It was perfect for me, exactly what I wanted. The location is amazing. The view is miraculous. The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating; Alina at reception, Nana and Sherva(sp?) servers in the dining room and bar. The food is tasty and the breakfast buffet, with a bit of everything, is perfect. I thoroughly enjoyed the saunas and pool. Had I had more time, I would have taken advantage of the gym. Parking is included. There's plenty of parking on the street as well. There are two spots for electric cars. The view from my room was spectacular. My huge double bed was extremely comfortable. I was in heaven. Thank you for a spectacular birthday week everyone. ... And Nana ... doubling as my travel agent.. . She's got the best tips of where to go and what to see! 🙏💖🙏

We stayed for one night with our child and dog. The location is stunning — very peaceful and surrounded by nature. The pool and parking were included, which was a nice bonus. Breakfast was average, but unfortunately, a large tour group was staying at the same time. In the evening, the restaurant was closed to other guests due to the group’s private event. In the morning, most of the breakfast buffet had already been cleared out by the group, and staff were slow or unable to replenish the food. Sadly, we didn’t get to enjoy a proper breakfast. Overall, it’s a beautiful place, but the guest experience may vary depending on the hotel’s occupancy.

Hotel is located in Ettal. Just 700 m to the center with restaurants and the monastery. Close to the hiking trails and Linderhof castle. Very silent area with view to the mountains, forest and meadows. We appreciate that hotel accepted our cat :-) without any problems at all.

Poor service in the restaurant by the two waiters. They focus on one table at the time, don't look around and don't hear your voice calling them... We were waiting about 10 minutes just to get the menu (without success) so we gave up and went to the town. It's a pity because the hotel is really nice and we have to decrease our rating because of the poor service.

The communication was great, checking in was easy and pleasant. We were severely delayed, but the staff kept a key out for us as we discussed. It saved our night! The water pressure in the shower was incredible, and we always love when there is a water cooker available for a midnight cup of tea, or a quick cup of noodles.

We couldn't find out at what time the breakfast buffet was available, so we missed breakfast. It wasn't a big deal, since we were leaving anyway, but it would have been nice to have a quick bite.

The service & staff were excellent. Breakfast buffet had great choices, Evening meals were excellent as well. The room had a great view and plenty of light. Parking was easy and free. Location was convenient to Ettal as well as other attractions in the area. We would stay here again if we come back to the general area. It is worth going out of the way to experience this hotel and friendly staff.

Have no negative comments.

The area is AMAZING! The breakfast had all you could ask for. Shops and restaurants were in walking distance and it wasn't overcrowded. We loved walking through the local historic church and tasting some of their beer. We got some souvenirs from oberammergau, only a short drive from the hotel.

The only down side for us wasn't really the hotel's fault. While we were there, a heat wave kept the area quite warm. As the hotel had no air conditioning, it was a bit uncomfortable to rest

The Room was specious and Clean , WIFI good , Staff were very mice and helpful. Car parking was available near the hotel, Almost everything was nice . We enjoyed our stay.

Property has no A/C in the rooms , So during the night if you keep the windows open you will suffer from insects and mosquitoes , so it will be good idea if they put nets on the windows so you can open the windows for cooling without getting the insects inside the room while sleeping

Alphotel Ettal offers a charming and cozy retreat in a beautiful alpine setting, We stayed in a ground floor room, which was convenient as we were traveling with a dog. The view was still great, and we had direct access to the hotel's backyard. The food was good, with generous portions. Generally, there is enough parking, but during winter peak season, it might become an issue. Despite these minor inconveniences, our stay was enjoyable.

The exterior could benefit from some renovation. For some reason, we were asked to make a reservation for dinner even though it wasn't peak season. Despite this, they reluctantly provided us with a table.

The room was surprisingly large and comfortable. The view from the balcony was lovely, and despite the close proximity to a major roadway, very little was heard from the balcony of our room. The spa area was well stocked with fresh towels and the temperature of the pool was just right. 'Downtown' was just a short walk away.

The breakfast left a lot to be desired but this may simply be due to the small amount of guests at the time making it more challenging to provide fresh, hot food for the duration of the breakfast time.

I loved the herd of sheep right outside our balcony! We could see and hear them all day and night 😊 It was so relaxing- It was just like counting sheep! The temperature was very nice and the fresh clean air was so sweet we left our door and window open. The balcony said it was shared but there was a large panel of wood dividing it so it was great. The room was very large and comfortable. I could have stayed longer. The breakfast was good as well

I didn't like that there was no refrigerator in the room. I really look to always have one when we stay at a hotel for more than one night. We need cold water and drinks when we travel. We ate at the restaurant and it wasn't very good for German food. It might have just been the menu for the night. Also no other restaurants in easy walking distance.
