Awesome little hotel tuck in the heart of a village, from where you can get a ferry to Hrisey island. Good parking right in front of the hotel. The room was prepared and awaiting for us. Bright room full of sun (large windows facing towards the sea), very high ceilings, blackout curtains, comfy beds, all sparkling clean. Complimentary coffee capsules (Nespresso). Fully stocked bathroom, hairdryer in place. Delicious breakfast. What more could one ask for?

This was a luxurious and spacious hotel room with a great view of the Fjord mountains. A hidden gem which can be quite deceiving from the outside of the property which was set amongst some dockside buildings. Breakfast was a self serve but very adequate. A delightful stay indeed and a great spot if you planned to join a whale watching tour from the town. The nearby Beer Spa and restaurant was closed when we arrived but we drove to a nearby town of Houganes 5 minutes away and enjoyed a great seafood dinner and local beer from the Baccala Bar.

The village is tiny and dominated by a small brewery and a beer spa with bistro. This unmanned hotel has large rooms with comfortable beds, and quite a lot of space for dining, which is not used. That said, the spa and breweries are musts, and if the bistro is not open the Eyra restaurant, two villages towards Akureyri, is exceptional.

I like to see staff in a hotel and there were none. Also, no breakfast option.

I arrived by bus which meant a 30 minute walk on an icy road to get tot he hotel; however, when I mentioned my arrival time, someone immediately volunteered to pick me up at the bus stop and drive me to the hotel. I already had the keycodes and it was all very easy to get to my room and get situated. Staff is on-site during the day time. Breakfast (unstaffed but pretty obvious) was available early.

The coffee machine was a bit confusing and sprayed water — then I realised that someone else had left their coffee pad in it. I’ve not seen that kind of coffee machine before so it’d be nice if staff checked it during the day to ensure everything is in a fit state to be used by confused tourists early in the morning.

The room was beautiful and the location is fantastic.

When i checked in there was no one there, they did send me a message about how to get into reception. However they didn't tell me where the rooms were and there were no signs at all on the direction of the rooms. There also wasn't any breakfast in the morning, although there was a note in the room giving the times of breakfast. Not major things, just little niggles.

North of Akuryeri and worth the drive around this peninsula off the Ring Road. Great staff, helpful and gracious by phone, seamless access to room, breakfast was self serve and just 'appeared.' Very adequate. If you are in town on Friday or Saturday you can stop in to the Kaldi Brewery very close by to chat with the folks there. Did not go to spa or restaurant nearby. Walked the town in beautiful evening light just admiring this village and the care folks take of everything.

Excellent location, although with no direct view to the spectacular mountains opposite the hotel. Very quiet location, though next to the harbour, where you can get a boat trip to the island overlooking the town. Parking is free and in abundance in front of the hotel. The hotel itself is luxurious and the room was super big with all amenities and a massive bathroom. Cant fault anything as far as the accommodation goes.

Our only problem was the breakfast. Very limited and with no one around to help you. Things were just laid out in fridges and you had to provide for yourself. So this was not a proper breakfast experience. Would also have liked to meet someone from the staff. Everything was automated as far as entry to hotel and room, so we never interacted with someone from the staff. Just a phone number on the reception that you could call.

This was our favorite overnight in our 3 week tour of Iceland. Plush carpeted room with comfy bed and clean, modern bathroom. Felt decadent and the staff were so friendly too. 1 minute walk to the beer baths, location couldn’t have been better! And what an adorable little town!!!

No kitchen

the hotel has just 5 rooms and my friends and I had the whole hotel which was great. Adjacent to the hotel was the beer spa with restaurant which was perfect as we could go to the sauna and hot tub each day after skiing and afterwards to dinner. The rooms are all newly renovated with great beds and a very clean and new bathroom. The owner of the hotel was super friendly and very service oriented.

There is nothing which we didn‘t like.

Extremaly large room (room number 1). Comfortable beds. Soft carpet in room. Very clean bathroom. You can make a coffe in your room (Nespresso). Very quiet place. Check-in without any contact. A few USB ports available in the room.

A bit mysterious breakfast: they was not organized in a typical for hotels way. You can make it by yourself using food you can find in the fridge and on the table (no service in the kitchen). For the first 24h we saw no living person (hotel service and guests).
