cash until I was there.

The room on the courtyard side was quiet en good, spacious. The pillows on the bed were very flat I so asked for some extra pillows and these were brougt instantly. The bed was very comfortable. The location is fine, some 400 meter from the large shopping center and 500 meter to the restaurants downtown. The rooftop bar has very limited foodsnacks. Car parking was for free in the streets around and before the hotel.

Except for the breakfast, the hotel has no restaurant. The only suggestion for improvement I have is to install some grips in the shower to hold on to when you use the (excellent) shower.
