Excellent price and fairly central location. The towels were really soft and the bathroom excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable and the room really good. I would recommend it.

The breakfast was disappointing: no fresh fruit or yoghurt. The juice was cordial and there was nothing hot for breakfast. I tended to eat elsewhere for breakfast. That's my only real criticism.

Really hotel and great value for money. All you could ask for at this price, clean (the room was even cleaned in the day while we were out), balcony, good location near the centre, Had a lovely rooftop balcony as well as the one in our room, and an elevator to take you there which is good when you have lots of luggage. Our bathroom was nice, clean, and we were provided with plenty of fresh towels. Remote-control air con in the room which was absolutely brilliant esp when it's warm. All in all, really good value and a very pleasant stay for a couple of nights.

There weren't any bedside sockets in our room, but that's a pretty petty criticism and not a necessity. There were police who stood outside of the hotel on both the nights we were there. It was a little unnerving and i'm not sure what the situation was but that's obviously no fault of the hotel's. Other than that, a great stay.

This Hotel seemed to be in a lost corner of Athens, but it was only a 30min walk to the "Centre" through some of the most beautiful little side streets covered with street art and interesting shops, cafe and parks. The hotel was exactly what I expected for the price. The room contained a double bed, desk, chair and wardrobe, with an ensuite bathroom containing a toilet, shower and sink. Towels and bedding were provided, along with toiletries. The room was cleaned every day. The breakfast was minimal but sufficient for the purpose. The desk was manned 24hrs a day, and the lift was small but surprisingly quick. The highlight was the rooftop bar with views overlooking the city. A well-stocked mini market is around the corner, and pharmacies are within a short walk. Andreas Fish restaurant is a must-visit.... beautiful food. Take the open-top bus ride. It will show you the whole city, and you can decide where to explore more.

Honestly, the only thing would be a toaster in the breakfast dining room. I was a little un-nerved regarding the 24hr police presence outside, but it made me feel safer being a solo female traveller.

I'd been a little nervous about staying in what might appear to be a gritty neighbourhood (what with the heavily graffitied streets and armed police stationed outside the hotel), but in fact I really liked the lively and non-touristy feel of the area, and it felt safe. There were plenty of great restaurants and take-aways near by, and I walked easily from the Cycladic Art museum back to the hotel without any problem. The location is also very handy for the Archaeological Museum. Also, it was fun to walk up the nearby Lofos Strefi hill at sunset for the lovely views.

The staff is courteous and helpful. The staff loves sharing local knowledge about the area and gives insightful travel tips (directions, "how to", etc.). The breakfast is quintessential and of good quality (tasty and ripe peaches, nice mini-croissants, etc.). I loved their hot toasts in the morning. On my first three days, I missed breakfast. I was heavily jet-lagged and preparing for my science meeting. Yet, they gave me breakfast. This hotel's location is central, a 10-minute walk from Omonia Square (Metro station). The wifi is reasonably fast and reliable, so I was able to submit my project assignments by the impending deadline! The bathroom is clean; the shower has good pressure.

All good

It is a perfect location right in the "camden town" of Athens - a little edgy but chock full of restaurants and bars and publishers and right next to everything else and just 10 minutes walk from the tube. You might be alarmed by the riot police on every corner and the square opposite is a building site waiting for a new metro (the two are related) but there is nothing going on. This hotel is a good price and perfectly located in an edgy but not bad part of town (junkies not visible) with all the bars and restaurants you could desire. Good value - my favourite hotel to stay in athens. The higher floors better with less noise and I don't recommend a corner room. Breakfast is cheap but basic.

We stayed at the hotel for a week and were pleased to secure a room with a fantastic location at a lower price. Even though the location looks like a ghetto because of graffiti everywhere, there is always police on the corner of the street next to the hotel, so I felt secure. There are plenty of restaurants and Greek tavernas around the corner that offer delicious food at better prices than in the city centre. The hotel is conveniently located near the city center, within walking distance. The metro station is just a 5-minute walk away, providing easy access to the airport and port. Although the hotel rooms were in need of renovation, our room was clean and comfortable. They even offer hotel toiletries. Breakfast was acceptable, but having the same cheese and ham sandwich every morning for a week became a bit monotonous since no alternatives were offered.

In the breakfast they do not offer hot coffee; instead, they provide hot water and instant coffee powder, which I found odd. The power outlets were only located next to the table, rather than by the bed.

Friendly and helpful staff, good area, safe, good room, value for money, internet worked very well, balcony on the room, private bathroom, simple but great stay, perfect space for 2, cleaning lady came every day very kind and happy, coffee shop right downstairs, close to many resturants, close enough to centre but far enough from busy busy hustle, 10 min easy walk to metro. We had everything we needed and more. Very nice stay.

Refrigorater didnt work well, just the top was cold, it was enough for the bit of food we had. But still worth it, I would go back there.

I love this hotel in the center of Exarchia!! Simple and clean, friendly and cheap!! And with the beautiful view on Licabetto hill!!

Breakfast has improved a lot since last year (it was taken outside, delivered by the nearby kiosk, now it is internal on the first floor) but there is still room for improvement with more choice.

The place is a cult gem, straight out of the 70's-80's, in the middle of the most important area in Athens.

You know what you're getting when you book here. No super lux comfort - the bed is older than your parents, the bath size is smaller than a phone booth, the room door is a sheet of paper lackered to look like wood and the walls are thinner than rice-paper. You have been warned. (Despite all that, the place is as safe as houses).
