Location is very close to the city centre and train station. Rooms are not the most modern, but have everything you'd expect. Comfy beds, good bathroom, smart - tv, mini fridge, etc. Breakfast was excellent, not much variety from day to day, but plenty of choice and everything you'd expect is there. Staff where friendly and helpful. Check in and out takes mere minutes. Cute small cocktail bar where you can also enjoy the restaurant food. They will also serve you in the lobby.

Room interior could use an upgrade, the colours and décor are a bit dated.

I was extremely satisfied. the hotel is very close to the main station and to the city center, and yet the room was quiet. the reception team were very friendly, check in and check out were as quick and easy as it gets. the room was large enough and properly furnished with a table and an armchair, clean, with good wifi and a very welcome 21st-century-sized tv with built-in chromecast, I wish I'd see this more often, well done. overall, an excellent value for money considering location and price,

there was something weird with the tv, once every half an hour or so it'd switch to the chromecast channel on its own. I might have asked the reception for help but it wasn't really bothering me. doors are a bit on the thinner side, every now and then you might hear the people walking past your room if they speak loudly

The room looked brand new. The beds were exceptional. The mattresses were the best I have slept on in a long time. The bathroom and shower were also super. Big flat screen TV. The staff were friendly and helpful. Air conditioning in summer!!! There is a short parking lane right in front of the hotel for dropping off luggage; they also have a luggage cart. Parking in the deck around the corner was easy; just be sure to go to the end of the street, then turn left, then left again. Then you enter the parking deck correctly.

Breakfast had a lot of options, but they did not cook the scrambled eggs long enough and the sausages were not warm enough. Tiny elevators.

This hotel was fantastic. It's only a 2 minute walk from Essen HBF and only a short walk into the centre where restaurants and shops seem to be. The room I got was fantastic - so spacious with so much storage and such a large bathroom. I was so comfortable my entire stay. The bed was huge and so comfy, the shower had fantastic pressure and temperature, and the room included a mini fridge which was amazing for me to store some drinks and food for my stay. The staff were very welcoming and had my room ready upon my early arrival. I would definitely stay here again!

Nothing to dislike about this hotel.

Reception gentleman was very friendly and helpful . Excellent inside secure bicycle storage . Immediately off walking area in Essen . Close to many restaurants and has on-site restaurant as well . Room very clean and quite modern . Bed was comfortable.Only one very small but helpful elevator in this large hotel makes transporting supplies upstairs a bit difficult.

Our room 227 was at the end of a very dark hall and truly appeared to be a room devised to fill a quite narrow area of the hotel . It was very poorly designed and not overly comfortable although clean . Inadequate storage space

This hotel stay experience was super nice. The location was perfect, very close to the train station and the city centre, so it was easy to find supermarket and breakfast (I did not book breakfast with this hotel). The room was large, around 14 square meters, and the bed was also large and comfortable. What I like especially was the bathroom. When we got into the room, the toilet was kind of sealed with a paper band saying "disinfected". Because corona was not over yet, it was very sweet to see the hotel took the hygiene issue seriously. We visited during the Eurovision and watched the show in the bar of the hotel, which was super cosy, and I definitely recommend their rich cocktail collections on their Getränkekarte.

Cannot think of further improvement.

The room was of fantastic quality including super comfortable mattresses which led to a great night's sleep after a long day of travelling. The location within Essen cannot be faulted, even if there isn't a great deal around in the city itself.

The front desk service was particularly slow to react to our request to check in early and we were told a few times to go and sit down in the waiting area but it took a painful amount of time to get checked in, however the member of staff may have been new.

The location is very close to the train station, very convenient and it's very easy to have access to the city centre by walking. The room is spacious and the reception is very helpful and polite. I have a fairly comfy stay and would definitely book it again if I'm in Essen.

The surrounding area (near train station) can be slightly tricky in the late evening. But this happens in all cities in Germany, anyway. Just be mindful about it.

The room was quite nice, well equipped with both the necessities (decent bed, good water pressure in the shower etc.) as well as some useful nice-to-haves such as a small fridge and a desk with wired internet connetion.

While the hotel was, in general, quite nice and modernized, the building is relatively old and this shows some places. The only place where this was inconvenient was the elevator, which was quite small and fairly slow.

I had a wonderful stay in a spacious and clean room that was beautifully designed. The thoughtful welcome gifts were a nice touch, and a well-lit bathroom with a modern shower was great. I particularly enjoyed the hotel's unique architecture and opted to use the stairs, which reminded me of a castle.

I had trouble connecting my laptop to the TV to cast the screen. Although there was an option in the TV menu, the TV was on a different network than the room's wifi, which had no internet. However, this was a minor issue that did not impact my stay since the room had wifi with an excellent signal.
