Stunning hotel right in the old town. Short walks to the restaurants. The room was fantastic spotless . The staff were very welcoming and lovely. There are 2 pools and roof terraces. Nice to sit in the courtyard with wine and watch people stop and look into the hotel as it’s stunning

The hotel is in a fantastic location in the middle of the old town yet the rooms are very quiet so you are assured a peaceful sleep. And the staff are exceptional - very friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. So our stay was very enjoyable.

The rooms are big but in truth there is nothing special about them. Slightly tired furnishing and the shower leaked so the bathroom floor flooded every time anyone had a shower. Not a big deal but indicative that the place could do with a refurb one of these days. Also breakfast was a bit odd - lots of stuff to eat but nothing very tempting. It didn’t help that the man in the kitchen had a very loud voice so breakfasts were punctuated with his shouting to staff or to someone on the other end of the phone half the time.

Rimondi Hotel was much more than a luxury stay – it felt like a home away from home. The property is stunning, and the atmosphere is truly special. The staff were incredibly kind and went above and beyond, especially when we needed it the most. They provided not just excellent service but genuine warmth and care, making our experience unforgettable. The combination of beautiful surroundings, comfortable rooms, and their personal touch made our stay truly exceptional. I can’t recommend Rimondi Hotel enough for anyone looking for more than just a hotel, but a place with heart and soul in the heart of Rethymno. We will definitely come back, the staff will stay in our hearts ♥️ Don’t miss this amazing place

I liked everything about it

Wonderful stay in the centre of the old town of Rethymnon! We had a beautiful stay at this hotel for our first wedding anniversary. The hotel is perfectly located in the middle of old town, two steps from everything - shops, restaurants, old and new port, as well as the y mosque and churches. We had a beautiful big room with a terrace, in the room we had a coffee machine and everything you’d need. We also appreciated a big shower room and a sweet welcome surprise in the room. Breakfast is nice and is especially pleasing on a small terrace in the garden near the pool. We never used none of the pools as we prefer always sea and the beach (also just about 12min walk from the hotel), but it looked very relaxing and cosy there. I’d like to mention that a public car parking where you can leave your car is also just 2min walk from the hotel, which is great too. Now, the best part of this hotel, which is based in a historic mansion and is super beautiful anyway, is its staff. Together with my wife, we’d like to thank Eleni and all the personnel of this hotel, each of them did their best to help us out and make our stay a great memory, very attentive and smiling, best we could think of! A huge thank you to you all and bravo for your work!!!

The location was perfect to walk to shops, restaurants, beach and port. The room was spacious, lots of closet space, and lots of windows. The bathroom was nice and the shower had good water pressure and glass doors. The staff was personable and very attentive they saw to our every need. The breakfast choices were amazing. The manager gave us great dinner restaurant recommendations

My husband and I were infatuated with the Rimondi the moment we arrived. We were exceptionally fortunate (and extremely grateful) to be upgraded to a Superior Suite from the Maisonette, however I do not doubt that our stay would have been just as lovely (with perhaps a bit less sun-bathing)! To begin with, we were greeted warmly at the desk, informed of breakfast times, the opportunity to receive welcome drinks and then shown to our room (our luggage was kindly taken upstairs for us). The room left us speechless with how wonderful it was, indeed, "room" doesn't do it justice! The bedroom was huge, with plenty of space for unpacking, large fitted wardrobes perfect for a longer stay, and a large and very comfortable bed. There was a lounge area with a beautiful corner-sofa, coffee table and armchair, a dressing table, and the bathroom had a good-sized shower. The element that really blew our minds was our own outside terrace, which had space for two sunbeds (which received sun from midday til evening) and a table and chairs, decorated with plants which were healthy and colourful (a good sign of consistent upkeep). The hotel buildings were situated on either side of a small avenue and guests could access both courtyards which had ample places to sit and access to pools. Whilst the pool of the Palazzo was smaller, I enjoyed sitting in this courtyard more. The staff were wonderful, warm and professional, nothing was a bother. The breakfast had many options and sitting out in the courtyard was a perfect way to start the day. The Rimondi's location was perfect: within the Old Town but not disturbed by the bustling atmosphere, the gentle hubbub added a lovely flavour to our evenings on the terrace. The harbour was easily accessible and there were great restaurants nearby (we LOVED Raki ba Raki). Rethymno beach was a bit more of a walk but there was a little rocky bay close by that we used every day for swimming and snorkelling. Thank you Rimondi!!!

The staff couldn't be better. They were so helpful to us when we had to communicate with our tour company that had botched our travel plans and helped straighten things out since we could not explain ourselves in Greek. They took the extra time to work things out. The staff gave us great help with our luggage and helped with directions to various places efficiently and clearly.Breakfast was excellent.The room was clean and quiet. We were totally pleased with our experience here.

Great location for exploring the old town and not too far to walk to access beaches and other tourist services in the newer part of the city. Breakfast was superb with a wide selection of foods to suit all tastes and being a buffet style means you can try whatever you fancy. Staff were excellent, very friendly and nothing was too much trouble.. The small touches such as a glass of iced water when you sat in the pool areas made you feel special. We were in the building across the narrow srtreet from reception with a small courtyard around the small pool. Room had so much character and very comfortable and the courtyard was very relaxing and quiet.

Shower cubicle in our room was a bit snug, possibly something to consider when there is a bathroom refurb in the future.

Located in the old town, the hotel is perfect for exploring the city. There are plenty of restaurants in the city and all are accessible on foot. Considering that the hotel is in the old town, you will need to walk there from the larger streets, as the taxis are not able to enter the narrow streets of the old town. The walks from the taxi drops are like 50 meters, so nothing too much in my opinion.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Rimondi Boutique Hotel - it is in a great location right in the middle of the old town. Eleni, Costa, Nick and Dimitri and the team really looked after us well. We had a lovely tray of dried fruit and nibbles along with some Raki in our room provided as complimentary. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic and there was a huge range to choose from. Highly recommended.
