A spotlessly clean single room with desk and two complementary bottles of water. Good hot shower. Breakfast was tasty and included in price. The staff were so friendly and helpful. I ate in the restaurant and enjoyed the food and wine which was reasonably priced and hearty. A great little find, centrally placed for the U bahn. Don’t expect a 5 star hotel but for a traditional taste of Nuremberg at a great price, I’d plan to stay again.

I’m used to sleeping with two pillows and the one provided was very soft/not supportive. If I was staying longer I’d have asked for another one.

Very friendly staff, very clean room, comfortable bed, enough space in the room (single rooms are often tiny). Overall, a nice hotel. The location was very convenient, close to the U-Bahn and a short walk to the old town as well as to the shopping streets.

Although the location was convenient for getting around the city, it had its downsides. It was so noisy. It was impossible to sleep with the windows open and that meant the room was too hot despite the large fan in the room. In the afternoon there was a noisy demonstration going on outside a building next door. There was a very loud open air concert very close until quite late and there was general noise from people walking past, police outside, delivery trucks etc. I didn't sleep well unfortunately. It was a shame as the hotel is actually lovely.

I occasionally have to spend a day or two in Nuremberg, and I always book this hotel. Why? Because it's usually a very good price, the staff are always friendly and the breakfast is really good considering it's basically a budget option. RIght in the centre of the city, it's also just arounf the corner from the U-Bahn, which is a bonus when arriving late at night from the airport.

I recently stayed here during the July 2025 heatwave. I was on the second floor and although the staff provided a large fan, air-conditioning would have been very much appreciated.

Loved this hotel. It has a real old school, family run vibe. Short walk from the train station and within the Aldstadt walls. Really friendly staff who were happy to give advice and suggestions about seeing the city as well as store luggage. They also helped us out when our train was cancelled and we had to print new tickets. The room was surprisingly spacious, well appointed and had a really nice walk-in shower room. Good breakfast buffet too. Didn't eat at the attached restaurant but can vouch for it's excellent wine list.

Location was very good and it is a charming traditional hotel. One of the staff called Jessica was so very helpful and friendly. Very clean rooms and fresh towels daily.

Some of the staff were not very friendly in fact the night porter was very grumpy, there was a lovely girl called Jessica who made us feel very welcome and she was very helpful. The restaurant staff were not accommodating, even trying to get a meal in the restaurant was a nightmare, it felt as if we were a nuisance to them. No air conditioning and the room was very stuffy so had to ask for a fan. Would have liked a small fridge in the room to allow for a cold drink during the night. This was our second stay in this hotel in fact we encouraged 4 other friends to stay there too but the experience was not as good as the first time we stayed,

Very friendly, helpful staff, clean comfortable room, excellent breakfast in pleasant dining room, lovely traditional restaurant serving delicious food and very good wine range, including wines from their own vineyard. An attractive old building that survived the bombing with a modern wing attached. I had a bike with me which was securely stored at the back of the hotel. There is an attractive outside eating/drinking area to the front.

A bath would have been nice but that's a small detail.

Enjoyed our 2 night stay here. Our room was quiet, spacious, clean and had plenty of storage. The location, within the old city, was great for sightseeing. Easy to walk to historic areas and restaurants. Breakfast had many choices plus a tasty selection of breads and rolls. Dinner in the attached restaurant was very good with an extensive wine list that described each. All staff were welcoming and helpful. Limited rooms, more like a guesthouse. Would definitely stay here again.

For reasons that I imagine only the tourist industry fully understand, my favourite hotel in Nuremberg is either way too expensive to even think about staying in, or one of the cheapest options in the city centre, breakfast included. Just around the corner from the Weiße Turm U-Bahn (a relatively simple change at Hauptbahnhof if you're coming from the airport), this place, when the price is right, is absolutely marvellous. I've stayed here numerous times before, and it's always been a pleasure, despite the confusing layout of the place and the fact that some of the bathrooms aren't much bigger than a telephone box. Both the choice and quality of the food on offer at the breakfast buffet are also exceptionally good.

Arrive late and you might have to lean on the doorbell until the sleepy (sleeping?) staff member finally appears.

One morning out of 4 we were woken up at 7am by a loud van, then a dust cart No English tea (but hard to find in the whole of Nuremberg, so bring your own) Very flat & Uncomfortable pillows

The hotel and attached restaurant were fantastic. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were lovely. Breakfast was very good with nice variety. And the location was perfect. Only a short walk to shopping, history, public transport and the Christmas markets. Definitely make a reservation at the restaurant. Wonderful food and wines.

I can’t think of a thing. Questions we sent prior to arrival were answered quickly. Parking was less than a block away.
