We had a very nice decadent stay there! The room was amazing and the proximity to the beach was unmatched. The location is about a 10min walk from the Rethymno old town, which was great for us. The private beach was very nice! The balcony with a view of the beach was incredible.

It was quite loud, because the hotel is right next to the road. Ear plugs are advised. The breakfast was ok, nothing great. We ended up drinking coffee elsewhere. And we were told we could only use the sunbeds of the Birais Private Beach if we also ordered drinks, that was slightly annoying.

Oh Birais and team, you have my heart. I love this place, people and location so much that I keep booking twice a year. 30 seconds away from the beach front, nice promenade, great cafes and restaurants and incredible shopping around. They have their family owned restaurant right there and it's the best place to be for your Greek cuisine. The staff is beyond incredible, accommodating and homey.

Everything was perfect.

Perfect location, best part of beach with best access to town. Very friendly staff. Very clean room and well kept. Usable safe. reasonably comfy bed - be aware of good air-con (will be cold if setting low).

Bad smell in lift and bathroom on most days (seriously bad on one day). No privacy on balcony. Small room and tiny TV (if you're bothered?).

All staff member were so nice to us, we felt like a part of a big, calm family. We could see every morning the sea from our window and from the breakfast place, it was wonderful start of our days. The cleanliness was 10/10, they cleaned neatly every day. We loved it and looking forward to go back one day.

There wasn’t really wi-fi in our place, we used our internet.

The most important thing in the apartment is the staff and management. Nice apartment in front of the beach, with a balcony to the sea. The hotel staff made every effort to ensure that we enjoyed our vacation. The hotel is run by a nice family. Big brother KOSTAS is the hotel manager. His sister TULA is responsible for the restaurant and the staff and is mainly the reason for our pleasant stay there. She even took care of us for beach towels, which we didn't bring with us. The younger brother PANDELIS is responsible for the maintenance at the hotel and helped us a lot. The breakfast served from 8 - 10 is varied and delicious. They cleaned and arranged our room every day and we felt part of the family. Highly recommended.

There is a problem with the internet But when we connect to the Internet of the beach And that solved the problem.

The employees were friendly and exceedingly accommodating, surpassing expectations in every way. The breathtaking vistas of The Old Town and the beach from the balcony were amazing. Location is perfect for strolling into The Old Town and the beach is across the road. The dwelling was essentially a residence that could effortlessly accommodate six individuals.Double glazed windows and doors with the addition of shutters provided excellent sound proofing. Air conditioners in every room and daily cleaning was a bonus. You will not be disappointed with your stay. Highly recommend the Taverna downstairs for your meals.

A superb location, with a splendid view! We couldn't have found a better location. The food of the restaurat was great! I want to thank the staff at Birais for everything, always kind and attentive. Special thanks to Alex and Yanis who made our vacation wonderful! We just got home and we already miss you!

The location is very good - near the beach and the city center. Breakfast was simple, but really good quality food - fresh orange juice, good coffee. We had also lunch and dinner in the restaurant and enjoyed it very much. The hotel and restaurant staff are especially kind. Rooms are newly renovated.

The accommodation offers and amazing view of the sea, which is conveniently situated just 50m from the entrance. The staff is lovely and exhibits freat felixibility with all guest requests. Highly reccommend!

Our room was a bit noisy. The equipments could be a bit more modern (e.g TV, air conditioner). The bathroom is a bit small.

The hotel is a small family business that has been around for many years. The hotel has been partially renovated on the upper floors where we received an upgrade. The hotel owner (and also the all the staff) are very friendly and helpful! The beach in front offer sun bads with umbrellas at no extra cost if you have a drink!

If you know Rethymno, please don't complain about on street noise, that is price of the location. The breakfast can become monotonous after several days of stay, but it is satisfactory.
