Gannis, the owner, is very good . He went above and beyond to make sure your stay was 100%. On arrival, there was homemade cake, wine, and Raki. Housekeeping each day. The area is very lively with busy restaurants and bars. Shops and more shops. The little streets are amazing, Rethymno is a very friendly place. Air conditioning in room, soundproof you can hear the bars for a little while on an evening but close the door and it's fine. Polyxenia Suites was hands down the best place we stayed in our month long holiday in Greece and Turkey. The room was large, well appointed, light filled and positioned overlooking a vibrant street. The balcony was a treat at the end of the day watching the passing parade, and the double glazed windows made it quiet at night. Our host Giannis has not missed one detail in his presentation. From the wine, home made cake and raki he offers at the beginning of the stay to the comfortable bed and well appointed bathroom. It felt luxurious and was so relaxing to stay there. Giannis also went beyond the call of duty with any recommendations or questions we had. We loved our time there and will be back.

Beautiful, sunny room and massive balcony with panoramic views felt luxurious. Comfortable bed, modern well equipped bathroom with plentiful hot water. Perfect position with huge choice of restaurants and bars nearby. Tea and coffee, including a coffee maker, and delicious homemade cake made breakfast on the balcony a delightful start to our days. The Raki & wine from Gianni were delicious for evenings. What made our visit exceptional was the warmth of Giannis' welcome. Even before we arrived, he sent us a message with link to a map showing where to park, much appreciated as we approached the busy town. He made us feel truly at home from the moment we arrived and throughout our stay. There was some noise at night, of course, due to the central location but well insulated balcony doors and good aircon ensured a good night's sleep.

Great location in the heart of old town. Sound proofing adequate for the busyish street, but no way as busy or noisy as Chania. Great views from the top balcony. Host was very friendly and generous, and present each day in the middle of the day (which is refreshing compared to the hands of style apartments). Host even met us personally at 22:00 to get us checked in and settled on the first night. Can't recommend enough if you want something alternative to a hotel, but knowing someone will be around at some point each day.

We were greeted by lovely Giannis, who ensured our stay was perfect with home baked cake, raki & red wine. We love a morning coffee, so it was great to have plenty of coffee supplied for our four mornings (filter machine). Giannis & his wife went out of their way to make us feel welcomed. Very positive, kind, and happy to share his love for his hometown. What a special place this is. The room was spotless, and the bed was comfortable. We enjoyed the patio to get out of the midday heat whilst watching the world go by. The position within the old town, right beside the old mosque (silent as not for worshipping), with views to the mountains, was very special. Close to restaurants, shops, and all the top spots, including the incredible fort and an easy walk if arriving by bus. We highly recommend staying here - 👌

One evening was a little noisy, but to be expected when staying close to restaurants. We shut the windows, turned the air conditioning on, and slept well.

Our stay at Polyxenia Suites was perfect! Great central location in the heart of old town. Owner is extremely friendly and assisted us throughout our stay. Highlights, the assistance with carrying our luggage to our rooms, homemade wine, raki and cake from yiayia awaited us on arrival. The fridge was stocked with cold water and the beds were extremely comfortable. Rooms are in very central location but we couldn’t hear any noise. Highly recommended!

An amazing stay with a great host! We had an incredible experience staying at Polyxenia Suites in Rethymno! The location was perfect and the home was spotless. Upon our arrival, we found some delicious homemade cake, Raki, and local Wine. The host, Giannis, went out of his way to offer great local tips and was super responsive to our questions. The check-in process was smooth and easy and we felt at home from the moment we arrived. I would highly recommend this place to anyone and would love to stay here again in the future.

Exceptional suite on the first floor, with two balconies. Perfect for people watching and a great position within the old town of Rethymno. Everything you’d need is provided and is quality. Towels are soft, bed is really comfortable and the shower is large. Giannis provided two bottles of water, a sample of (his father’s) raki, and a lovely slice of cake (his mother’s).

The property was situated very central at the old city of Rethymno. Everything was close by. The host was incredibly kind and helpful. The room was spacious and soundproof (important when living at the city center). Everything was clean and comfortable. It was really nice that we were also given some Tsikoudia and a home made cake. I would recommend this property in a heartbeat.

This set of suites is in the centre of the old town. Perfect position. Beautifully decorated room with extra large double bed. All furnishings are 1st class. And the bathroom is immaculate and large. Great shower, lovely large balcony. Small fridge and tea and coffee machines, with all cups dishes and supplies. And the owner provides a very tasty cake and small bottles of raki and red wine. Very lovely touches of kindness and care. We highly recommend !
