As am American family, we are used to booking 2-queen rooms for the four of us. Schwarzes Lamm had a quad room available for us at a reasonable price. The room was clean, large and the kids didn’t have to share a bed! We didn’t eat in the restaurant, however, breakfast was well supplied with quality German breakfast foods! They are located well for quick (3 minute )and easy access to Rothenburg.

This was not a problem caused by the hotel, however, the nearest parking area outside the city wall did not have pay-by-card active so we had to pay by coin

This was wonderful and charming. The staff were all very attentive and friendly, parking was easy and available, and the breakfast was very nice. We had lots of space in our room and a generously sized shower and large bathroom. We really enjoyed our stay.

If we’d been staying longer, we’d want a fridge in the room, and perhaps brighter lighting in the bathroom. The location is unfortunately a 25 min hike uphill to Rothenburg city centre, but I don’t think there’s much to be done about that. It was still very enjoyable!

Lovely location about a 20-min scenic walk from Rothenburg. Our family room (double and two singles) was very comfortable with an old-style wooden bedroom and a modern bathroom. There was a nice shared sitting area where my son and I played our board games before dinner. The restaurant was cosy with excellent German food and breakfast was a generous mix of cold cuts, eggs, bread, cereals and good coffee from an espresso machine. Good to have easy parking in the rear, too.

The staff could have been a tiny bit more open and friendly. But no issues.

The hotel exceeded our expectations. The breakfast, rooms, and location was exceptional for the price. Our three kids loved the location and atmosphere. We walked along the Tauber and to the city market. The rooms were clean and cozy. Thank you for a great stay.

Even though our family doesn't speak the local language well, the staff was friendly and accommodating for our young family. Parking is first-come-first-served and we did not have trouble finding a spot.

A great stay. We booked a standard room, and we found this very spacious and clean with everything we needed. The beds were comfortable. The shower was powerful, and the water was hot. Great WIFI signal. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. A short walk to the old town.

There wasn't any tea making facilities in our room but we were prepared and bought our own kettle, tea and milk. There wasn't any English tv channels.

Staff were very friendly. We were late, and forgot front desk will have no staff on site after 6:00pm, staff emailed me twice asking when we would check in, but I did not check email, when we finally arrived at hotel around 8:20pm, staff is still waiting for us, and helped us to get settled. We really appreciated. Next morning, my friend was not filling well, and missed breakfast time, the gentleman asked cooker to prepare sandwich for her, make her feel at home.

Room was little hot, no air condition but I guess that could be normal in DE.

Friendly staff, they have the information prerecorded in your language. There is a path to the actual town with signs and lights , we followed it under the full moon and nothing bad happened! The town decorated for Christmas is fabulous . We went in the first day at the opening of the Christmas fair . It was mostly with the locals and it was colorful, cosy and not to crowded. The town is truly charming, day and night! So many unique corners to discover...

Very kind and helpful front staff. Great communication via text on arrival time. Room was clean and beds comfortable. Shower in our room was fantastic! Normal shower head and jets - very relaxing after a hot day of sightseeing. Breakfast included scrammbled eggs!

I would NOT suggest walking up the hill to get to the city! I think the "walk through town" is a bit longer, but it is probably flatter!

A lovely place - just out of rothenburg town that is perfect for the price. Breakfast was also great. A nice walk to town - but you do need to have enough fitness do walk 2.5km and up a hill - which we found not a problem.

Sorry - but there was a couple.of things. The curtains were see through so it was light very early in the morning - so our sleep was not great. The neighbour's also arrived to their room around 11pm and we could hear them talking and everything creaking and moving - which was also a little hard for us to sleep.

We loved the space in our airbnb, and the staff was wonderful. It was spacious with plenty of room. The location was very good for Austria, Fussen and Munich visits. We had a washing machine, which we used a few times. The rooms were nice, and we had enough bathrooms to accommodate 6 people. We appreciate the kind staff and owners.

Nothing to dislike, everything was great.
