An excellent hotel in a truly superb location. Some superior rooms, restaurant and bar/bistro are directly opposite the famous Porta Nigra. For anyone who suffers from allergic asthma, this hotel is ideal, since no chemical cleaning agents or so-called air-fresheners or fabric conditions are used in the rooms. Nevertheless the rooms are spotlessly clean.

Note that not all rooms have fridges, although provision is made in case one needs to keep medications etc cold. Even where fridges are provided, they are not stocked (i.e. no mini-bar) but purchases can be made at reception desk.

The location of the hotel it's absolutely perfect, in city center across the Porta Nigra. Restaurant, shops and supermarkets within 5 minutes. The room was super spacious and the most important the reception staff was super friendly and super professional.

The whole vibe it's that this is a late 1990 hotel. Old and outdated furniture. The bathroom definitely it's a mediocre quality with water leaking inside when you shower. Another thing that I felt that it's missing from the room, a fridge. For hot summer days this is a essential. Definitely you should consider bringing the hotel in 2025.

Fantastic location- close to the train station, all the ancient city sights, lots of restaurants nearby, even a good grocery store, nice morning coffee. The staff was so helpful with my bicycle. I loved my extra large room- it was comfortable and bathroom nicely updated. It was a Holy Week, so had a chance to attend Mass at the Cathedral— beautiful service, choir/string orchestra/organ playing Haydn & Mozart sacred music. Very special trip!

I couldn’t justify the morning breakfast cost although it would have simplified my trip.

The location is fantastic. Literally across the street from the Porta Nigra gate. Our rooms looked directly on the gate and that in itself is nice and impressive. Convenience of the underground parking if you are by car in unrivaled. The staff are very polite and courteous and speak multiple languages (we interacted mostly in English & French).

The hotel surely has the charm of a once upon a time ‘in’ place but has not necessarily updated to be modern and fresh, neither in decor nor in appliances. The bathrooms definitely need an upgrade and almost impossible to get WiFi connection outside of the lobby. The hotel does not have room service which is fine but the restaurant was closed at 9pm.. on a Friday evening. The logic escaped me on this.. but fine, we ordered uber eats.

Breakfast buffet was great. Location was perfect so close to central market, historic sites, and bahnhoff. Parking at hotel was good as well. Cost for parking and breakfast were reasonable. Small bistro was very nice.

Bistro/bar hours varied in terms of opening. Would have been nice to be consistent and to open for lunch. Opened at 1700 and began food service at 1730 and closed at 2300.

The location is unbeatable—probably the best in the city! I stayed in a room with a stunning view of Porta Nigra right outside my window—an incredible sight to wake up to! Check-in was seamless, completed online beforehand, with just a quick signature to get the key. The room and bathroom were spacious, spotless, and cozy. A thoughtful touch was the welcome note and city magnet. The parking, located directly behind the hotel and underground, was super convenient with direct access to the hotel lift. Plus, the hotel is just steps from the city center and plenty of great restaurants.

The location opposite the Ponta Nigra was wonderful. We opened our bedroom window are it wax right there in front of us. It had a perfect underground car park where our bikes were safe. The beds were really comfortable and so were the pillows. We didn’t include meals as the town was only a very short walk away. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Not much to dislike. Why on earth would you put reading lamps right over the middle of the beds. Could hardly sit up and read or watch TV.

Room enough space. Bathroom enough storage area. View from the breakfast table on the Porta Nigra. The bar has different types of sitting areas and has a lovely vintage look. Terrasse outside with view to the Porta Nigra. Nice sitting corner in the entrance/reception. All over very good value for money. Just cross the street and you're in the middle of the pedestrian zone of the historic city center.

Hotel could be renovated step by step by keeping it's current atmosphere. No vegan option in the restaurant/bar and very few at breakfast- a no go for Germany and very easy to set up.

Lovely room with a view of the Porta Nigra from my window. Great to have a bath as well as a shower. Good to have a little fridge and a large safe which holds a laptop and which is easy to operate. I had everything I needed.

Only thing that was not good was the reading lamps above the bed. They were bulky and so low that in order to sit up in bed I had to sit to the side. I banged my head on the lamp more than once.

Great location, only about 500m in a straight line from the railway station and a short wsalk through the Porta Nigra to the beautiful pedestrian old town with many restaurants and all the main sights. Room was large with plenty of storage available. Comfortable bed. Bathroom was good too and also with enough storage. Great breakfast buffet with many items to chose from.
