We absolutely loved our stay. It was a great location just a short walk from most major attractions and lots of fantastic food options nearby. The rooms were clean and small (which we were aware of when booking but more than enough for two) Staff were helpful especially Zoi at the pool bar who was exceptional and so attentive. Overall a fab stay and will be back.

Not really a negative but we read lots of reviews about the hotel being intimidating from the outside, we did not feel this was the case and we’re so glad we didn’t let it put us off. We felt perfectly safe walking around at all hours, there was a lot of graffiti but it was in other areas too.

I loved this stay. Everything was clean and the service of the staff was great. They upgraded our room for our honeymoon and gave us a bottle of wine. Not a long walk to center, safe area! It was also easy to find. I like that they had a security guard out front at all hours and 24 hour reception. They easily helped arrange a taxi the night before I left on very short notice. The rooftop bar is pretty with pool, too cold for us to swim when we visited due to weather. Breakfast was fantastic, best I had out of any of the hotels in Athens I have stayed at. Would recommend for a couple that wants a clean, localized, place to stay while exploring Athens.

The room is a little tiny for our taste. We had a room with a balcony and with two large suitcases and carry ons it was difficult but we made it work. Our friends had a room without a balcony and it was a little bigger for their suitcases but not by much. I would book a larger room if possible next time. That was the only downside, everything else was perfect!

We chose this accommodation because it's dog friendly and it had good reviews and it was a great choice. We have travelled a lot around Europe with our little dog and without doubt this has been by far the best stay and the best city to travel with her. She was welcomed everywhere we went, so for everyone hesitating to visit Athens with a pet, please go ahead! The best of the hotel from my point of view, was the kindness of the staff (especially the buffet manager, Christoforos) and the quality and variety of typical food for breakfast (buffet-brunch). And it's also well located. The rooms are not super big but for us it was fine and they have a Nespresso machine refilled with the coffee capsules every day which is an extra point.

Probably one of the best breakfast selections we’ve ever had. Amazing staff at breakfast too. The pool area is super nice but it was fill when we were there. No wonder, it was 35 degrees out.

If you’re staying longer and have a lot of luggage, book a large room. The standard rooms are quite small. Comfortable, well equipped, but not spacious.

The hotel staff is exceptionally kind and helpful. The bed is very comfortable, and the facilities, including the gym, bar, and pool, are fantastic. The location is perfect. We had to extend my stay for an extra night due to a flight cancellation, and the staff went above and beyond to assist me.

The hotel was in an excellent location, just a five minute walk from lots of lovely bars and restaurants. We were also able to walk to all the sights too. The hotel pool and bar staff were fantastic and gave great service. We used the pool every day and we were given water on arrival and looked after by the staff there. The room itself was comfortable with a great shower and large bed!

The only thing that bothered us was our room was never cleaned before 3pm, which meant that actually it then didn't often get cleaned as we would normally be back from our day at this point, relaxing to get ready for the evening. Not sure if cleaned from the top rooms down and we were on the second floor.

Extremely friendly staff, nicest staff I have experienced at a hotel, assisted with any issues faced for example on our third night we were having issues with our safe and we called down to the reception and they came up to the room in less then 3 minutes, some days we didn’t want our room cleaned and the housekeepers made sure to ask if we had water or needed anything. Security and staff always greeting us in mornings and evening on way back to hotel.

The only issue we faced in the hotel was that we booked for a double bed and got two single mattresses pushed together although this didn’t ruin our sleep, just a minor inconvenience.

I loved our stay at this hotel. The neighborhood is ideal, easy train from airport, tons of restaurants, bars, coffee, etc I wanted to go to. The room was huge and silent, I slept so well. I also took advantage of the lovely little pool.

Front desk staff was quite cold. I didn't actually need anything from them, but i do have an expectation of a hello or even a little smile. it is the hospitality industry, after all.

Very clean , neat and comfy hotel and rooms… room space was adequate…bed and pillows super comfy and gave me the rest I needed after long day of roaming around the city. Reception and specially to call out ( Dimitri) was extremely helpful and helped to get us the room ready and facilitated early check which was of a great help to us! He was as well planning our day trips and arranging Taxis for us… Daily cleanup of the room and security was a plus… the location is a hidden gem close to all attractions of the city minutes literally away from Palaka and main shopping center and acropolis. If I would visit Athens again I will definitely choose the same hotel again.

Our family of 6 adults stayed for 4 nights and loved staying at Hotel Anise. We asked the hotel to arrange transport from the airport- this worked perfectly. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and and this was maintained throughout our stay. The fridge in the room was useful and there were bottles of water and a coffee pod machine which were replenished. The bathroom was modern and well equipped with quality class shower/hair products. The breakfast room was decorated with a cool vibe and food was plentiful and varied for all types of dietary requirements. All staff were friendly and helpful. We loved Christofferson, one of the staff on duty for much of our stay and the door security were chatty and friendly too. We were staying with our 4 adult 'children' and they all loved their rooms and how friendly and welcoming all staff members were. The hotel were very good in replying to messages or queries. Location was great for walking to all attractions. We did not use the metro as we walked everywhere. Although the immediate area was not polished, we felt safe. There were local interesting shops and within a very short walk there were cafes and restaurants with plenty of choice for all palates. If we visit Athens again, we would stay here again.
