Beautifully decorated home (all rooms including the toilet!) with a fully equipped kitchen. We stayed in the small twin room which fitted a small square table, a chair and a large bedside cabinet. The beds were comfortable and the shower/toilet was the most well furnished of all the places we stayed in Iceland - large sink, coat hanger and a bamboo chair! There was even a dog to play with in the cafe below :-)

The room didn't have natural light but there was a ventilator to keep the air fresher. The car park was rather steep to drive up but overall, we managed and had a lovely time!

A very nice place, but the room we got did not have a window. I didn't see any information about it in the description and in the photos it looks like there is a window. Fortunately, after reporting the problem, the nice owner changed our room to an apartment without an additional fee. The apartment was brilliant! Spacious, clean, with a kitchenette, well-decorated. I honestly recommend even paying extra than staying in this small room without a window

Lack of ventilation and airflow in a small room. I don't recommend sleeping in this room because it's very stuffy and we couldn't sleep.

The guesthouse was spectacular. We stayed in the main house, and it was like staying at your grandmother's house - very clean and super-cosy. We felt at home immediately. The Christmas decorations and lights were so beautiful. I have never felt so rested after a stay. We ate locally, and there were some nice places to choose from. If you don't want to eat out, there is a fully equipped kitchen that you can use. The cafe and shop downstairs was just as cosy and welcoming. Blomsetrið has some more choices of accommodation beside the cafe, and they were really beautiful. I will definitely be back!

We loved the kitchen on site and the cafe downstairs. Delicious coffee! The beds were really comfortable, I had the best night sleep on the trip in those beds. I was worried about it being hot since the room didn’t have a window, but it was comfortable and stayed really dark. Would stay here again.

Rooms a little smaller than others we stayed at around the Ring road. We probably didn’t know how to work it properly, but the shower was cold. Steep driveway to get to the parking by the rooms.

Communication was very good and we found the place without much of a problem even though a road was torn up and using the map on my phone took us right through the construction. Still, we enjoyed the little cafe, great service, friendly people and comfortable accommodations. Sunsets were pretty and not too far of a drive from Hvammsvik Hot Springs.

I cannot think of anything to dislike. We enjoyed out stay there and met some folks from other parts of the world. We also met a nice woman who is friends of the owner(s) and encouraged us to visit her in the northern part of Iceland. We would definitely stay here again!

Handy location in the center of Borgarnes, though if you don't have a car you'll need to walk about 15 minutes from the bus station. The guesthouse rooms are above a slightly quirky flower shop and café, filled with plants, books, art, and comfortable couches. We arrived a bit before the check-in time and they welcomed us with free coffee while getting our room ready. Upstairs is actually fairly spacious, with a homey living room, functional kitchen, and nice bathroom. Sometimes the family that runs the place is up there. Everything was clean.

We had no complaints about this place.

We enjoyed our stay. The beds were comfortable, nice kitchen and big bathroom. Easy to park. The hosts are very friendly. The other guests were very nice and we had great time around the table.

Keep in mind that there is only one bathroom for 5 rooms. Not a problem for us, because when we were there there were 5 guests total. Two of the bedrooms are without windows - look carefully when booking, if it is important for you.

Only issue for us was the fact that there was only one bathroom which also housed the toilet. A separate toilet would help solve waiting times.

Brilliant location and access to the generously stocked kitchen. Comfy beds, lovely hot shower and helpful staff.

The window was completely blocked, so it felt quite claustrophobic and hot after a while, even when we used the little AC unit there.
