We stayed for two nights in a Deluxe Double Room with a side sea view, It was a large, well equipped, room with a very good view of the sea (side sea view is too modest a description). The staff were helpful and breakfast was good - Maia's "fried eggs" were imaginatively served and delicious! The hotel is well placed for walking to the Old Town. There are plenty of restaurants nearby and those surrounding the Venetian Harbour are a 10 minute stroll away. There is a large car park across the road from the hotel.

The hotel is perfectly located less than 5 minutes walk from both the beach and the old town. It is also on the waterfront so you have a plethora of restaurants, bars and cafes to pick from for eating. The hotel provided breakfast that was fantastic. One cooked egg meal if you choose and a buffet of various greek/Cretan foods. Also fresh cakes, pies and pastries. Coffee on tap. In our room there was a Nespresso machine with some pods as well as teas. They restocked the water in the fridge every day. Our balcony had a great view of the harbour and we could see the Venetian fortress and old town minaret which was fantastic at sunset. The AC was very good and made our room a great respite from the very hot days in August. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, in particular Dimitrious who first greeted us and offered us a drink when we first arrived and we saw a couple more times throughout our holiday. They had lots of information and was always interested to hear how our day was. The reception also had towels to offer for going to the beach. We were here for our honeymoon so had high expectations and honestly Savus hotel exceeded them all. There was a bottle of wine and fruit in the fridge when we arrived and it was a truly wonderful experience.

The hotel has a perfect location - direct across the marina, on one side you have the beach and on the other side old city center. We booked two rooms with sea view - rooms are specious, clean and have perfect view. Beds were also very comfortable. Hotel has excellent breakfast, apart from buffet - everyday the kitchen prepares special breakfast dishes. The stuff were extremely kind and helpful. They helped us for organizing transport to Heraklion and we relied on their restaurant suggestions heavily(which were excellent). We will definitely come again! Savos and Retymno were the best part of our Crete trip

Super room. Spacious, modern facilities. Beautiful and tasteful. Perfect location for accessing the ferries in the morning, which was our plan. All of the hosts were wonderful, extremely helpful and accommodating. Because we had to leave very early we missed breakfast, but they offered to pack us one for the trip!

Really everything was lovely. We probably wouldn’t have chosen an harbor hotel for a longer stay, but for our needs it was perfect, and surprisingly quiet for being on the harbor! Beautiful in the early morning. We were given our boxed breakfast upon leaving and were looking forward to opening it on the ferry. The “breakfast“ offered was a bit underwhelming: one whole apple, with a very tiny slice of cheese in a very dry bread bun and a kiddy juice-box. We appreciated the offer but it could have been better, especially as it was meant to replace the breakfast we were paying for with our stay.

The breakfast was great, with a tipical cretan touch. The room was perfect, the balcony was great, and the smell in the hotel it was something special. Everything was clean, the cleaning service was spotless. Also the front desk people were fantastic. For a Boutique Hotel, it is a great experience.

The only issue we had was with the noise. The hotel is located on the front strip, and even dough the windows are insulated, you could still hear the noise, especially from the scouters, that when on rambling all night. If you wanna go and relax, you should pick the off season, beacuse in august is very noisy.

I loved the hotel, but you should be aware that it is built next to a street, which can get noisy from the cars and scooters. It can be disturbing if you are extra sensitive to noise. I always use earplugs, so that wasn't a problem, I slept great. The hotel felt so great that this was a minor issue, and I would definitely come back.

Location is 5 min away from both Old Town and the beach; We were nicely welcomed; the 24h reception is a plus; We were offered a good price for a car rental through the hotel's partnership; Breakfast was good (but not varied)

We had a room with sea view and every morning we would open the window for some fresh air but unfortunately the pollution from the cars & motorcycles was very bad; the noise from the street was not terrible (even for light sleepers); Overall, we considered this hotel a bit expensive for what it has to offer.

It was a pleasure to stay in this hotel. The staff was really kind, helpful, always ready to give recommendations about restaurants, beaches, trips etc. Unfortunately when my trip was cancelled, they did their best to arrange another one for me. Thanks to all of them, even if I travelled alone I felt very comfortable and not alone at all. The room was spacious, clean, modern, appropriately furnished, the bed was really comfortable, especially the pillows and I appreciated the balcony with a lovely view. You can connect your electronic devices to a smart TV via Bluetooth and for example play your favorite music, which I appreciated. There was nothing to complain about. Eggs on different style were prepared every morning, always fresh and tasty. What I appreciated the most, even though they offered homemade products for breakfast, there was always plenty of choices. I liked a location of the hotel which is close to the old town but also to the beach by walk. If you are looking for a small comfortable hotel with a good atmosphere and friendly staff, this will be the best choice. I would definitelly come back.

We liked everything about this hotel! We got upgraded upon arrival which was a lovely surprise. The hotel is spotless, the staff is so attentive and helpful and the breakfast varies every day, with so much to choose from plus a different egg dish every day. The hotel staff helped us with the transfer from the airport and to book or call taxis whenever we needed them. The location is perfect as it’s just outside the old town and it’s so easy to get to both the old town and the beach. Our room was overlooking the port/onto the main road but we had no issues with the noise as the building is very well insulated.

We stayed in a superior room on the fourth floor with a sea view. Great room with a great view. Great location in between old town and the beach, everything we wanted to go was within walking distance. The room was well cleaned and we were well taken care of by the staff.

The door to the room where you enter from the stairwell is not well soundproofed at all and we were woken up by traffic from the stairwell during the night quite often throughout our stay. In fact when people were closing their doors, you woke up to the sounds. A major fault considering that almost everything else in this hotel is first class. The breakfast was decent, it has a Greek theme and e.g. the eggs were pre-determined by the hotel for each day and you can't just get scrambled eggs, e.g. not the typical one you are used to in hotels in general.
