A lovely hotel in the center of Athens, brand new, and close to all the restaurants and entertainment venues. The hotel and rooms are beautifully designed, new, clean, and spacious. There is air conditioning and heating. A coffee machine with capsules and a refrigerator are provided. Our room had a small balcony overlooking the street with a seating area. A baby crib is available if needed. The hotel staff is extremely courteous and friendly, ready to assist with any request. They gave us restaurant recommendations and helped us make reservations. The hotel offers a tasty and fresh breakfast. You need to choose from the menu the night before what you'd like for the next morning and at what time. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel and will undoubtedly return.

Nothing. Everything was great.

The breakfast is really good. I liked the pre selection process that they have. There is a list of items and you check some boxes. In the morning everything that you selected will be delivered either to your room, to the outside patio or to the main dining area. Staff was really helpful and the comfort level was awesome. We could reach the main attractions just walking.

It is a bit hard for taxis to reach the hotel. The street is very narrow and there is no big signs of the hotel. Also, some areas around the hotel look a bit strange. We saw some homeless people sleeping in the streets. But we never felt insecure.

Fantastic breakfast, great location, comfortable rooms with a good size table.

Some staff members were exceptionally friendly and even offered extra portions, whereas other staff members seemed to be disinterested, was very restrictive on portions, and wouldn't even unlock the door during daytime after seeing us on multiple days. Potentially an unsafe location, area was kinda dilapidated with tons of graffiti everywhere, except for a handful of newer hotel developments randomly scattered about. Road was tiny, so it was difficult to get taxis to drive to the front steps.

Very convenient location, all historical sites within walking distance. Also many restaurants and bars within 5-10 min walk. Quiet location, although Athens is very, very loud city. Super friendly and polite Staff. Testy breakfasts that you plan yourself on a sheet that reception provides you with, so it's your choice every day. Hotel is very small so you avoid crowds at check-in, breakfasts etc.

It's November on Athens so nights can be pretty cold and there is no heating in the room or bathroom. Worthwhile to be prepared. It's not a hotel issue, it is like that in most of the buildings in Athens.

We had a wonderful stay at this charming little hotel. The location was excellent, making it easy to explore the area by foot. Our room was beautiful decorated, well-equipped and featured a very comfortable bed with excellent pillows. The bathroom was modern and spotless. Breakfast was freshly prepared and served in the cosy lounge, adding to the warm and inviting atmosphere. A special thank you to Georgina, who was incredibly helpful in organizing our amazing trip outside Athens. Het assistance made our experience even more memorable. Highly recommended.

The location was great, very close to Athens city center while not being right in the middle of it all. Walking distance to the Monastiraki train station, the Acropolis, and Plaka. The hotel was clean, beautifully decorated, and quiet. The breakfast was great and the service was wonderful. Our room had good functioning air conditioning, was a good size, and quiet. We had to check in late due to a late arrival, and the staff were accommodating and gave us all of the necessary information for a late check in.

We had such a great stay at Philia Boutique Hotel. All the staff were so polite and helpful, the location was perfect, right in the center of things but the hotel is on a quiet street so no problem with noise at night. The room was super, bed was comfortable, shower was nice and big and always plenty of hot water and the sofa bed was a nice addition and was also really easy to open out and comfy to sleep on. We enjoyed the breakfast, which was more than enough, with a good choice.

Nothing negative to say

A great hotel right in the middle of the old pedestrianised part of Athens with easy walking access to the Acropolis,,museums ,lots of bars ,tavernas and shops as well as the metro and the open top tourist bus. The hotel is very calm, peaceful and clean The rooms are well equipped. The included breakfast was good and you could opt to have it in your room at no extra cost. ,

The rooms aren’t very light as the windows open on to an inner courtyard BUT the plus of this is that the rooms are quiet and cool and as we were out exploring the city most of the day this wasn’t a problem

The room we had was really gorgeous, just like on the photo, very high sealing and specious.

There was a smell in the stairwell and in the room (not in the bathroom) all through the night. Got better in the morning when we opened the windows Wasn’t sure what it was but it was so strong that it bothered me through my sleep. I reported it to the receptionist but she only shrugged. Also the neighborhood was pretty loud a night, groups of people passing by making lots of noise.

I liked the amenities in the room, espresso machine (2 capsulesa),air con, bathroom was spacious, bed was comfy. The breakfast was good in the morning, very good coffee and overall good service. Georgina the manager was great communicating with me regarding transfers to and from the hotel, I was impressed with her attention to detail and prompt response, I didn't get to meet her while staying but wanted to thank her for helping us - it was superb attention. She also recommended an amazing restaurant (Dopios) which we loved. We also arranged to leave our bags at check out which was a great plus so we could head out and visit the acropolis. They are also located 5 minutes walk to the metro station which makes it super easy to reach the airport in 40 minutes (for 9 euros per person).

I was a bit confused by the ordering system for breakfast, it is a bit odd to pre order for the next day and I think this system generates waste as you don't know what the portions are going to be like. The coffee ordering also seems confusing as you get a cappuccino on top of the press coffee but depends how much you drink and so on. The shower had a problem at the top and it leak to the side (which I reported), the aircon remote didn't work but as they close reception at 22pm we couldn't find someone to fix it. We stayed in the double room with patio, which is their entry level room, this room work for us but I think advertising should be double room with shared patio, as this is a shared space within 3 rooms (or more) and I thought the wording was misleading.
