Really beautiful hotel, quite and very relaxing but near to Oia for restaurants and views, Staff were really lovely and the included breakfast was fantastic, wish we could have stayed longer. Good place to escape it all, not a party spot!

Its a bit isolated and the walk to Oia is a bit challenging. Would have been great to have a spa . Airport transfers arranged by the hotel were very expensive but it seemed that's the case on the island in general. There was a mix up and we weren't given the room type we had booked and paid for initially, however they sorted it with an hour and very kindly gave us a late check out at the end of our stay as we had a late flight.

What a Find! I booked this stay as a surprise birthday gift for my husband and it definitely did not disappoint! Danae Suites is such a hidden gem. Tucked away from the busy tourist spots, down some quiet little alleyways, you’ll finally land at this amazing place. Sure, your taxi might not love the route (you’ll probably need to walk a bit), but once you get there—wow. 1. Total Peace and Quiet This isn’t Fira or Oia. No crowds, no noise, no one walking past your jacuzzi while you try to relax. It’s super chill and peaceful—exactly the kind of vibe you want on a real getaway. 2. The Rooms Are Wildly Good Seriously, the rooms are next-level. Bright and airy in the daytime, cool and cozy at night. We stayed in the deluxe suite and it was 100% worth the splurge. It felt like our own little house. And watching the sunset from the jacuzzi? Unreal. Luxury without feeling stuffy. 3. The Staff? Incredible. Honestly, the people here are amazing. I’ve been lucky to visit a lot of hotels, and the service here is easily some of the best I’ve ever had. Super professional if you want that, or totally down-to-earth and friendly if that’s more your style. You can tell they genuinely care about your experience. 4. Breakfast Hits the Spot Fresh, local, beautifully done—and it tastes as good as it looks. I’ll 100% be back. Early May was the perfect time to visit, and huge thanks to Vasiliki, Chris, and the rest of the team (even if I don’t know all your names—you’re awesome).

Oia is only a 15 minute walk away. The path is a bit steep, but it is quick and there is a kiosk on the way if you need a lil refreshment! Our room was stunning and cleaned spotlessly every day. The staff at the pool, breakfast area and reception were incredibly friendly and helpful! Whatever we needed, they took care of it right away - transport, quad rental and even when I had some health issues, they supported me immediately and genuinely cared! A special thanks to Ms. Theodora P.! Breakfast was absolutely delicious with a great variety and the rest of the food at the hotel was also very tasty! We truly felt so comfortable and well taken care of!!

Spacious rooms, lovely modern design. Enjoy space for our kid to run around. We had a little sink & fridge area which was ideal for cleaning bottles and baby snacks. The property is in a lovely quiet location, around a 15min walk into the start of Oia where there’s plenty of restaurants. Staff was helpful and the 2 waiters in particular were kind and friendly. In all the property is great. I appreciate it’s a minimalist design but I couldn’t stay more than few nights as there was no shelving or draws to unpack baby clothes, underwear, sportswear etc which made me feel very unorganised . I’d like it if the breakfast buffet had more salad, fruit, cheeses to help ourselves too rather than ordering. The swimming pool only opened at 11 which was unusual and there’s no easy accessible beach options with children in Santorini.

The property was perfect- very clean, modern and beautiful. The view was breathtaking. Watching the sunset by the pool every evening was a highlight. But what made this holiday were the staff… they were EXCEPTIONAL. They took care of us and our 2 year old son so well, were kind and attentive and we will definitely be returning in the future. We will also be telling all our friends and family to visit. Thank you so much for your kind hospitality and making us feel so at ease and welcome!! One of the best hotel experiences we have ever had and we are frequent travellers!

I don’t even know where to start on this review. Our stay exceeded all our expectations and then some. We loved every single second at Danae suites and wouldn’t hesitate to book again if we ever go back to Santorini. It was the perfect location between Thira and Oia. About a 10 minute walk up the hill to Oia but don’t let that put you off as it’s so much closer than we thought! The pool area was gorgeous and so peaceful. They played lovely music all day everyday and it was honestly just the most idyllic place to switch off, I’ve never ever felt so relaxed in my life. The staff cannot do enough for you, from reception to the lovely waiters and the maids who cleaned our rooms they were all absolutely incredible. Every day we came back to our room all clean, all my toiletries lined up and pjs folded etc just little details I am so grateful for and is something I appreciate. The views are just spectacular we pretty much stayed round the pool all day everyday because we couldn’t get enough of the calm atmosphere which is exactly what we wanted. On our last day we had a late flight so they even let us hang round by the pool, gave us fresh towels, organised our transfers all with ease and nothing was too much bother for them. Really really can’t say enough how much difference it makes having lovely staff at a place like this. I also need to mention after reading some reviews saying the food wasn’t all that and the breakfast is minimal I 100% disagree! The food we had by the pool was amazing and the iced coffees and smoothies were gorgeous. The breakfast menu had loads of choice and you could order more than one dish so some days we would have 2 breakfast dishes and something sweet like pancakes too, all included! Absolutely 10/10 stay! Thank you so so much!

The only negative (although we found it fun) was the driveway to get to the place is very narrow. Our taxi drivers had no problem getting up the track and we hired a smart car and had no problem either but just to note if you are looking to get a car, get a small one unless you want the challenge!

I loved everything about our stay at Danae Suites! The room was beautiful and comfortable, the property was gorgeous in an amazing location, the staff was friendly and easy to communicate with, and the complimentary breakfast was a bonus!! I will absolutely stay here again if we make it back to Santorini!!

Everything was perfect!! It is a bit of a walk to Oia (the closest town) and mostly uphill, but it is doable!!

Was absolutely perfect. The hotel is in a more quiet area in Finikia, about a 15-20 minute walk to Oia. The pool is beautiful with amazing sunset views. There are great restaurants 5 minutes walk away. The staff here are exceptional, friendly and make you feel extremely welcome with their hospitality. The room is thoroughly cleaned daily and left spotless. They helped us organise transfers to and from the port and let us stay by the pool while waiting for our late ferry even after checking out. Our room had the beautiful Santorini cave aesthetic with modern design and was brand new. We loved having our own spa pool as well. Overall it was truly a 10/10 experience and I would highly recommend staying here.

The hotel has fantastic views over the sea with some islands in the distance (although not caldera view). The hotel is in Finikia which is a 15 minute walk uphill to Oia. We found Finikia to be a nice little village with some lovely restaurants. Our room (honeymoon suite) was brilliant with a big comfy bed. The private pool and patio was secluded and relaxing looking over the farms to the sea. Breakfast was consistently nice every day. We ate at the hotel restaurant one night and it was good too. I guess the hotel is probably ran by a big hotel chain but it really had a family feel to it. There were a small number of very friendly staff who were there every day. Reception staff offered sound advice on things to do and where to eat, bar staff were great guys, housekeeping were faultless and Marcos (a handyman I think) always busy doing little jobs but found time to help with bags or give a lift in the golf buggy. We really had what felt like a luxury experience.

I'd advise booking a taxi / transfer through the hotel. Especially if you've got suitcases. Some minibuses might refuse to drive up to the hotel. This was not a problem for us as a member of staff gave us a lift down to the road in the golf buggy.

Small menu but what they made in choice they made up in taste. With delicious pancakes cover in Nutella, tasty omelets and Greek mixed with honey and almond shavings. Lovely inside seating out of the heat and outside with shade from the sun. Bar located near the pool with sunbed and seating next the bar with umbrellas. Excellent lunch menu. Pool was big size with seating area at one to enjoy the view while keeping cool from the sun. The staff were so kind and helpful making us feel very welcome, they would bring our bag to the room. Beds were very comfortable They gave us recommendation for restaurant and how to get to Oia with was only a 20min walk (You do not need to go up the hill at all to get to Oia or any of the supermarkets) Would highly recommend would stay again
