Practical place to stay. Comfortable VERY good restaurant, the fish and chips is extremely well cooked and other plates are very tasty as well. Probably the best thing about the hotel is its restaurant. Breakfast is a bit simple yet tasty and filling.

Area around the hotel looks a bit dishevelled so the first impression is a bit disappointing. They stop refilling the breakfast area once time is getting closer to stopping giving breakfast so I could see some latecomers (although they were on time) simply being left with very little choice. If it’s still 20 mins before you’re stopping serving breakfast you should ensure everyone has the full choice.

Ideal stopover for a night. Reception pleasant and helpful. Willingly arranged bed configuration in our triple room to be 3 single beds not double and single. Room was spacious with large windows and curtains that blocked out the light at night. Bathroom wall in concrete/ lava grey was dark for my taste but fully functional white fittings. TV had one channel in Icelandic, not a smart tv unable to use streaming services.

We liked the free parking, the twin room size with private bathroom. Quiet and clean place. Wifi was excellent. Good breakfast buffet. Coffee maker & kettle in the room. Friendly staff. Easy and quick check-in/check out. Location was perfect for us on our way back from Westland to Reykjavík. The mini fridge in the room allowed us to store our food. Elevator to reach the 4th floor.

Maybe more fruits for breakfast

The location was perfect, there is a volcanic crater within walking distance, and a fabulous lake very close giving spectacular views. The decor and welcome was lovely, Natalie and her partner treated us a special valued guests. Breakfast was perfect. We will definitely recommend to friends and family to stay here when in Iceland.

Nothing, everything was perfect.

Breakfast was good but needed bit of refill and it took a while to have the butter refilled for the toast. The selection was great. It was maybe the 1 CD stuck in the replay mode that was sounding over the room with possibly music the staff likes I don't know but we had a bit of a giggle over the selection.

As said before, weird music at breakfast. And if there is anything to be said about the room, it was basic as it can be. And the pillows were not much. But it was what we paid for. And we were happy with our staying.

The bedrooms and bathrooms were really lovely and stylish, as well as being really comfortable. The staff were great and allowed us later check in when we took a few extra hours to arrive than expected. Breakfast was fabulous, too, and the location was perfect for a stop off on our road trip.

Food was amazing! Definately recommend dinner buffet. View from the room was the best in Iceland. Nice reception staff. Remote place.

Shower gel and shampoo in shower was absolutely empty, sound isolation is not the best, when taking shower water went way outside of shower area. When greeting staff in the morning nobody said hello or good morning back.

Wanted hotel on way to Snaefulsness Peninsula. Good value. Lovely staff. Did excellent full day tour of peninsula. Handy location on route 1. Nice breakfast. Hotel seemed quiet.

Not much choice of food in evening and very expensive, even bar menu. Good quality mind you

Very nice, large room with outstanding bathroom. Excellent breakfast. Perfect location for a stopover during Ring Road trip. A plus - nice 3 km hike to the Grábrók volcano straight from the hotel (or shorter from the parking)

Honestly did not expect it to be such a nice modern hotel, but we were very positively surprised. Very big tastefully furnished room. Excellent breakfast with options reaching beyond the usual bread and cereal. This turned out to be the best out of the six hotels we stayed in Iceland.
