Great location and great facilities. The rooms are big and the bed is super comfortable

The staff at the front desk are not friendly with a hint of attitude. Also, at the restaurant, TIDE, the service was chaotic and slow

The hotel was very well located. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean and well maintained. The room was very comfortable. The restaurants in the hotel were wonderful!

Breakfast was delicious! The Lobby bar was our favorite. Staff there were very friendly and taught us about Icelandic gin and vodka! That was fun! Valet parking was a breeze and the front desk 100% there for all our needs! The Easter egg delivered to our room was a class act and very yummy too! Thank you for that!

The roof top bar was very disappointing. The views are definitely worth it, but the faculty was dirty, gross carpet, food all over it. The furniture definitely needs to be replaced. The chair I sat in was so worn that there were places where the padding was showing. Although the music was nice it was just TOO LOUD! My husband and I couldn’t even talk to each other without raising our voices, so we left. Very disappointing.

The Breakfast Buffet was amazing, in fact all of the restaurants and bars were great spaces and had delicious food.

No the most amazing harbor views but the location was perfect and super convenient to downtown Reykjavik.

This place is amazing!!! It's super easy to find in the city! Plus, they have a very accessible front entrance that allows taxis and other transportation to leave/pick you up right at the front. From the moment you get close to this location, you get a wonderful scent. (That they do sell in the spa) The staff, particularly Ben and the concierge, were incredibly kind and helpful. I did an early check-in, and when I got my room, it was a very spacious room with a nice view of their court yard and VERY clean. The spa is easy to schedule, and the facilities are clean. The bars and restaurants are all beautifully decorated (especially the rooftop bar) with great drink and food choices. The surrounding areas are very nice, with great accessibility to shops and restaurants along with stunning mountains and ocean views.

I wish they had mentioned/explained their resort fee, and how you could use it at their bars/restaurant, which i did not know until day of checkout. Though I feel the hotel is amazing based on staying in other hotels in the area I did not feel the price difference, differentiate it enough from surrounding hotels.

Nice location

The King room with terrace was rather tiny. The staff at reception had all the time to explain tourists where to go, what to see, even whilst there was a long queue to check-in or out.

What did I like? Everything. Truly—everything. From the moment I walked in, it felt like stepping into a kind of magic: this exquisite wonderland in the perfect location, just steps from everything in Reykjavík, but somehow still its own peaceful world. The atmosphere? Fabulous. The design? Beautiful. The scent in the air? Absolutely hypnotic. But what made it unforgettable was the people. Every single staff member—every one—was kind, caring, and genuinely attentive in a way you can’t fake. The heartbeat of this place is its compassion. You feel it the moment you arrive… and it makes you never want to leave.

What didn’t I like? Honestly, the only thing I didn’t like was that it took me until after I left to realize just how truly priceless this experience was. It made me reflect on how easy it is to focus on price—until you’re given something so rich in heart, beauty, and care that you suddenly understand the real meaning of value. This place changed the way I think about what’s worth paying for. It’s not just a stay—it’s a reminder that when something is created with love and excellence, it’s worth every bit and more. So really, what I didn’t like… was how long it took me to see just how much this place gave me.

- Incredibly warm welcome from The Reykjavik Edition staff on arrival, which included local recommendations, maps of Reykjavik and where to see the Northern Lights (which worked for us!) - Complimentary spa access was very much appreciated - Felt like there was so much to do within the hotel, from dinner, to drinks (there are three bars, each with a different vibe!), to coffee & cinnamon buns in the cafe, we felt like we didn’t even need to step out the door! - Entire hotel was aesthetically pleasing and smelt incredible!

We had an amazing stay at the Edition. We were celebrating our recent marraige and my husbands 50th birthday. They gave us complimentary Champagne which was a lovely bonus and also organised all our excursions for us. Highly recommend staying at the Edition Reykjavik.
