The place was amazing, with a very nice view to the beautiful town and the harbour! The rooms were well equpped and warm, comfortable and clean. The staff was really nice and helpful. The hotel itself is very well maintained, it offers a lot of information and the design inside was very nice. Higly recommend! P. S. If you have enjoyed the movie "Eurovision", in the bar next to the hotel (which is named after the famous song from the movie - ja ja ding dong), there is a museum with an exibition of the props and on the other side of the entrance of the hotel, you can find the little elf houses fron the movie, very cute. I think the exibition will be there for 2 more years (this info needs to be double checked though). Opening hours are strange, so make sure you give a call to make sure when when a visit will be possible.

Great place to stay, very comfortable and enjoyable. Walking distance from the center of the town. The room was very clean. The staff that we met, Estonian guy at the reception, was very friendly and accommodating. The Italian lady at the restaurant next door for the breakfast also was super friendly and very welcoming. Breakfast is basic, but it’s fine for starting the day. Highly appreciated the homemade sun dried tomatoes and olives. Good coffee from the machine, which is a plus point.

It had a private bathroom, room was on the ground(2nd floor stairs only) very clean and bed comfortable. Staff was outstanding, friendly informative for dining places told us about Geosea Thermal Pool within walking distance, gave us towels for thermal pool. Beautiful view of town and harbour from hotel. Older hotel but all renovated. Continental breakfast was good met lots of people who were going on whale watching tour. Town very popular for this! Wonderful experience stayed 1 night. Small pub and museum next door walked thru, free when staying at hotel but went down to harbour for supper for fish and chips.

Parking is limited but okay. Pub next door limited food so ate by harbour (drove there)

There was a bar next door with a Eurovision / exploration museum connected to it that guests could enter free on the festival weekend I was there. The hotel was ideally located for watching the football at Völsungur, whale watching, going to the Geosea baths, and attending the festival. I had Icelandic Lamb soup at the hotel as well as a couple of cocktails. The staff were excellent and very helpful with their knowledge of local facilities and activities.

Loved the “Eurovision” theme + bar + museum + it even had Elves houses! A must if you’re here bc of the Eurovision movie as I was. 200 meters from the restaurants and harbor center. Clean, great bed, I rented the corner room with harbor view, and enjoyed that. Parking was great. Not a luxury hotel, but friendly staff who also ran the bar. I’d stay here again while in Húsavík.

Breakfast was not worth attending. The TV in my room had 1 channel working and was a tiny tiny television. But I wasn’t there for either of those items. So I didn’t really care.

The hotel is one of the best we've been around Iceland. The staff is super friendly and helpful, the hotel is warm and comfortable, with a beautiful library. The room is beautiful with large windows and comfortable beds. The breakfast was great and served in the library. The hotel is very close to the harbour, so if you have a whale watching tour you can reach the harbour in less than 10 minutes, perfect.

Everything was perfect

The hotel building looks really nice, very friendly. The staff welcome the guests with such a big smile and happy attitude, they really made our day. They were also very helpful answering all our questions and requests. Anastasia and Valentina are the assets of this hotel. The JaJaDingDong Bar (beloging to the hotel) has a very special atmosphere with all those memories from Eurovision. We are determined to come back one day.

Great location! Great owner! We got the sea facing rooms 201 amd 202 great views of the sky and cityscape. The owner is a wonderful guy Erie who is enthralling with his stories and history of the area. Not much in terms of facilities, its an old place but not rundown. Basic facilities but good quality toiletries. Not very modern but goes well with the vibe of the places. Very good place to stay.

On the fifth day of our self-driving tour around the island, I absolutely loved this hotel. The staff were witty and humorous, and the room was cozy with a thoughtful welcome chocolate. You can really tell the care they put into running the place. The hotel is located near the beautiful harbor, and I had an incredibly comfortable night’s rest.

The Hotel itself was fantastic, the staff member was so helpful with advice for us. We went into the Eurovision exhibition.

I was sure I had booked breakfast however when we arrived at the hotel we were informed breakfast is not included from November. There was the option of a toaster/microwave so we could have made our own, we chose to go into town and have breakfast in the cafe opposite Whale Watching ticket office.
