I had the pleasure of staying at 101 hotel in downtown Reykjavik that is member of the Design Hotels. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience there. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. The hotel's location in the heart of Reykjavik was perfect for exploring the city. We found the hotel to be impeccably clean and the lounge area incredibly comfortable. Overall, we felt we received great value for our money. The design of the hotel is both stunning and timeless. Highly recommended!

Ive stayed at the hotel for over a decade- but never in Summer. Our first offered room was noisy at 4 pm due too a sound check at the music venue next door, but the manager sorted the problem with a room further away from the boundary wall. Nothing the hotel can do about their noisy neighbours but worth checking. The facilities are good - I used the gym and the spa is good. We had cocktails in the bar on both nights - the barman is excellent. Location is outstanding.

Beautiful hotel in a perfect location! Room was spacious and comfortable, with lovely small sitting area. Bed was SO comfy and we enjoyed the hotel jacuzzi and steam room as well. Staff was helpful and kind. It was very easy to come and go-close to the main shopping street. Bus stop #6 across the street- brilliant.

We loved it all-stayed in new extension of hotel. Only suggestion would be to install Room a few hooks to hang towels/robes.

Great art in the lobby. Good bedding and robes. Front desk wrote me a lovely happy birthday note and upgraded my room to one with a balcony.

Guest room furnishings are less considered, less Finished, minimally appointed. No lotion in bathroom or coffee maker in room. Front desk staff varied from warm and friendly to unnecessarily scolding, a bit anxious to say no to requests, though we were granted a hot water kettle, thank you. We were hard pressed to find a place to plug it, or our phones at bedside.

-The staff are very kind and cooperative. - The hotel location is very convenient. - Bed is comfortable and good to sleep. - Sheets and both robes are quite good quality. - Toilet and Shower room are completely separated. - The hotel staff prepared birthday messages. - The scenery was splendid

- The basin is in the room and not good quality ( designed but not functional) - There is no tee and coffee complimentary. - The water pot is not equipped ( they rent free of charge b request)

very clean, very chic, 10% discount at the restaurant around the corner which we used and which was VERY good

we wanted the room to be colder so we opened the window and turned off the heat while we went out to dinner; cleaning staff closed the window and turned the heat back on bathroom is bizarrely constructed, sink and vanity is set diagonally in the room... toilet has a frosted glass swinging door.... I don't understand why hotels think people want that 🙃

Beautiful hotel in an excellent location, close to restaurants and bars and shopping. The room was a good size with a very comfy bed, and gorgeous design/decor. Bonus that there are a few complimentary parking spaces just around the corner.

the room sacrificed some practicality for beauty - no sockets by the bed, no kettle, small vanity unit, small TV, no privacy for shower or bath

Really beautiful hotel, very clean, modern & comfortable. Lovely bathtub in our room that was perfect after a day travelling up from the south. Had a gorgeous private spa/hot tub that was an added bonus too. Only thing missing was a coffee maker in the room, but apart from that, would 10/10 recommend.

Staff were welcoming and helpful. Having an option for breakfast was good and there was a small but good continental selection. We used the sauna area, small but enjoyable. The location of the hotel is absolutely ideal for a stay in Reykjavik. Every place we needed to access was within walking distance.

The only drawback is probably outside of the hotel's control. Our room backed onto the building beside the hotel where on Saturday night there was a rave/dance night. The noise made it impossible to rest until the function ended.

Central location, quirky hotel with nice art features and smart rooms. Breakfast was limited and the staff advised to eat outside as not part of our package

We had a bedroom at the front of the hotel and we didn't sleep till 3am due to the weekend partying and shouting outside. The room was also really hot/stuffy as no air conditioning. Staff did eventually give us a fan which helped.
