Lovely very big antique style room with big windows with old shutters. Breakfast is good, is in the cafe attached and is all day. Parking was OK. It's just the same as for all the other hotels. You try to get into the port and if not, find somewhere in the new town to the east. Be careful not to park in the place where they set up a big morning market. It operates on Saturdays and I think Wednesdays according to the sign but also on holidays such as at Easter. Unless you want a holiday anecdote.......

Bathroom was dated, older than the room, and small. A small wet room. The bathrooms in Greece are not always brilliant but this stood out for me as small (but I am large!)

The pension is full of character and is beautifully decorated. It’s not new and really feels part of the old town’s history. The Kalimera breakfast is fantastic.

Note two things: There is a popular bar right across from the pension. We were there Easter weekend and the party went on until 3am. Our host did provide us with earplugs. The other thing is that each apartment/room doesn’t have its own hot water and you might need to take that into consideration. It wasn’t a big problem for us though!

The room is just amazing! It is in an old building and designed in a vintage style, allowing you to feel the city's atmosphere perfectly. Its large area and high ceilings make living very comfortable. The room was cleaned every day, and the cleaning was done very well. Besides basic things, the room also contains many essential pieces of equipment for cosy vacation stays, like a spacious fridge, a multifunctional air conditioner, an iron and an ironing board, a clothes rack dryer, additional pillows, etc. The staff is amiable, courteous and ready to satisfy any requests. There is also a good wifi connection. Breakfast is provided by the cafe in the same building - it is delicious and complete, but the selection of dishes is small, so it can get boring during an extended stay. At the same time, breakfast is available from 8.00 to 14.00, which is very comfortable if you like to spend time at the beach in the morning.

The hotel has almost no disadvantages except one - it is located in the centre of Nafplio's nightlife, so the area is very noisy. It was acceptable for us, but if you like to go to bed early and not interrupt your sleep, you should look for other options. Also, it would not hurt to update the plumbing in the room and destroy a mold in the shower

Our stay in Nafplio was just wonderfull. The apartment was pretty big, and they were cleaninig it every day. Location is also great since it's in the city center and if you are travelling by car there is a large parking nearby. Also the tavern below the apartment where we had breakfast is really great and you get a discount on breakfast if you are staying in this apartment. I especially want to praise Evia, our host, who is truly phenomenal. She waited for us upon arrival, instructed us in all the details we need to know. On the second day, we had a problem with our car, and Evia was ultra responsive and helped us, found the mechanic so that the problem was solved in no time. Definitely deserves a raise! :)

Amazing Stay at Althaia Pension in Nafplio! My stay at Althaia Pension was absolutely amazing. The room was cozy, spotless, and tastefully decorated—everything you need for a comfortable visit. The location couldn't be better: perfectly situated in a vibrant and charming area, with shops, cafes, and historic sites just steps away. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it a truly memorable experience. I would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Nafplio!

The suites were located in a renovated older building right in the heart of beautiful Nafplio. The room we stayed in was very spacious with an old-type bed that was very, very comfortable to sleep in. WiFi worked great as did the air conditioning. Maids were thorough every day. It was really great to stay in a place that had real character instead of a new built structure, especially since there is so much history and charm in Nafplio. Very charming indeed. And the host was really kind and helpful. The stairs up to the suite were unusual - a real trip in fact. Recommended. (The people of Nafplio are so nice.)

The suite overlooked what amounts to the main pedestrian thoroughfare in Nafplio and is adjacent to a bar that stays open pretty late and plays music sometimes a bit too loudly. But if you bring your sleep mask and ear plugs, you'll be fine. And it's worth it to stay at the Pension.

Really good location in the old town. We booked the triple room to get a balcony, it’s a nice place to sit with a G&T or a beer and watch the people below. The breakfast is good and for €2 each can be upgraded. On our second day we took the breakfast as a takeout and it was equally good in a bag. Good staff as well.

Because it’s in old town there is a problem with parking, but we dropped off near the pension and parked in the port for free. So not really a problem but be aware.

The room was really beautiful, spacious, and cosy and the service was excellent. Good location with lots of shops and restaurants nearby.

The shower was acting up sometimes, either getting too cold or too hot. The sound proofing of the room was inadequate, which is expected for a historic building, but there was a lot of noise from the street outside. At night it was fine, but during the summer season it might be more problematic.

Our host Evie was wonderful. Provided some bottled water upon arrival as tap water in Nafplio is not safe to drink. Kettle with coffee and teas in the room, and our room was cleaned and made daily (without needing to request services). Great location close to the port for free parking.

My husband is 6’2 and he was too long for the bed so he couldn’t sleep with his legs stretched out. LOTS of stairs to the top where we stayed. LOTS. Pack lightly.

Great location right in the heart of old town, good sized rooms with kitchenette if you needed to make breakfast etc. Lady was very nice and have pointers about our stay. Note no lift at property only stairs

Shower was awkward water coming out everywhere, Needs a proper shower head and maybe a curtain, as the floor and mat always got wet. Odd smell in bathroom also Lots of street noise from below cafe / bar
