It is in the middle of old town, so it has a good placement. The place is very beautiful, it is an old, but elegant building arranged with a lot of good taste. It has a spacious room and air conditioning, the bathroom looks very modern, and it had the necessary amenities for the shower. We liked it. Also we appreciated the two bottles of water in the fridge. The owner was very hospitable as well.

It does not have an elevator and it is hard to climb two floors with luggage. It does not have parking. We parked in a place 5 minutes in walking distance from the hotel, but that was 60 cents per hour. It does not have balcony and, therefore, it doesn’t have a clothesline where to dry our clothes (towels and bathing suits from the beach, it is a must in my opinion seeing it is summertime and this is a beach destination).

This place is so cute, and right in the heart of town so you are really close to everything- from food, to shopping, to attractions. The hotel itself is adorable, old style wood and stone that has been tastefully modernized. The accommodations were very roomy and comfortable. We felt like we should be in some tiny old town in the alps with the charm of the place. The woman at the desk was very helpful in directing us where to park and how to find the hotel, as well as waiting up late for us when we arrived.

There was not parking available at the hotel itself. The street outside the hotel was shut down for pedestrians only, which we didn't know when we arrived so we had to call the hotel while we were driving around for help on where to park. There is free parking several blocks away, but it was too far and dark for us to want to walk from there so we opted for the closer (~2 blocks) parking lot that was very reasonably priced - 10 euro for overnight parking into the next afternoon.

Incredible location. One of the only ones right in the centre of the Old Town. The 16th century building and rooms are stunning, better than the photos, and a good blend of modern and traditional. Customer service was exceptional too, with great conversation, recommendations and advice. A fantastic stay, would highly recommend.

Nothing. I don’t think breakfast was available but there are plenty of places nearby. Like other reviews say the stairs with a heavy bag can be a bit tricky but not if you are capable - so I wouldn’t let it put you off.

Top marks for location in a quiet alley surrounded by shops and restaurants. Short walk to the Fortezza and harbor. Helpful receptionist (Eleni?). Daily housekeeping.

Mattresses were too soft for our taste and no back support. Because it's a converted stone building and its location in a narrow alley, there is no elevator (not for those with mobility problems or heavy bags!), not much light, the room stays cold, and there is no proper ventilation in the bathroom. I didn't find it very comfortable in cold weather.

Leo Hotel is in an excellent location just near the old port. It is a beautiful old Venetian building which has been lovingly restored. My room was large and completely soundproof from the street which meant I had uninterrupted nights' sleep. The bed was king size and so comfortable I slept so well the entire stay. Eleni the owner and proprietress was so helpful and full of great advice - it was such a pleasure to meet her.

Unfortunately the WiFi was not great - the hotel is located in an alleyway opposite another solid building. This is a problem generally in Rethymno due to the density of the buildings which is something I believe is beyond the hotel owner's control.

Eleni was great - very warm, friendly, ever-present at the front desk and best of all was very complimentary of photos of our dog. The rooms are beautiful, clean, spacious with a high ceiling and small terrace with large bathrooms and a safe for valuables. The hotel itself is situated conveniently in the heart of Old Town so good food & drink and the beach are all with a short walking distance

Wow, what can I say, the property is absolutely stunning. A lot of love has gone in to making this hotel one of the best in Rethymno. Location is perfect, right in the middle of the Old Town. Eleni … you are one of the sweetest, loveliest people we have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Thank you for making our stay feel like a home from home and for going out of your way to help us out. Nothing to dislike. If you want a perfect stay in Old Town Rethymno then you need to stay here!!

Host Eleni is great, utmost hospitable and helpful. Leo Hotel certainly was one of the best addresses in town. Still it’s a really nice hotel in the city center with a lot of lovable details. But unfortunately, times are changing and customers expectancies, too. Let’s put it this way: if you are a friend of good old-fashioned accommodation and you like the atmosphere of a genuine Venetian palace, this is the place to go to in Rethymnon. Thank you very much for having us, dear Eleni!

We hope that the small cafe in the house will re-open soon. There are plenty of cafes in the area, but this one looked really inviting.

Amazing Hotel at the heart of the city. Very clean and spacious. Beautiful interior design with vinatge decor and nice ambience. The host was very helpful and easy/quick to respond to messages

One major (for me) problem is that the room is not fully blackout. I need 100% darkness when I am sleeping. The blackout curtains/ shutters cover partially the 2 separate balcony doors and the window does not have a shutter at all . You should bring a sleeping mask otherwise, you will wake up when the sun rises. The room becomes very bright from very early. Also, there is no elevator

Beautiful Elegant modern hotel in a 1470 building with thick stone walls and 20 ft ceilings. Location is excellent for walking, convenient to the beach, bus station, shopping and restaurants. The staff makes you feel like family. They also have a on-site restaurant which makes it convenient if you are tired of wandering. Will stay here again in a heartbeat.

Thru no fault of the hotel, there was a weather event where the city cut off water, no shower last day. You have to prepare mentally for these things when traveling. Luckily no one sat next to me on the bus.
