Hotel was nice and clean, also staff was very friendly, especially Desmina. Bar offers food as well, which is good if you do not want to go out. The shore was very good

We requested quite room, beause of our baby and daughter, and also 3 apartman next to each other since we travelled with family. None of them was completed. Bar was too close and noisy, and the three apartman was not next to each other . We changed room to be a quite place. Apartman was not equipped well, first room had no microwave, washing liquid even washing sponge was missing.So we had to buy. A little coffe maker would have been also handy. Neigbourhood is awful. Very poor, loth of rubbish everywhere, Dogs were tied on leash all day, very loud trucks and motorbikes , you do not want to take a walk there especially with children.

Nice room full of light with decent view on the swimming pool and mountains on the other side. Great swimming pool with bar and friendly personnel, creating home atmosphere.

Beds could have been less soft and the dining table didin't have that much room around for chairs, but these are just details. The hotel location is about 600-700 m to the beach and the way is not particularly nice, but the hotel is still great value overall.

It was very clean and had everything we needed. The balcony was a good size and the location was perfect. The pool was lovely and clean and the bar prices were very reasonable. As were the limited items in the small convenience shop inside the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Close to bus stops, shops, tavernas and the beach. The wifi was really good. The hotel was close to lidl and other big supermarkets that where also very reasonably priced.

There was nothing we didn't like. We would happily stay again. If I was being really picky we could have done with an Iron and possibly a toastie maker or toaster. These are nice extras though and not necessarily important to everyone.

The owners and all of the workers couldn't make you feel more welcome. A relaxed hotel with everything you could need comfortable, short walk to beech and shops. Had a fantastic time and will definitely be going back!

The Apollon is a small family run hotel. The hotel is in a resort just outside Rethymno and is not too busy but with enough to make it interesting and give plenty of choices. The apartments in the hotel are spacious and of a high quality with an outdoor seating area. The kitchen area has everything you need to make light snacks and drinks. Everywhere is very clean and serviced regularly. The pool is just perfect to swim or relax in. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed sitting outside in the sunshine for our breakfast every morning with a choice of cooked eggs and fresh cold meat, cheese, fruit, yogurt, cereal, juice etc. The Apollon is close enough to the main shopping/restaurant area but far away enough to be peaceful. Just follow the signs for a short walk (approx. 8-10 minutes) to the beach. The whole area has a good choice of restaurants, all reasonably priced. The bus route is easily accessible and there are always taxis available close to the main street. Everyone we met was very friendly and welcoming. There are plenty of shops advertising excursions and activities. We enjoyed two excellent trips by coach from the Klados Panagiotis company and they were interesting, informative and excellent value for money, enabling us to see more of beautiful Crete without hiring a car.

Well laid out apartments surrounding a good size pool. The studio apartment we had was ideal for 2 people and well equipt. The staff were friendly and helpful. There are a few restaurants quite close but the main part of Plantanes is about a 10 minute walk. The main centre of Rethymno is about 3 miles away. Plenty buses at 1.20 euros or taxi at 10 euros.

Superb helpful staff. 15 min walk to the restaurants, 20 to the beach, 5 to the bus stop.

No 5G signal, almost no WLAN signal either. Pool water quite murky all the time (due to people not taking a shower probably). Our room was in the semibasement and really hot. AC was extra codt; well, it was only 40C during day and 32C during night, not everyone wants it right..? Oh and it is a package tour hotel.

This is a great value property with a lovely pool and pool area and bar! We found lots of friendly people staying, a lot of Brits. We had a car so was easy to get around although not essential. Close to shops and restaurants. We stayed for 2 nights after getting into heraklion port in the evening and then heading off to Chania. We both agreed we would have happily stayed longer.

One of the beds, the mattress was showing its age. But still ok after putting a blanket underneath. The overall property was good value though and would recommend.

We enjoyed the stay sooo much. Reception personal was very helpfull and friendly. We liked the location, the pool was awesome. The beach and see was perfect by Réthimno - Margaritari restaurant.

Very relaxed atmosphere, friendly and unobtrusive staff. Rooms are clean and spacious, very nice pool. The kitchen is quite decent for basic meal preparation. Supermarket is We will come again 🙂
