5 Stars – A Perfect Gem in the Heart of Rethymno! We had a wonderful stay at this charming boutique hotel nestled in the heart of Rethymno’s old town. The location is absolutely perfect — tucked away on a quiet, picturesque street, yet just a short stroll to fantastic restaurants, local shops, and the vibrant Venetian Harbour. Every corner of the old town felt like it was right at our doorstep. The hotel itself was full of character, beautifully restored with a lovely blend of traditional charm and modern comfort. Our room was spotless, tastefully decorated, and very comfortable — with thoughtful touches that made us feel right at home. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with recommendations or a smile. We especially appreciated their local tips, which led us to some truly memorable dining experiences just minutes away. The beach is about a 20-minute walk, which we actually enjoyed — a leisurely stroll along the waterfront before reaching the long stretch of golden sand. All in all, a perfect base for exploring Rethymno. We would happily stay again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a special and authentic experience in Crete.

The owner greeted us on arrival and provided a map of Rethymno Old Town and recommendations for places to visit and good restuarants. He also assisted with the taxi transfer back to the airport. He was always available and happy to help. The buffet breakfast was absolutely delicious, with traditional Cretan fayre. The building itself is amazing. It is an architect designed conversion of an ancient Olive oil factory. The architect has retained the beauty of the original building, but enhanced it with all modern facilities. It was kept spotlessly clean and all staff were welcoming and friendly. This has to be one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in.

The only problem that we had was that the taxi could not get to the front door of the hotel, as it is in The Old Town area where streets are narrow. However, it was only a 2 minute walk from our taxi drop-off, and the hotel owner phoned the taxi company and arranged a suitable pickup point on our day of departure.

The hotel and room were both incredibly beautiful, really well situated in the middle of the Old Town and the facilities were generally fantastic. Definite high points were the breakfast (which was delicious) and also Konstantinos, who was incredibly helpful right from the start and assisted us with organising airport transfers and excursions. The rest of the staff were also very nice and welcoming!

Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Konstantinos, the manager, was very friendly and accommodating - he even gave some great restaurant recommendations! The location was brilliant; tucked away in a quiet street in the Old Town, but only minutes away from shops, bars, restaurants and the beach. The continental breakfast was delicious and we were offered eggs made to order every morning.

It is located in the old town, walking distance to everything. It has been beautifully renovated, exceptional even. Many of the original features have been retained and worked with, lots of stone and natural materials. There is not much to fault at all. I would definitely go back and highly recommend it.

It's not that I didn't like it, but they may want to consider a spotlight over the bathroom basin as it casts a shadow on your face, we ladies need good light for make-up! The rest of the bathroom was well lit.

The location was perfect, right in the heart of the old town and within easy reach of most that Rethymnon has to offer a visitor. The building is beautifully restored and has a wonderful feeling. The mother and son (designer and architect) have done a great job. Service was great with nothing too much to ask and the breakfast excellent.

The hotel was simply perfect. Sympathetically renovated to an extremely high standard, this hotel left us wanting for nothing. Our room was clean , had high quality facilities and was very quiet at night. Breakfast was superb (and very healthy!) and eaten in the lovely ambient ‘breakfast hall’. The lovely lady who ran the serving of breakfast (I can’t remember her name….please forgive me), is an absolute credit to the hotel. Nothing was too much trouble and she made us feel very welcome. The owners, Konstantinos an Katerina, are extremely warm and welcoming people. We had a very late nigh-time arrival with our drop off point a distance away from the hotel and Katerina was good enough to meet us there and help us carry our luggage to the hotel. Superbly located and managed, we would not hesitate to book another stay at this lovely hotel. We loved our stay!

The owner was there to meet us as we arrived later than we originally stated. The room was very comfortable and spacious and fit our two children (9yr old and 11 yr old) very well. The hotel is very close to the old town section so you can walk to all of the restaurants and all of the shops and also the fort and the seaside. The breakfast at the hotel was excellent as well as it included a lot of local, traditional, Cretan options.

Located in a quiet lane of the old town, and yet just a (very) short walk from the more bustling part with its Taverns and shops. Historical buildings converted into a small but superb boutique hotel. Amazing, historical architecture. Our room was #9, actually like a penthouse apartment, including a very nice roof terrace with a view over the old town. Very friendly management, very professional and helpful.

Actually nothing to dislike, but to note: Hotel entrance cannot be accessed by cars (lane is too narrow), so luggage will have to be carried for about 50-60 m. Inside the hotel no elevator, be prepared to climb some stairs to get to the room.

Great location, near everything in Old Town. Filled with old charm. Great renovation job, Mother and son run the place and both are extremely helpful re restaurants and sightseeing. The buffet breakfast was varied and delicious. Eggs can be cooked to order. We were very pleased with the options.

The only criticism have is that the lighting wasn’t bright enough for me.
