The place is truly beautiful, everything was clean and everything worked perfectly. The pool is amazing, and everything is peaceful and pleasant, just like in the pictures.

The only downside is the location. For me and my girlfriend, it wasn’t a problem since we planned to rent a car, but even just one day without a car is difficult. The nearest restaurant is 15 minutes away, and the closest grocery store is about 20 minutes away. Getting to the nearest beach is also challenging. I wouldn’t recommend this accommodation to people who don’t plan to rent a car or don’t have a driver’s license.

This was a last minute booking with hardly any research. We weren’t expecting much especially as it was so reasonably priced ! wow! This place was absolutely STUNNING! The grounds are beautiful, our apartment was spotlessly clean and the pool was the nicest we’ve ever swam in. Perfect temperature, spotlessly clean and we found ourselves having the entire place to ourselves most days! The town isn’t far away but I agree with other reviews you do need a car as it is very hilly and hot! The bed was really comfy, we slept so well and enjoyed sundowners on the balcony most evenings. If you want a very authentic, exceptionally priced, beautiful, sunny getaway book it now! We had an apartment rather than a studio which came with a little kitchenette. We would definitely go back and would recommend to friends and family

The stone cottages are very characteristic. Ours had a terrace with a breathtaking view: definitely the best thing about this hotel. The apartment was very clean and equipped with everything we needed. The front desk staff were very kind, waiting for us and welcoming us with a smile even though we arrived quite late due to various setbacks.

Keep in mind that you will always need your car, as you won't be able to go anywhere on foot from there.

Our stay at the Ambelos apartment was absolutely delightful. The location was perfect, offering stunning views and easy access to local attractions. The apartment itself was clean, well-equipped, and tastefully decorated, providing a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. The hosts, Andreas and the team, were incredibly hospitable and attentive, ensuring that all our needs were met promptly. I highly recommend this apartment for anyone looking for a lovely and memorable stay in Crete.

The whole place was very cute, felt like we were on a farm, very peaceful. Pool was great and the apartments nice and cosy with a great shower. Staff were very nice. Agia Pelagia is only a 5 minute drive away with a nice beach, shops and nice restaurants.

The view from the balcony and all around the place was amazing! You could see the sunset! The staff helped us with everything we needed (info about crete) made us feel like home! And every 3 days they cleaned our room even though we had everything we needed to clean it ourselves!!!!

The placement of the objects inside the room was a bit weird, we could see tv only when we were seated at the table and the air-conditioning was directed to our beds. But those were easy to fix things

The vine-covered balcony was amazing. The whole hotel looked stunning from the outside and had a great sea view cause it was fairly high up. Clean, large room and bathroom, if slightly dated. Large pool, plently of sunbeds, never crowded. A peaceful place to just chill and relax. Shaded car port available. Agia Pelagia is a 30-40 min walk away (downhill), which may seem like much but was entirely doable, especially in the evening when it's cooler. We even walked back uphill twice during our stay.

Mattress was uncomfortable. AC unit was in the kitchen, but cool air does reach the bedroom. No tea, coffee, sugar, salt or pepper in the kichen. Not even a bottle of water in the fridge, which was really disappointing for us arriving late and tired. Closest shop is a 5 min drive (or a 30 min walk) away. I wish they charged 5 euros extra per room and just stocked it with the basics. It's annoying having to buy a whole pack of coffee and sugar for a 4-night stay. Front door didn't shut properly unless locked.

The apartment had everything we needed and was very clean. The kitchen was also well equipped and the air conditioner was working really good. The pool was very big, clean and offered many sunbeds with umbrellas. The staff is amazing and the whole hotel area is just pretty. There are many plants growing fruits and vegetables and we were allowed to pick some figs and grapes. I can recommend this hotel and would choose it 100% again if I would go on another trip to Crete.

There is almost nothing I didn't like, just some small things. I personally just wasn't a big fan of the pillows of the beds because they were kind of hard for me.

Staff were fantastic, friendly and unobtrusive. Our room was in the old traditional style, the AC was very welcome! It was very clean and simple but had everything we needed. The WiFi was great. The location was ok. We are fit but you do need a car. The walk to and from the beach is manageable but steep on the way back! The closest beach was great, with a shingle beach, crystal clear water, parasols and a couple of tavernas. Highly recommend Taverna Vassilis.

It's missing a trick! Breakfast and a coffee bar or snack bar and occasional traditional evening would have made this place perfect. I understand its a quiet resort but in my opinion, being able to buy a coffee or fruit smoothie wouldn't have changed the overall ambience. Unfortunately there are no tavernas close enough without it being a bit of a walk to the beach or a bit further up the hill. The best supermarket is also too far to walk to. The only negative is that its almost too remote - small children would struggle with the hill, we are regular runners and I struggled with the hill coming back. Not that it bothered me but there were no TV channels, just radio.

The view was amazing the room was very clean i loved every minute of staying in the apartment. The terrace was amazing the wind was blowing and it was never too hot nor too cold overall Experience 10 out of 10

Only the bed is a bit uncomfortable.
