convenient location, great breakfast

my room was ok for a short stay, but was small & I was disturbed by late arrivals to the room next door as the entrances to the two rooms were very close & floors being a hard surface really amplified any noise in the corridor outside. These two rooms would really work better as a family suite rather than as independent rooms. A transfer from the port would have been helpful. It isn’t very far to walk, but, factoring in the heat and luggage, I took a taxi, which was pricey for such a short journey.

A wonderful hotel! The owner, George, and all the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. On our last day, even though we missed breakfast hours, they generously prepared and served us two full plates — such thoughtful hospitality! The location is perfect, just a short walk from both the beach and the town center. It’s especially ideal for those not planning to rent a car. They kindly upgraded our room free of charge and gave us the best one available. The view from our terrace, the balcony, the interior design, and the cleanliness — everything was just perfect. This property was absolutely beautiful. It was within probably 200 m of the beach and the rooms had gorgeous views. Every morning we had a phenomenal breakfast. I lovely seating area outside where we could enjoy our breakfast every morning. So many different choices of pastries, fruits, yogurt, tea, and coffee, and all the usual breakfast items. The hotel is within walking distance to the town and in such a perfect location. We were out of the very crowded area of Naxos, but still close enough to enjoy some of the crowds when we wanted to be in the thick of things. George and his brother were amazing hosts. George went out of his way to accommodate us when we needed a room because our ferry was leaving late on or last day. Thank you George! Truly a beautiful hotel. You will not be disappointed in any way!

This is a beautiful modern hotel. It is a family business and they take pride in it. Upon check in they sit down with you and go over some highlights of the island and places they recommend. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious; bathroom has plenty of products and breakfast is beyond yummy. There is a selection of homemade jams, spreads etc that you can make an entire meal from; I’m dreaming of them. It is also on the block leading down to the water. St. George’s beach is a minutes walk away.

We loved our stay at Hotel Galini! I had spent hours finding the right hotel that my daughter would approve of and she instantly fell in love with the online photos and I fell in love with the idea of a homemade Greek breakfast. Galini, George, wife and Anna and chef exceeded our expectations. George, as the VP of Hotels in Naxos Association, especially wants to use all local produce. He shared his love for making lots of different marmalades and how carefully he selected the best local produce with care. Our room looked exactly like the pictures online, as did the rest of the property. It was close to the beach and a row of restaurants and also close enough to walk into town (chora). It was just behind Nassiki Hotel. We can’t wait to come back and stay at Hotel Galini again. We both loved it.

We loved every minute of it! The hosts were so nice and knowledgable about the best places to visit on Naxos as well as the best places to eat everywhere! They made our stay so special in every way possible! The room was beautiful, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was all homemade pastries and local produce, exceeding expectations in all forms. Alisa was amazing!!! She cooks everything fresh every morning and makes sure everyone is happy and well taken care off! We will definitely come back here! Also I would like to add it’s a central location, walking distance from the Port and the downtown of Chora! Overall impressed with everything!

The hotel is in a great location. It is close to downtown, while it also has a beach at 100 meters. There are several good restaurants by that beach, without the crazy touristy atmosphere of the port area. The owners are two brothers who are there 24/7 and are always trying to make things work perfectly. They named the hotel after their mother. They are all the time striving to make things good for the guests. Breakfast is great, with lots of very tasty Greek food cooked in the hotel. It is served in a balcony with nice breeze (it is also nice to sit there during the afternoon). During the day you can see the staff cooking, including the wife of the elder brother peeling vegetables one by one. Everything is immaculately clean. The rooms are very good, with a very nice balcony.

I had a wonderful experience at this place. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was amazing. It’s a family-run business, and the staff are genuinely helpful, kind, and welcoming. They explained everything clearly and made sure we felt comfortable right away. You can really tell they care about their guests and know how to run their business properly. The room was spotlessly clean, beautifully renovated, and designed with care. Every detail felt fresh, modern, and thoughtfully arranged. It was one of those places where you walk in and immediately feel calm, relaxed, and at home. The location was also perfect — quiet, but still very close to everything you need. Whether you’re looking to explore or just unwind, this place is ideal. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone. It’s rare to find a place that feels both professional and personal — they’ve truly created something special.

We had a fantastic 3 night stay at the Galini Hotel. We arrived by early ferry and on arrival we were offered breakfast. The breakfast was the best on our trip so far, such a selection of homemade goods. We received an upgrade on our room, which was modern and comfortable, including a bottle of wine and water. The owner gave a good introduction of the island, where to visit and places to eat. Assisted with organising car hire at a good rate. Location is good, close to the beach, short walk to the port, restaurants and shops. Naxos Chora is a wondetful place with a labyrinth of alley ways. Leaving the town, there are many traditional villages and stunning views to be seen. Sorry our stay was so short, definitely a place to return too, thanks for the warm friendly welcome.

The welcome from our host was first class. Immediately, we were made to feel at home and communication and guidance from our hosts was excellent. This continued for the duration of our stay. The breakfasts were OUTSTANDING!! Home cooking and choices of a range of local dishes made breakfast a feast. Any inquiry was received and handled with aplomb. Great hosts! Our room was perfectly clean and fresh. The balcony provided room to sit outside for a while - and to air washing. Walking distance to everything. Quiet. Relaxed. Safe. Just great!

Apart from the fact that it was a tight squeeze to fit two suitcases in our room, we THOROUGHLY enjoyed our stay at Galini. Very highly recommended.
