The location is excellent—just a few minutes’ drive from the city center, situated halfway up the mountain. At that altitude, we were lucky enough to catch the aurora right from our balcony. The bed was super comfortable, and the room was spacious and clean. The dining area had shared kitchen amenities like a toaster, microwave, and kettle. Our room also came equipped with a hairdryer, smart TV, coffee maker, and mini fridge, which made it really convenient for us to prepare breakfast and heat up meals in the evenings. There's also several supermarkets located nearby.

There’s really not much to complain about. If I were to nitpick, I’d say the dining room facilities could be improved a little—perhaps by providing more cutlery. Also, we had reached out to the hotel before our visit to ask about the kitchen amenities and were told there was only a kettle and toaster, with no microwave available. It would have been helpful to receive accurate information in advance, as setting clear expectations is important.

This hotel is so wonderful and so clean. It’s so new and everything is perfect. We had the hotel send us the codes to the door and we checked in at our own time. It’s really new and it’s really clean and modern. Like legit clean. Will definitely come back here and stay the entire trip if I’m not jumping between locations. 12/10. Booked on booking.com and it was really a value for money. Rooms There’s a balcony which you can walk to your car in under 5 steps. (First floor rooms only). Room is modern. There’s Netflix and a smart tv and a fridge too!!! It looks like a high class hotel. NGL. Nearby activities Theres a bonus near by 5km distance. The drive there is so easy. We’re near a ski resort too. Safety It feels very secure. Walkability Nobody walks in Iceland. Please drive. Food and drinks Buy from Bónus and store it in your fridge. There’s also a common fridge that looks very nice (like glass door nice). Theres also a microwave. Noteworthy details There’s a hot tub!!! And the place feels so nice. Don’t stay in the city just stay here and enjoy yourself!!! Edit: We got the see the strongest northern lights from the balcony (though out the trip).

It’s a very nice room in the perfect setting just outside of the town. The 5-7 min drive to get food in the evening was very convenient. Very comfortable bed, great to park our car right outside the terrace of our room. Shower was great, great little coffee machine and good to have a fridge. Really easy to check in and great to not have key/key cards as I always worry about losing them! Prompt and helpful communications from staff on the self check in process - makes life easier when you’ve been travelling all day and very tired, thank you!

I really enjoyed my stay here! Self-service hotel so it felt really private. Room was spacious and nicely designed, very comfortable beds and two pillows each. Spotless bathroom. Fridge in the room which was very handy and there's also a full-size fridge in the kitchen area. Great view over Akureyri. We were on the ground floor so we could park our car right outside the room. All we had to do was enter a code into the keypad to enter the building and our room, very easy process.

The kitchen area could do with some more crockery and cutlery.

Location was really good. Easy to find hotel and room. Easy to check in by yourself and good experience as a solo traveller. The room itself was really nice, big room and nice space. The bed was the best part, very comfy, slept really well there and no noises from anywhere. All quiet.

One toilet roll was not new which I did not like, some dust and not fully clean under bed. One sugar pack by the coffee was open but overall clean and really nice. The shower drain could also use some cleaning as the shower bottom filled really fast when showering. Other than that I can't say anything was not good.

A very modern hotel with large, clean, comfortable rooms and private restrooms. Easy self-check in with detailed instructions provided well ahead of time. You can park outside your hotel room's patio to more easily move luggage in and out of your room, so you don't need to take it up any stairs or down hallways.

This was very well just a lack of research on my part, but the hotel is quite up the hill in Akureyri and away from the main town. It's not very far and takes only 5-10 min to drive to restaurants and stores, but the hill is quite steep so can feel a little precarious when icy.

beautiful location … self check in super easy and simple! big smart tv . very spacious , with sofa and eating area , coffee machine and fridge . good shower , big bathroom . calm and quiet . will stay again !

this depends on the room , but this time the pillows were not comfortable at all . i still think some rooms have better quality duvets covers then others or maybe im just used to sleep in very soft ones . cleaning was not done very well this time , there were some hairs in the bathroom and in the shower . but other then that good job from the housekeeping team

It's convenient to have self check in. Size of the room was amazing. Location was perfect for us, we had a car. Everything was very clean and the fridge was a huge plus. Beds were comfortable and extra pillows laid on shelf among pillowcases just in case. Easy to access and it seemed to us that they've thought of everything when this hotel was built. Nice to be able to have our car parked in front of our patio from the room.

Noting to complain about. It suited us perfectly. If weather conditions would have been better... ... It would have been possible to sit outside and enjoy the view.

The hotel is located a little outside the city, on the way to the mountain, so it is quiet and has a beautiful view of the mountains and the whole city. Room is not big, but very clean, modern, it has everything you need. A lot of sockets with a convenient location, a good bed and a comfortable sofa, I was very pleased with the small refrigerator in the room. The bathroom was very comfortable, everything is thought out, there is room for everything. I also really liked the chairs with handles, I have never seen them, but it is very comfortable!

Not a minus, but my preference. There was a coffee machine in the room, and a kettle in the shared kitchen. I would change this, usually you need a kettle more often

A modern hotel with spacious rooms. Check-in was easy and the car was easily unloaded via the balcony. Free laundry was a very nice bonus. We cooked our own breakfast, the shared kitchen had an electric kettle.

Rooms should have their own kettles. It would be more useful than a capsule machine, but this is a matter of taste of course. Also dedicated parking spaces in front of the rooms would be a good addition. Now the front of our room was full of other cars and we had to park further away, which was impractical when unloading a full car.
