Excellent service, good position, a walking distance from central station. Plenty of common areas for different types of activity. The shared room was clean and confortable, the sleeping units were smartly designed in such a way that each could have some privacy and not be disturbed e.g. of the reading lights of the others. The room itself had just a little locker for each guest, but more lockers were available in common areas. Despite the room was fully occupied (total 6), everyone was respectful to one another and using it just for resting.

bed itself was confortable, but the pillow was too high for me, and no other options were available. Also the planket was too warm for the summer season.

When you rent a place, I think the most important thing is comfort and being taken care of. The receptionist lady at the entrance was very friendly and when there was a problem, she immediately answered the messages and was always interested. I would also like to thank the person working at the reception. It was my favorite place on my trip. I will definitely stay there when I come back. It has great quality and most importantly friendly and respectful employees. (Smiling is important in a place like Germany)

Comfortable spacious studio. Reasonably well equipped. Comfortable bed. Nice bathroom. Unlike 'short-term lets' there was staff around to check in, and daily cleaning, which was great. Good value parking nearby.

Longer hours and more flexibility on check in desk would be good. The keypad lock on the front door was temperamental. They need to invest in a new one that doesn't need three or four attempts and a special knack. Not a particularly nice neighborhood and no nearby shops. It is designed for 2, so why only one comfy chair?

This is clearly a non-franchise no frills budget accomodation. But at the same time it provides exceptional value for money. You get a bed, a relatively spacious room with a fully equipped pantry, a chair and a small table, and a bath. It's clean, you get working WiFi, and the price is very fair considering the location is very central.

Of course there are many small things that could be better. Like e.g. the bed could be larger … But none of these are actual concerns, especially not for the price you pay.

The place was comparing to price very good . Everything clean, Coffeemaschine was cool . One could also prepare tee. The bed was tidy and comfortable and the location ist 10 minutes away from central station of the city essen . I was in a concert in Gelsenkirchen and it was very easy for me to commute. It was a good choice that I didn't stay in Gelsenkirchen.

I would suggest just to put some tissues in the room, otherwise everything was great.

Although guests are asked to leave the kitchen are clean, you should probably check that they have washed up everything properly. There were some wet, half-washed plates and a glass that had been put away dirty. I had trouble with the key pad on the front door and was unable to let myself in on 2 out of 3 occasions. Probably the key pad needs updating.

I really liked that it had a kitchenette with a fridge! It was great to be able to cook food and save a bit of money.

The pillow that was supplied wasn't great, so I actually went out to buy a better one. Also, the internet often went down, which made it hard to work.

Very good check-in with clear instructions (even if I'd prefer to get that earlier, before travel as during travel connection is not always warranted). Building was very clean, apartment very clean and well-equipped. Drapes were effective. Location is close to the station, so yes, overall, quite a perfect stay, really.

A quiet and clean apartment within 10 minutes' walk of Essen Hbf and metro stations. Bed and pillows very comfortable and bathroom compact, but well-appointed. Very close to the main shopping areas and older town north of the main station.

Although quiet and comfortable, the flat was at the top of four flights of stairs and, unfortunately, there was no lift. Not unmanageable, but difficult with a suitcase.

The location was convenient, close to the station and within easy walking distance to downtown. We only had a short stay so we didn't use the kitchen, but having a kitchen included at this price was amazing.

The neighbourhood surroundings were acceptable. I felt a bit off the main area—no pedestrians on the street. The area was quiet except for the occasional ambulance.
