We were very pleased with our stay at this wonderful hotel! It is located in a historic building that has preserved all its exquisite beauty and charm. What impressed us the most were the spacious rooms, which, despite the historical ambiance, are equipped with all modern amenities — everything you need for a comfortable stay. A special highlight was the breakfast — fresh and delicious dishes enjoyed with a stunning view of the mountains and the surrounding historic buildings. It created a unique atmosphere of comfort and inspiration in the morning. The availability of free parking was a pleasant bonus, especially in an urban setting.

As for minor downsides, the pillows were not very comfortable, but I think this can be easily resolved if you request replacements in advance. Additionally, the room felt a bit stuffy, and with the temperature outside at -10°C, sleeping with the window open was too chilly. However, these issues did not affect our overall impression. Overall, this hotel is a perfect blend of history, comfort, and modern convenience. Highly recommended for your stay!

Brilliant location, particularly when the fog lifted and the spectacular views were revealed just out the front door. Great breakfast. Staff were excellent. Ancient building with modern comfort and conveniences like a lift and parking right by the door. I've stayed elsewhere in Oberammergau over the years, at very nice places; this is my new favorite.

we loved everything, but perhaps would have liked a bit more control over the heat at night. Warm and cozy on cool November nights, but a bit warm under the lovely duvet.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The staff were very obliging. We had a large duplex room with a balcony overlooking the yard which is used as a car park for guests. The balcony detail which was built around a tree trunk was very much appreciated, we love the fact that the tree was safeguarded during the construction works. The breakfast was delicious and abundant. We also had dinner in the hotel's restaurant on one of the nights, the food was very good. The restaurant is located in the main old and picturesque building.

Our family of five booked this property just to be close to both castles, Linderhof Palace and Neuschwanstein. Little did we know that the town of Oberammergau was the town where they perform the passion play every decade. Such interesting history. The town is so charming, quiet, peaceful and our hotel was centrally located in it. You can explore the shops, rent bikes, have a coffee, find live music, dine on a patio. And it’s all tucked away in the Bavarian Alps. Just Beautiful. Our rooms were very cozy, with a nice balcony overlooking the town.

I only have one recommendation. Please put kettles and mugs in the rooms. One evening it began to rain. We were sitting on the patio and wanted some hot tea. Thankfully, I had brought tea bags with us and we went to the front desk and asked for two cups of hot water. Front desk obliged our request and we had our hot tea on the balcony. One of my favorite memories!

hotel is in a great location, walk to everything (it is a small town) friendly staff, our room was in the main building which we would suggest.

we were there for a wedding end of August and the weather was hot! there is no A/C in the hotel, only a fan which we had to have on for the 5 days we were there whenever we were in the room. Beds could use some descent pillows, they were too flat!

Bathrooms were not suitable for older people. To shower you had to step into a high bathtub, the bathtub itself was slippery. Very hard to shower and keep water of the floor in the bathroom. Then to get out of the bathtub was another problem, no bars to hold onto. Our son and his wife had a water stall, but also old , and very narrow.

The place was exactly what we wished, traditional bavarian hotel, old style decoration, room with view on the small square, atmosphere and nice food. Few points to improve: internet service is not stable and very weak, bathroom cleaning (shower with mold between the tiles), the waiters not smilling at all and very abrupt (for the level of quality and price of the hotel to me these points are important)

Location is perfect to walk everywhere. It’s a beautiful building with lovely decor. The reception staff was friendly and helpful and the cleaning staff was excellent in helping.

Black mold all over the shower; towels are old and need replacing; restaurant food is ok but not the best.

The parking place was with electric charging. The breakfast option was too good. The staff was also very nice and helpful. I will definitely book this hotel again for my stay in Oberammergau near Garmisch.

The room was very hot in the night but that is something which I should have informed earlier. There was no direct option of reducing the heat.

The hotel is perfectly located in the very cute town of Oberammergau, a much better choice than staying in Garmisch Partenkirchen. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent, very good quality and excellent choice.

We stayed for two nights. The first night we had a room in the annexe at the back of the hotel. The room needed updating and it was inconvenient having the bed located in a loft. The dinner menu was not particularly inviting and our meal not great quality.
