Suites are located in old building that has been thoroughly restored and it feels like the owner has pad attention to doing it well. Entrance is just off one of the main old town shopping streets, but as the building is located towards the end of the street, it is not particularly loud. As such, it is a great location for exploring the old town. It is also fairly close to Rethymno bus station (which is not a bad way to get there). Breakfast offering leans towards more traditional Greek, but we found it quite nice. Pool is on a smaller side, but its there, which is positive. Just have to note that is something like 1.30m deep, so will not be suitable for small children.

Not a real negative, but a thing to note about location - it is in the old town, so you cannot drive up to it. Finding parking spot further away also seemed like a challenge.

The property was beautiful, nice patio and the breakfast was typical and quite different every morning. The cleaning and cooking ladies were really nice and took good care of us.

The location. Although it was a beautiful street basically in the centre of Rethymno the parking was an absolute nightmare. There are free parking but be prepared to hope there is a free space. It’s always full and crowded, eventually we could find a secret corner 10 min walking. Also the sea was always quite angry and the most beautiful beaches were 45 min driving

Beautifully designed and the property had a small dip pool which was all beautiful. Air con was comfortable inside Breakfast was soooo nice and ladies working there were so lovely. Having breakfast each morning as a table service was just a great touch

Amazing location only downfall is if you are driving into Rethymo be prepared to fight for car parks and park away from the property or get lucky. That is just the nature of the town but the property itself and location is within the old town and walking distance from everything

An oasis within Old Rethymno, this was a lovely old courtyarded property that had been restored, maintaining all the rustic charm but with the modern touches and facilities you need on vacation. The location was good, close to parking options with a grocery around the corner and only a short walk to more bars, restaurants and shops, and of course the fortress and waterfront. We came in late March, so the pool and breakfast weren't up and running, but we really enjoyed our time in this property. Our room had a balcony over the street with a sea view and a roof terrace.

Something you should know if you come by car, and no reflection on the property, is that there is no parking in the Old Town. The streets are too narrow so coming back from a day trip meant finding a parking space, which was a lottery as everyone who lives in the Old Town needs to park overnight. Infact the place is close to options around the stadium which was good, especially for luggage transfer.

Can’t say enough beautiful things about our stay!! Gorgeous hotel. Super clean. Staff is incredible! We love Irini so much. She made sure we had the most amazing breakfasts. Such a perfect way to start the day. We spoke to the owner a little and he was very kind. It was nice relaxing by the pool in the evenings. Just a bit too cold to swim in it but it’s ok! Beach was just a quick 20 min walk and it was stunning. The best restaurants were just walking distances away. Shopping streets. Mini market. Honestly a perfect stay and I wish I didn’t leave! Thank you!!!

Our family of four stayed in an apartment in the same building where breakfast was served and it exceeded our expectations. The apartment was very spacious and well decorated. It was clean, the air-con was good, as was the Wi-Fi. Breakfast was traditional and home made with a different selection served to us each morning. We enjoyed the pool as it was very hot during our stay so a dip cooled us down. We were delighted with the location as it is close to the restaurants, bars and shops, and a useful grocery shop just a dozen steps away which stayed open late. The beach is about a 20 minute walk. We knew that beforehand and were pleased with our decision to be closer to the old town. The old town is beautiful and far larger than we expected which was fantastic. Tourist Information by the Venetian port was useful.

Nothing to dislike. A chest of drawers would be useful in the main bedroom.

We had a 4 night stay,it was perfect. Lovely people looked after us during our stay. We had breakfast around the little pool with beautiful shrubs/flowers. Each morning we had different Greek dishes brought to us for breakfast all delicious. The accommodation was spotless with comfortable beds and everything we needed to enjoy our stay. It was the perfect location a few strides and we were in the beautiful old town . With many restaurants and shops to choose from. Only a short walk to the harbour and lighthouse and also within walking distance of the beach (approx 15 minutes) where we could pay for a parasol and sun loungers.

There was nothing we didn’t like

The facilities of the accommodation exceeded all expectations. The excellent location at the old town and the aesthetics of the place, the cleanliness and the kindness of the staff and the owner create all together the best hospitality conditions for every traveler. I highly recommend it.

WE ABSOLUTELY LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS HOTEL!!!!!Veranda Rossa Suites Rethymno I cannot begin to express how incredible our stay at Veranda Rossa Suites was from the moment we arrived until we left. The hotel is both breathtaking and unique. The lofts were spectacular and they we had a multi level one that was breathtaking. Our gracious and loveable host Irene treated us to the most delightful and delicious breakfast everyday. We couldn’t wait for her daily breakfast and SMILE. We had booked 3 rooms and all of them were immaculate and extremely clean with everything we could imagine and more. Our rooms were situated in the best part of town accessible to the beach by a short 20 minute walk and the best Φούρνο (a small window where he makes the best pies and bougatsa) close by a few steps away. The corner restaurant was unreal with small delicious appetizers plates and great wine. (Asteras cafeneio) I would recommend this hotel for everyone to experience in their lifetime. We miss it already!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH IRENE AND EVERYONE AT THE HOTEL FOR MAKING OUR STAY THE MOST MEMORABLE THUS FAR!!!!!

Location is amazing. The style of the old property with a Venetian balcony and massive roof terrace is spectacular. Internal architecture is also extremely cleaver and contemporary whilst maintaining classical touches of brick work. For aesthetic-loving travellers, this is great.

I think in the kitchen, they could do with having easy things like condiments for cooking and having a hob that accommodates two pans at a time.
