I stayed at Porto Platanias Beach Luxury Selection - Adults Only in Crete, and it was a truly memorable experience. The hotel’s adults-only policy created a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, perfect for unwinding. The breakfast was excellent and varied, and the nearby sea added a magical touch to the stay. The staff were kind and very helpful, making the experience feel warm and welcoming. The location was ideal—just steps away from a lively street full of restaurants, cafés, and shops, offering a great taste of local life. It was a wonderful stay, and I’d love to return someday.

A Wonderful Stay at Porto Platanias Beach Luxury We had an amazing stay at Porto Platanias Beach Luxury! One of the absolute highlights was the location – centrally situated, which made it incredibly easy for us to go on day trips and explore the beautiful island of Crete. What truly stood out, however, was the service. The staff were not only professional and helpful, but genuinely passionate about delivering excellent hospitality. You could really feel that they cared and always went the extra mile to ensure we had the best possible experience during our stay. The breakfast buffet was another highlight – fresh, varied, and delicious every morning. We also really appreciated having access to both the pool and the beach, offering the best of both worlds when it came to relaxation. All in all, a fantastic stay that we would gladly recommend and hope to return to!

Every morning we were greeted with a rich and beautifully presented breakfast buffet featuring fresh local ingredients, healthy options, and delicious Cretan specialties. What really sets this hotel apart is the exceptional service. Every staff member —from reception to housekeeping to the restaurant team (specially Georgia) was genuinely kind, professional, and eager to ensure our stay was perfect. We felt truly welcomed. Everything was more than perfect

We had a great time, really enjoyed the heated pools and the beach. The breakfast was extremely varied and tasty. The room had plenty of space and a nice balcony where we could spend our evenings on. Very easy to use bus service to get into town, the station is 2 min away from hotel.

They gave us a free room upgrade which put us without a sea view which we paid for, they did swap us back to a room with sea view, however we overheard the same situation happening with another guest couple and they had full capacity so couldn't swap them back straight away.

Great hotel, in a lovely location. Short taxi to the stunning Chania and within walking distance of some excellent restaurants. Would recommend the walk up the hill to Old Town Platanias for the best food and views. Hotel was clean, modern and the staff were excellent. Always sun beds available at the pool, without any of the putting towels down to reserve beds nonsense.

It would have been nice to have fresh juice at breakfast rather than concentrate out of a machine, but aside from that there was a good selection.

Absolutely incredible! Best hotel breakfast in my life and fantastic service. The bar, restaurant as well as the ambience and view from both were impeccable and felt like we were staying at the White Lotus. Definitely staying again!!

Honestly, no complaints – wish we could’ve stayed one more day for Mexican Night at the restaurant & wish the Greek ice cream options at breakfast were available later in the day. Wait staff were incredibly polite & helpful & we saw the manager diligently helping guests and employees alike. Superb!

Really lovely hotel. It's part of 3 different types of hotel owned by the same brand. This is the adult only hotel. So quiet, with very clean and has well planned facilities. Breakfast is excellent. Service excellent too. Lovely day and evening bar space for a calm chilled time. The restaurant manager was really lovely (although looked a bit serious at first) and the bar tender (Kasia?) was lovely, made great drinks and was very friendly / professional too. Reception staff always helpful. Gym was nice and we used it daily and pools a not too crowded option (early July). Bus stop to Chania is a 5 minute walk and a 20-25 minute journey so the hotel is well positioned. Also good for nearby car hire and a couple of the island's most famous beaches. Local restaurants are also very good. Plenty of choice with a short walk. Sunsets are stunning!

Overall very good with a few tiny things to improve. But it's quite new so no doubt will improve small points like perhaps sweeping clean and tidying / raking the sand around the hotel's beach loungers. Still clean and nice enough. Just a 10/10 point for an 8/10 thing. The restaurant in the evening is a little quiet with a limited menu. It's nice enough though especially on an arrival day or if weary.

The hotel was perfectly situated off the main road, with access to a nearby direct bus and taxi services, as well as private parking for hotel guests with rental cars. The breakfast buffet was well organised and laid out, with a variety of food options to suit everyone's tastes - the fresh fruit really stood out for its freshness and flavour! All of the staff were so helpful and knowledgeable for any of the queries that we had, and definitely went above and beyond to make us comfortable and content.

We liked the location and the fact that it is an adults only hotel. We appreciated it was quiet. The receptionist was very nice and helpful.

The beach is a dissappontment. Very small with crowded sunbeds and a rocky entrance into the sea. The hotel is not at the 5 star level, it s really a 4 star. The room was on the ground floor and we could not air it properly because the only way to do that was to keep the balcony door open all times and we could practically feel like we are in the patio. Inside the room, in the bathroom there is only one hanger, not anough for the towels used by 2 people.

We had the beach view at the cheapest price we could get, which was really nice but a little small, but very little time should be spent in the room anyway.

My only complaint was they let people walk through their section of the beach that are selling nothing of value, like foot massages, one even started touching me while my eyes were closed, and I saw maybe three try and talk to the same lady in ten minutes, one didn’t really take no for an answer either. This would have been expected at a normal beach , but I spent a rather large sum of money to get a hotel with its section of beach and still got touched by creepy feet people.
