We had the Calliope apartement of the Troon of Athens house. This is a very nice, clean and beautiful place; very nice wooden floor, good beds and bathroom, nice artwork on the walls, uncommon furniture. Two balconies, very nice to have breakfast with view on Troon Str. But above all: Troon 58 is perfectly situated to explore Athens. Ano Petralona is a quiet yet central neighbourhood. Everything needed is close: very good bakery, organic food shop, supermarket, excellent restaurants are all wirthin a 100m distance. The best view on Athens (besides Lykabettos) is on the Pnyx/Muses/Nymph Hills, just a couple of minutes away. For those not afraid of walking, the main Athens attractions can all be reached by foot, even the National Archaeological Museum (about 40min), and one will always walk through the interesting parts of Athens. Fully recommended.

Very, very incomfortable high chairs on the dining table!

Located in a cute neighbourhood with lots of restaurants and groceries nearby. The apartment was clean, and although it was smaller, the layout was used effectively. The shower was really nice and the decor was cute. We didn’t use the kitchen, but having a fridge and a working AC was nice. The balcony was a nice edition and we ate baclava from a local patisserie on the balcony one night. It’s located close to the metro which allowed for easy movement throughout the city. We felt safe with the double locking system.

The beds were not the comfiest but they were suitable for two nights. There were only a few other people staying there so it didn’t cause too much of an issue, but the one time people were walking through the hallway it was very loud in our apartment.

The place was perfect! The room might look a bit small at the first glimpse, but everything was great and enough. You have a small kitchen with various of kitchen equipments. Sofa was very comfortable to sleep (my sister slept on it), but most importantly the location. Oh my god guys, the neighbourhood was SOOO good. You can reach to great bars, restaurants and markets in a minute and just a 12-13 min. to walk you are at the heart of Athens. We stayed there 2 nights and it wasn't enough. Will come to Athens again and surely will stay at this place again!

It was a really lovely apartment nearby the petralona metro station 25min walking from monastiraki. The apartment was quit small but had everything inside it was very very clean and tidy, the bed and the mattress were really comfortable 🙂 We highly recommend this place for your stay in Athens if you want to be near the city center but away from the noise..!

If you are the kind of person who can not sleep with a light on you will find a hard time sleeping the kitchen window and the emergency exit sign light the room very much during the night, but if you don’t mind about lights this apartment is perfect.

This was my second time staying in the Troon apartments. I love the Petralona neighborhood, there are wonderful, intimate restaurants, bars and cafes right outside, it is an easy and beautiful walk to the Thissio metro station, a very authentic neighborhood vibe without being touristy. I also love the small Organic/Natural foods grocery store across the street. Every time I come to Athens, I always look first to stay here! The host is incredible, extremely kind, helpful and welcoming and arranged very well priced airport transfers (45 euros!) from Athens airport to the property - going above and beyond! If you are into an authentic Athens experience in a central, but not touristy neighborhood, I recommend getting to know Petralona and staying in the Troon apartments.

The location from the main parts of Athens was great and I loved all of the cute cafes and restaurants that were within walking vicinity from the actual apartment. Kleio was also an exceptional communicator and was very helpful in her suggestions, recommendations and also organizing transport from Lavrio to Athens.

Nothing - all was good and the check in process and checkout process was very easy to arrange.

we felt like at home, the apartament is perfect for a couple if you are staying during a week in Athens, you have everything around, bars, restaurants, supermarket. it’s a very local neighborhood and at the same time, a 20 min walking distance from the city center, 5 min distance from a big park and 5 min walking distance from the metro station. The administration of the building was super kind and helped us with a lot of great tips.

The only downside is the sound isolation. You can hear people coming in and out of the building and speaking on the hallway. Also if there’s someone talking just in front of the building. The street is calm, so it wasn’t an issue for us.

We rented the apt with a sofa and stairs to go to the room. I really liked the organization: in the confirmation email, we had the different codes (door of the building + room) and also the wifi password, which can be very useful if you have any issues outside the building and your phone does not have internet - at least you can connect to the wifi and contact the owner! Inside, there was a short document with the information we needed. The apt of 30m2 was spacious. The kitchen had what one needs and there is a minimarket next door (he does not speak English but he knows what his public wants: he showed us where the pasta and tomato salsa were!). Everything was clean. The location is excellent - there is a park next to it that leads to the Acropolis so it's like 20min walking. Metro station is not very far so it's easy to arrive from the airport or the port. The neighborhood feels totally safe. In case you want to rent a car, it's possible to park on the street BUT be prepared to search one spot + streets are very narrow, but we did it as we wanted to leave early the next day. Internet worked great in the kitchen/sofa area but not downstairs in the bedroom. The shower was good, very hot water, and there was a hairdryer.

Nothing bad but just a few extras: for the kitchen, it would be nice to have a draining rack. Also, a towel rack would be appreciated to leave the towels during the day as they don't change them. Finally, I would recommend to add the "no paper in the bathroom" directly in the bathroom as we can easily forget this rule!

The hosts are wonderful and worked hard for us. They organized transportation from the airport, gave us great suggestions for restaurants, public transport... They always answered our questions quickly. The location is great, close to the center and yet the neighborhood is peaceful and quiet. The apartment is very beautiful and very practical. I enjoyed my morning coffee on the terrace. I would definitely come again.
