This is a world class hotel in the heart of old town Nafplio. It’s a late 17th century building recently renovated yet preserving the old traditional charm. Exceptionally well done. Anasathios and his staff were incredible in their hospitality and service—just outstanding kindness shown to my family of six. The rooms (we had two) were beautifully appointed) and the breakfasts wonderful. They happily accommodated a late change in our reservations, helped with luggage, parking and local knowledge that made this two night stay one of our very best in several trips to Greece! Thank you for your wonderful hospitality!

Loved the location, beauty and history of this gem of a hotel. The staff lead by Marina, Elena, Eleni, Youla and everyone here made our stay incredible. The room, clean, spacious, newly renovated bathroom with a large balcony on 2nd floor. Friendly and helpful in every way, the staff made our week here very special. Breakfast was incredible also with many home made offerings like spanakopita and a great range. Thank you for an amazing experience, this is a must stay for anyone visiting Nafplio!

We had a lovely stay here. The rooms are fairly small, but fresh and pretty, and one of our two rooms had a lovely view and a small balcony, which was a highlight. We also had an economy twin room for our teens, as they wanted separate beds, and that room, without a view, was less appealing, but a very good deal. The hotel is in a very good location in the old town, as long as you don’t mind steps! If I were to do it over I would have gotten the quad rooms for our family so we all could have enjoyed the views and balcony.

Our room at the Grand Sarai was very nice, and we especially liked the updated bathroom. We also found the hotel to be clean and the reception staff very kind.

Unfortunately, the breakfast was disappointing. It wasn't the exceptional spread we had anticipated. What made it worse was that the staff member spent most of the time on her phone. Rather than welcoming guests, clearing tables, or offering to serve coffee or fresh orange juice, she was disengaged, which negatively impacted the overall breakfast experience.

The staff and owner went above and beyond to accommodate my requests from a late breakfast in my room to helping me work out a car rental with his friend in town. The hotel is super charming and in the best, most walkable location in Nafplio. I would highly recommend it for its ease, charm, and personality! I would stay again.

I liked everything about it - it is so convenient has a great continental breakfast, and updated rooms with power showers. There is nothing to dislike for a room in Greece

Wonderful hotel. Lovely room - we were in 303 with a balcony and fantastic view over the town and bay. Great breakfast and friendly helpful staff. This is a beautiful old building with character and charm. We loved it. We are retired and we don’t find the walk up a problem at all. It is flat from the street near the fire station where we parked into the last part where there are steps up to the hotel. As a bonus the Air conditioning quietest we have had.

Bathroom a little small but nit picking

This family run hotel is an absolute gem in Nafplio. Our room was spotless, the yummy breakfast was just right with something for everyone, and the service was fantastic! The owners went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and even helped us with our luggage up and down some steep steps when they could see we needed help! Tell me who does that anymore in America??? Just be prepared it’s a little tricky to find the hotel. Once you are at the intersection of 25is Martiou & Andrea Siggrou (small ruins with an eroding lion on top of an arch) go a little further up Andrea Siggrou. It looks like it dead ends, but there’s a tiny, almost invisible side street before that on the right side called Papanikolaou. Take that to the square next to the hotel.

Everything about this hotel is wonderful. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room was the biggest gem of all, it was big, beautifully decorated with views of both the castle and the sea and included a little balcony on which we relaxed in the evening. The hotel is located in the old town so it's close to all the shops and restaurants and is just a short walk from the sea. The one thing to bear in mind is that if you come with a car you'll have to find parking at the entrance of the old town as the old town doesn't really have parking. I could not recommend this place enough! We will be staying there again for sure.

Impeccable quality. The staff is amazing—very kind, courteous, helpful, friendly and supportive. This is a beautiful, world class, charming hotel at an amazing value! The owner personally assisted our entire family of six with luggage, parking, directions and room accommodations. Very kind and concerned.

Boutique family run property. We stayed in a room with queen bed, sofa without a balcony but the room with the balcony was as good. Similar size. Bath room was very nice. Good flow. Their breakfast was amazing. Staff was very prompt and addressed anything we needed

Nothing. The parking may be a bit far for those who can’t walk a lot. Minimum 4 min walk to drop off spot.
