- I booked this hotel for my stay in Essen during Spiel 2024, because the hotel I visited the year before had a ridiculous price hike. This hotel offered value for money so I actually had money left to spend at the board games convention. The location was only slightly further than what I was used to. - On checking in, I was greeted by competent and helpful staff, who even helped me solve a problem I was having (that was not in any way their fault). - The room was clean and it had a comfortable bed and a pleasant temperature. (I also liked the New York/Big Apple style throughout the room.

- The room was a smaller than I expected, but it still served its purpose. Where the room size was a problem was in the bathroom. The shower was hard to get in and out of due to a height difference and the shower curtain dragged on the floor of the shower floor. - I also experienced noise in the evening from the other people who stayed on my floor, with doors getting cloed noisily and people talking loudly. - I only had breakfast on the day that I left and while it was tasty and adequate, I would've preferred a slightly bigger selection of things to eat.

Nice art on the walls of the room – was there for the football and I had a pitch collage in my room. Breakfast was excellent, far better than an Ibis I stayed in the night before. A short, flat walk from the station. 2pm check-in time was handy and they let me have my room even earlier

Staff were very nice. Facilities worked well for the most part. Bed was very comfortable. Close enough to train station.

Lift would only work about half of the time. Breakfast was nice, but a little bit limited for the price.

The fantastic service by host David. He made us feel very welcome and was extremely supportive, e.g. handing out his own mobile charger and reserving an electric charging parking spot.

Only some of the showers are not great for tall people. Though not the case for every room, so if you're tall aka for a room with suitable shower.

It was a good location for my visit to Spiel 2023. A short walk from the railway station. The hotel is welcoming and the staff are very friendly.

There was nothing for me to dislike. There is a cafe facility for breakfast which was well used but it didn’t seem to be used for catering in the evening.

Shower was brilliant and very powerful and temperature remained constant. The staff were exremely helpful and friendly. They went out of their way to help and nothing was too much trouble for them. Only a short walk to town. Very clean and comfortable. Loved the Beatles theme and the cushions in the room. Plenty of tables for breakfast. Will definately stay here again next time in Essen.

Maybe plug sockets on both sides of bed but that is all.

we could park the car allready early, and go with the train to the fair, close to the station and good restaurants

Excellent hotel. Very friendly personel. Very good location. Excellent breakfast buffet with a lo of choices New renovated rooms with air conditioning. In the center of the city close to freeways.

A refrigerator in the room will be advisable

The location. The people at the hotel, at the reception, they were super nice. Welcome drink. Water at the hotel.

They will need to change the mattress soon, but it was confy

Good city centre location with parking near Hauptbahnhof and shops. Very clean and tidy with helpful staff.

Not much in way of bathroom toiletries, shampoo etc.
