We loved the room, its facilities, the coffee machine (thank you!), the shower, the location (couldn't be better- astonished when finding our way back from the central market to find we were just around the corner! And so close to our favourite bakery- creme royale), the brilliant breakfasts (Greek yoghurt and honey: amazing; and the fruit...), the welcoming and immensely helpful staff.

Not so great on the boxed breakfast the one day we needed it. Could have been a bit better- but we probably should have given more notice. (I've also added a pic of the front as I don't think we would have spotted it without our taxi driver's help)

A lovely stay. First, the hotel itself…..not pretentious but clean, quiet (excellent windows), comfortable room with individual temperature control, fridge, coffee maker etc. A nice place to call home. Location….perfect. Easy walking distance to all major sites (1/2 hour or less), lots of typical local restaurants within 5 minutes and an excellent restaurant steps outside the door (reservations recommended). And then the host/manager. From the moment we walked in the door Georgina was the consummate host. Any request was met with a smile and “yes, I can do that” seemed her go to answer. Arranged rides/taxis were a big help and competitive (or much cheaper). Truly a “boutique hotel” with heart

Our experience with Philia Boutique hotel was nothing short of exceptional! The staff were all amazing (shout out to Georgina and Joy, and all the staff we met) and were always extremely helpful with everything that we needed. My boyfriend and I were touring some of the islands, and there were quite a few times we had to come back to Athens for one night before departing again, and Philia Boutique were always so accommodating, helpful and organized with keeping our luggage stowed while we were away and going above and beyond with their service. The breakfast was one of our favourite parts as well and everything was great quality. The location was great as well, mostly everything being walking distance. Communication with the hotel was always so easy and quick. Our experience was amazing and we would definitely stay here again if we come back to Athens!

The breakfast is really good. I liked the pre selection process that they have. There is a list of items and you check some boxes. In the morning everything that you selected will be delivered either to your room, to the outside patio or to the main dining area. Staff was really helpful and the comfort level was awesome. We could reach the main attractions just walking.

It is a bit hard for taxis to reach the hotel. The street is very narrow and there is no big signs of the hotel. Also, some areas around the hotel look a bit strange. We saw some homeless people sleeping in the streets. But we never felt insecure.

A lovely hotel in the center of Athens, brand new, and close to all the restaurants and entertainment venues. The hotel and rooms are beautifully designed, new, clean, and spacious. There is air conditioning and heating. A coffee machine with capsules and a refrigerator are provided. Our room had a small balcony overlooking the street with a seating area. A baby crib is available if needed. The hotel staff is extremely courteous and friendly, ready to assist with any request. They gave us restaurant recommendations and helped us make reservations. The hotel offers a tasty and fresh breakfast. You need to choose from the menu the night before what you'd like for the next morning and at what time. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel and will undoubtedly return.

Fantastic breakfast, great location, comfortable rooms with a good size table.

Some staff members were exceptionally friendly and even offered extra portions, whereas other staff members seemed to be disinterested, was very restrictive on portions, and wouldn't even unlock the door during daytime after seeing us on multiple days. Potentially an unsafe location, area was kinda dilapidated with tons of graffiti everywhere, except for a handful of newer hotel developments randomly scattered about. Road was tiny, so it was difficult to get taxis to drive to the front steps.

This hotel is in a great location with lots of restaurants and shops close by. The staff was very friendly and helpful with questions about Athens in general, and the immediate neighborhood. The room was very comfortable and clean.

There was not enough hanging and storage space. The big beautiful bathroom did not have enough hooks and racks to hang towels and personal items. The room, or rooms as in our suite, were minimally furnished; an additional side table and coffee table would be welcome, as well as luggage racks.

Very convenient location, all historical sites within walking distance. Also many restaurants and bars within 5-10 min walk. Quiet location, although Athens is very, very loud city. Super friendly and polite Staff. Testy breakfasts that you plan yourself on a sheet that reception provides you with, so it's your choice every day. Hotel is very small so you avoid crowds at check-in, breakfasts etc.

It's November on Athens so nights can be pretty cold and there is no heating in the room or bathroom. Worthwhile to be prepared. It's not a hotel issue, it is like that in most of the buildings in Athens.

We had a wonderful stay at this charming little hotel. The location was excellent, making it easy to explore the area by foot. Our room was beautiful decorated, well-equipped and featured a very comfortable bed with excellent pillows. The bathroom was modern and spotless. Breakfast was freshly prepared and served in the cosy lounge, adding to the warm and inviting atmosphere. A special thank you to Georgina, who was incredibly helpful in organizing our amazing trip outside Athens. Het assistance made our experience even more memorable. Highly recommended.

Great location, friendly staff, delicious and plentiful breakfast that can be served in your room. I had breakfast on the balcony of my room and I enjoyed the experience.

The soundproofing of the room is not very good. The only daylight in my room was through the balcony door, it was a bit gloomy in the room. What is called a work desk is quite small, half of it is occupied by a coffee machine, so I could hardly fit my laptop there. Although the size of the room is not small.
