We had a wonderful stay at Astali Hotel in Rethymno. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. We were able to leave our luggage at the hotel before check-in, go on a trip, and when we returned, our belongings were already waiting for us in the room. The staff was always helpful and attentive. The location is perfect – very close to the beach, the city center, and plenty of great restaurants. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Rethymno.

The best affordable hotel in Rethymno! Great location, wonderful staff, as we understood this is a lovely family business and they aproached our visit with love and dedication. Everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming! The breakfast was great with decent variety! Our room was cute and small, but really clean at all times, and bed was comfortable, it even has a speaker with a few stations! There is a free parking right down the street at the right side of the port. We really enjoyed the stay and we wholeheartedly recommend this hotel! We might return, too!

Breakfast was buffet style served between 7.30-10.30. Had a large array of fruit, yoghurt, breads, pastries, eggs, meats, Greek breakfast ingredients. Endless coffee, tea, water and you could sit as long as you liked. Very relaxed, very lovely What a lovely find! The whole experience centres on 5* staff and the family who own the hotel. Perfect location, perfect price and a casual (which requires hard work) feel so that you can settle wherever you fancy. Just perfect!

everything as described, perfect location for access to all what you might need during your time in Rethymno. we needed the be near to the port for our ferry and the 2 min walk was perfect! we also needed to leave before breakfast was being served and we were so blown away by being provided a surprise take away box of a sandwich, cakes and fruit to take with us in the morning. felt really taken care of by the hotel staff there, thank you so much! I hope other guests appreciate the Cretian hospitality.

The staff were super friendly, the hotel is close to the beach, there are a few restaurants around and some markets too. The room was clean and very spacious even for one person.

House keepers were a little bit too loud in the morning. We get it that they have to clean the rooms daily but please don’t start it at 8-9 am when everyone is still sleeping

Great location. Easy and quick access to both the beach and old town. Staff are very friendly and efficient. Rooms cleaned daily and the rooms are well equipped.

Fabulous modern hotel in the old town. In a perfect position and close to everything. The rooms are a great size, bed very comfortable, bathroom spacious. The room was quiet and hotel stipulates "quiet" times which is great, didn't have people coming back at all hours slamming doors( which has occured in 2 other hotels in the islands) If we returned to chania we would most definitely stay here again Thanks for a great stay

Nothing all wonderful

The highlight: GREAT STAFF, always helpful and nice. After 2 days of stay, they offered us to move to another bigger room to make our stay more convenient as we had overall 2 weeks. They always gave us good tips about whatever question/issue that we had. On the departure date the staff member at the reception even packed breakfast boxes for us as we were leaving before the breakfast was served. Breakfast was good, fair variety. Great location, couple of minutes away from the beach, 10-15 minutes walking distance to Old Town.

Rooms are not too big in general, especially the bathrooms. The power supply to fridge was connected to the room electricity, so the fridge always stops working when leaving the room. Still not a big problem if you don't have much to cool.

Smokers on the terrace but it's Greece so it's hard to avoid. The rooms are small but they are priced very well, comfortable, clean, well air conditioned and quiet. It's a very high budget standard and for a holiday where you don't spend much time in your room it's ideal.
