Beautifully maintained and restored bed & breakfast. Clean, modern farmhouse-style rooms in an old Bavarian building. Breakfast had breads, jams, meats, cheese, fruits, granola; the owner would ask each morning if you would like a fresh cooked egg and bacon, to order. The attic room was huge! It had a size bed (two twins in a king frame) in the bedroom, and another large separate living area (separated by a door) with a sofa bed (double size), and a TV, as well as a mini fridge. The attic skylights popped open for a view of the sky and ventilation. A standing fan provided air circulation. The first floor room had a small patio area with chairs outside and sofa bed in a nook inside. All rooms are different and unique. The owner is friendly and the hotel is a short walk into the downtown area with shops and restaurants…quiet and close. We were given “König cards” which give discounts at some area attractions. Unfortunately the list and descriptions are only written in German. We did use ours to get feee admission to the Museum at Neuschwanstein (not the castles themselves), and that was nice.

If you have a problem with stairs, be sure to book a room on the main floor as the stairs are many to get elsewhere. If you want to utilize a sofa bed you must ask in advance to get the bedding prepared. There are no other bedding options, just the king beds and sofa beds (not sure those are in each room or not)

The accommodations were clean, comfortable and quiet. Josef was very responsive to questions. The location was good for walking into and through Oberammergau, parking located conveniently on the property. Coffee was available throughout the day, the breakfast selections were numerous and Josef’s scrambled eggs were perfection. I lovely visit.

We were on the third floor which of course meant climbing stairs with luggage. This was not an issue for us but might be something to consider for others who may have accommodation needs. There was nothing we didn’t like about his facility.

This little hotel is located in the perfect location near the Bavarian Alps with easy access to majority of must see places. Staff was super friendly, breakfast out of this world traditional Bavarian breads and wurst, with jams and eggs made to order to your liking . Joseph was a wealth of information and the kind of person you want greeting you when you arrive.

Parking was a little tricky but manageable.

This wonderful place felt like a home away from home. It is setup to give guests freedom to come and go and the staff are incredibly nice and accommodating. The location is situated with phenomenal views of the surrounding landscape, while only being a few minutes walk into town. So much to do in the area accessible by walk, car, bike, and public transportation. We ended up staying two extra nights! We can’t say enough about Mammhofer Suite & Breakfast and look forward to returning sometime in the future.

Joseph is an excellent host. This is our second time at the Mammhofer Suite and Breakfast. The rooms and grounds are super clean and beautiful. We enjoyed the morning breakfast and coffee. We will be back!

Our refrigerator wasn’t working properly, but we were able to store out items in the kitchen refrigerator.

Lovely small hotel in Oberammergau with a parking lot for about 6-7 cars behind the building down a tiny side street. Check in was fast, friendly & easy. Room was spacious with minibar & wardrobe in-room. Mountain view. Very comfortable bed & pillows. Very quiet town at night, peaceful. Perfect location in central area within easy walking distance of the entire town. Hot water in the shower. Clean room. Excellent breakfast. The König Pass for the area's attractions/ discounts was provided free of charge with the stay.

Property location was great. Clean place!

Room specific the couch we had was not comfortable at all. I like the idea of having a sitting area but the couch needs to be comfortable. I would also like an option for English subtitles or language change on the television. We don’t watch much TV but when everything closes early I sometimes like to unwind a little.

We stayed in the family suite. It was 2 bedrooms separated by a sliding door both with King beds and 1 bathroom. It was plenty of room for our family so that everyone had their own space. It also had a balcony that looked out at the mountains. Breakfast was included in the stay and had a good variety to choose from as well as eggs made to order. The outside of the inn was a typical German building but inside it was updated and very modern. It was within walking distance to the restaurants and shops in the town. It was rainy everyday we were there and they had umbrellas that guests could use for the day. That was a nice thoughtful touch. It was perfect for what we needed and would stay there again for sure.

I'm not sure there was anything that we didn't like....maybe some things to note....there were only a few parking spots. We never had a problem with parking but if there were a lot of guest is may be an issue. Also we missed it the first time we drove by it with the use of google maps so maybe just pay attention as you are getting closer to the destination. There is no elevator...we had no problem with this but some people might want to know this information.

The location was perfect and close to downtown. The room was large with a balcony and a great view. The management and staff were amazing and helpful. I lost my cap on the side of the mountain from Alpine Coaster, Stefani made a call, and I got my cap back. Ina kept the room spotless, and a wonderful Bavarian breakfast is included . It rained a couple of days, and there were umbrellas at the front door to use at no charge. I will always stay here on my trips to Oberammergau.

Absolutely loved this place. The room was at the top of the building was very spacious with a beautiful view of the Alps. The breakfast was excellent every morning, the staff were all nice and helpful. The ambience of the property is calm and quiet as is the town around it. The price was also very reasonable.

The room did not have AC but it's not needed in my opinion. We left the windows open in October and they provided a cooler fan unit that worked fine.
