A Fantastic Stay at Marika Hotel in Platanias! We lived in Beachcomber nr 2. We had a wonderful stay at Marika Hotel and can wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for the perfect vacation experience. The hotel exceeded all our expectations - from the wide and varied selection of restaurants, where every meal was a delight, to the incredibly comfortable bed. Perfect with your pwn parking space and the staff was fantastic in every way! Helping us with everything we needed. The bathroom and shower, wow! One of the absolute highlights was the beautiful terrace with the small whirl pool. We spent countless relaxing hours there, enjoying breathtaking sunsets and, later at night, lying under the stars in complete peace listening to the sea. The atmosphere was magical, and those moments will stay with us forever. A special thank you to staff Maria Tziaki and Mavredaki Katerina who made our stay very magical! They were very friendly and helped out whenever we needed.

More space for clothes like an extra closet would have been great.

Marika Hotel is truly a marvelous place to stay. From the moment we arrived, everything felt beautifully arranged and thoughtfully designed. Our suite, facing the sea, offered an unforgettable view—especially with the jacuzzi positioned right in front of us. Sitting there, overlooking the waves, was simply magical. The hotel’s location is also perfect—just a short distance from Chania’s enchanting old town and easily accessible from many directions. But what truly makes Marika Hotel stand out is its incredible staff. They are the true gems of this place. Maria, the manager, is an exceptional person. She went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful stay. Despite a small conflict, she did everything possible to make our experience pleasant, and I am deeply grateful for all the care and attention she gave us. Her kindness and professionalism made a lasting impression. Katerina, another wonderful member of the team, was also always helpful, warm, and attentive. In fact, it was the staff who turned our trip into such a memorable and beautiful experience. I cannot thank Maria enough for all that she did, and without a doubt, I will be returning to Marika Hotel. For me, it is the most beautiful hotel in all of Chania.

Location was excellent in Platania with nice restaurants, convenient stores and arcade games. Right on the beach and their restaurants were great as well with great food selection. The rooms were clean and liked the room with the jacuzzi.

Some of the staff seemed to have an attitude towards their Greek customers. Lack of gym/work out space. The shower water was either cold or scorching hot, nothing in between. The wifi signal was weak and only working at the pool area and restaurant and never worked while in the room.

We returned from staying in the Marika hotel last week. Firstly it lovely and clean. The staff are very polite and helpful. The rooms are modern and spacious. Its in an excellent location on the seafront & also surrounded by restaurants, shops, doctors, car hires, bus stops etc! We had bed and breakfast and the breakfast buffet had a good variety including cereals, breads, eggs, meat, fruits, spreads, cakes. Not as lavish as other hotel breakfasts but there was something for everyone and it was nice to have something to set us up for the day.

The rooms are clean and modern however we stayed in an apartment (room 80) & the glass door on the toilet was not full size so it didn’t feel private and the sink was on the outside. Bit if a bizarre setup! However we had family stay in a sea view deluxe room and a hottub room, both of which had normal private bathrooms so must only be in the apartments.

Very good new air conditioning. - Excellent location of the hotel - close to shops and restaurants. - Very nice swimming pool. - Very good Waves and Cugini restaurants - Staff and food was amazing

- I would cover hot meals to keep them from cooling down so quickly - especially sausages and scrambled eggs. - swimming pool table could be clean more often - i think that swiming pool could be clean more often

Hotel was very comfortable and location was superb. Beach and city both right next to you! Easy access to all restaurants and shopping plus all tour operators and excursions. Our room was on top floor so it was quiet and ac was a must! First floor rooms did not seem to have much privacy although some had private jacuzzi. I would prefer upper floor rooms for more quiet stay!

Beds were separated and kept sliding apart in the night. Toilet had a glass wall which was fine for us but might be very uncomfortable for some. Also door did not close properly. If either went to toilet in the night and turned on the light in toilet, the whole room was light due to glass wall. Not very convenient!

It’s very clean and environmentally friendly, with beautiful, spacious rooms and two beautiful pools. The view out onto the sea is gorgeous and the staff were so lovely. The breakfast has a lot of variety so you don’t have to eat the same thing every day, and the dinner selection at Waves is lovely.

The pool is very cold (although, it was April so it may be warmer in the summer).

The hotel is very comfortable, the location is excellent especially if you have a car its very easy to move around. The breakfast is great!

We got a room with a jacuzzi, the jacuzzi was cold and there’s barely a separation from you and your neighbor in the balcony, so we never used. Also, first floor the ppl passing by can see into your balcony which made it a bit awkward to hang out.

Everything was perfect. The location of the hotel, near the beach and many many restaurants and shops. The hotel has 2 restaurants and a bar, all with great food and drinks. Cleaning is made daily and the towels and bedsheets changed about every 2 Days. We stayed in a Room with jacuzzi and was nice, but it is not heated and the balcony gets much shade so the water was kinda cold, so keep this in mind. The room has a small kitchenette which was handy. The hotel has 2 small pools but we didn’t use them. The sunbeds by the pool are free and the ones from the beach are 7 euros for 2 sunbeds and an umbrella. We apreciated that we found in our Room some chocolates and a bottle of wine

Maybe the breakfast could be changed a little bit more during the week. We stayed one week and we got bored with the same food every day. But it was really good

The hotel is excellent. Clean, the staff is very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed eating at the waves restaurant, the food was really good, we liked the fish of the day and the pork chop the best. It's a really peaceful accommodation, the breakfast on the terrace is magical with the view. It was our second time here and we would like to come back in the future. Thank you for everything ❤️
