Very friendly and helpful staff. The reception team explains everything clearly and is always ready to assist if any questions arise. The housekeeping staff also do an excellent job, cleaning thoroughly and responding immediately to any requests. We booked a more expensive room with a view of the Acropolis, and it was truly, truly impressive. The balcony is so spacious that, while you might not be able to play football there, a 3x3 game would definitely fit! Breakfast is of good quality, though the selection is rather minimal.

On the downside, the room itself was very small (quite cramped), and one suggestion for the hotel’s maintenance team would be to remove the leftover markings and notes from workers on the walls. This would make the overall impression even better and more polished. 😊

This hotel was a fantastic surprise and an absolute gem. I find some of the negative reviews hard to understnad. The location is ideal—right on the edge of the old town, so you’re close to the action without being all the noise and crowds. We stayed in a superior room, which felt brand new—stylish, well-furnished, with a fridge and a modern bathroom and an excellent shower. The bed and pillows were genuinely comfortable, and the small balcony with a view of the Acropolis was perfect for unwinding. One standout for me was the cleanliness, great in a way that many similar hotels just don’t manage. But the real highlight? The rooftop terrace and breakfast room. The vibe is relaxed and uplifting, with great energy. The terrace is open 24/7, and you’re free to bring your own drinks—ideal for watching the sunrise, sunset, or enjoying the city lights. Breakfast went above expectations. It’s more than just the usual continental —everything was fresh and well-prepared. Warm boiled eggs (rare!), fresh bread straight from the oven, juicy kiwis, flavorful cheeses, hummus, and savory pies. If I had to nitpick: coffee options were basic. A cappuccino or a traditional Greek coffee would’ve been great. And the packed breakfast we received on our early departure day was a letdown—a sad little sandwich and a bottle of water. But neither of those points are deal-breakers. The staff were warm, helpful, and consistently kind—at both the front desk and breakfast area. Bottom line: If you’re headed to Athens, this hotel is 100% worth booking. Central, peaceful, clean, and full of thoughtful details that make your stay feel elevated.

The location of the hotel was nice, really close to the nicest places in Athens. The hotel was clean, and the staff really kind and helpful. We had the check out before 7 A.M , so they prepared us breakfast to go.

The room was very hot and humid. And unfortunately, the AC was an old one that could not be properly set up to have a certain temperature or sleep mode, so we kind of struggled with the heat, could not get a proper sleep. But I am sure if we have asked the reception to do something, or to change the room, I am sure they would have accommodated us.

We did alot of research and are so happy we stayed here at the evripides hotel, it is a haven of peace and comfort in a big busy city, the location is perfect for walking all around athens, athens is actually not a big city and everything you want to see is an easy walk. The building is practical and functional with a terrific lobby , toilets and safe luggage storage before checkin, the staff are all amazing people, generous, happy, professional , flexible, really genuine greek lovely people thank you to them all at reception and the breakfast team and also to the hard working housekeeping ladies, the room was spotless clean and well equipped. we booked an acropolis room view on the 6th floor huge balcony and totally recommended for the best views in town especially in the early morning watching the lights and having a cup of tea. we loved the design of the rooms modern, functional, spacious, bed amazing and linen good quality. Typical traditional greek breakfast boiled eggs/ beautiful fresh bread/ biggest tomatoes you have ever seen , cheeses, juice et olives and hommous.thank you to the hotel staff for making our stay in Athens memorable

nothing we loved it all

Absolutely loved this hotel. The hotel room was nicely renovated, modern, clean, spacious, good mattress, quiet a/c - small balcony, sun/light blocking curtains. The staff are lovely, breakfast on level 7 has view of acropolis, plenty of space, good spread of food, fruits, breads, toaster, cheeses, meats, cereal etc it’s fresh and topped up. Staff there are so friendly and helpful nothing is too much trouble. The location seems seedy but as a solo woman no issues at all, I liked the location able to walk everywhere or hotel call a taxi and relay location in Greek. Large a/c sitting area on ground floor. I have stayed in at least 10 hotels in last 3 months in this budget range and I didn’t want to leave here. Stayed 5 nights.

There was nothing to not like my only coffee addiction would like a cappuccino option on the coffee machine.

The hotel was located about 5 minutes walk to the main market and the Plaka district in Athens centre. It has a lovely view of the Parthenon from the roof. The room we had was modern and the beds extremely comfortable, although it was on the small side. We were fortunate to have a balcony, however it was not very private, as all the balconies were only separated from one another with a wire type fence. The bathroom was compact, but very modern and the shower was very good. We were only there for two nights, but the storage in the room was limited, so we ended up living out of our suitcases. We had breakfast included and it was of a reasonable standard and set you up for the day exploring the city.

No real privacy on the balconies. A lack of decent storage in the room.

The staff are absolutely incredible! We had to go to hospital during our visit and the staff helped look up where specialist doctors were operating from and which hospital to go to. They then checked in with us and clearly genuinely cared Breakfast was amazing! Home made traditional cheese pie, bougstsa, and yummy greek yoghurt and cold spreads. All prepared by the Greek team in the kitchen. Rooms were also completely cleaned floor to ceiling. Walking distance to all the attractions and sightseeing. This place was absolutely the best value for money. Stay here, you won't regret it!

Nothing - it was all perfect

Smallish but well designed and renovated room on 6th floor with a large corner balcony and spectacular views to the Acropolis. Quiet space, comfy bed and very good shower. Friendly and helpful staff. Great rooftop and bar, also with spectacular views of Acropolis and city. Great breakfasts. Good location as there are many restaurants and bars within easy walking distance, and easy to walk to tourist sights, too. The neighbourhood has a grungy feel but we liked that and felt very safe and comfortable walking around after dark. No issues.

Nothing. We enjoyed our stay.

Great clean room , good size , lovely bed linen, good a/c. Small balcony enough to sit out with view of Acropolis!! Breakfast excellent , fresh and plenty of choice. The breakfast room and roof top terrace are what makes this hotel. Fantastic views of Acropolis and Athens . Location great for metro , eateries. and music .

The reception is very basic and gives a poor first impression of the hotel overall . The hotel is so much more than the reception indicates.

This is a great hotel in the Psyri area of Athens which has a nice village feel even though it's bustling and right in the middle of the city only a 20.minute walk from the Acropolis and 10 minutes from Monistiraki Square. The room was spacious and clean with proper wardrobe and very good Aircon. Bed was king-size and very comfortable Breakfast was great with lots of choice and excellent views across to the Acropolis Of an evening it doubles as a bar and it was great to sit on the roof terrace with a glass of wine Staff were very friendly and helpful and were on reception 24 hrs. There are loads of great bars and tavernas on the doorstep and live music in the square It's easy to get to with a train from the airport to Monistiraki station then a 10 minute walk

The Psyri area looks a bit run down and pavements are sometimes blocked by tables while.the streets are quite narrow so not ideal if you have mobility issues It is a vibrant area though and didn't feel unsafe It worked out at £60 per night B&B for 2 people so a real bargain
