Good location in the middle of the city centre. Some noise in the evening, but not that much that it's annoying. Note this was between Christmas and Old years day, so more busy in the evening on the streets with both outgoing as tourists. But in the cold dec. it's a good alternative if you don't want to walk to walk much to the centre. It's really 30 sec. around the corner of the mainstreet ;) The staff was extremely polite and that's good, just keep it loke that. Also one of the staff was from Pakistan origin and had a nice chat with him. I was the one from India origin but born and lives in Netherlands if he remembers ;)

We had a lovely stay at Center Hotels Klopp. It was in a great location, within walking distance to all of the main attractions around Reykjavik. We had free breakfast every morning which was very tasty, and perfect for before we went off on our daily excursions. The staff were lovely and accommodating, and provided us with a small breakfast box in preparation for our early morning departure on our last day. There were also plenty of bus stops around, so we never had to walk far when being picked up for our day trips around Iceland. Although the rooms did not have heating, we were never cold, and the rooms were nice and cosy.

Perfect location . Staff great and really helped getting us taxis and advice during our stay. Rooms small by European sizes but very clean and more than adequate for short city break.

Requested early breakfast on last day and received 3 tiny croissants between 2 of us with half a cup of coffee which was extremely poor compared to good breakfast on other days

Location was excellent and central. Weather was exceptionally cold and windy during our 3 day stay and we appreciated not having to walk far to see the nice shops and restaurants. The morning breakfast was well-appreciated especially on tour days when we had to be at the stop by 8 or 8:30. The breakfast is hearty enough to tie you over until lunch and selection is varied enough to suit most people's tastes - oatmeal, granola, skyr, fresh fruit, breads and pastry, cheese and sliced deli sausage, hard boiled eggs and juices coffee and teas. The front desk staff is exceptional - very approachable, friendly, accommodating and helpful. Our twin room happened to be conveniently located just on the lobby level, and sufficiently roomy albeit very basic. We appreciated the small fridge and kettle provided.

One thing that turned us off was the room was not as thoroughly cleaned as preferred - namely the bedside nightstand drawer still had food crumbs from the previous guest plus the shelf below was broken and just sat at the bottom of the nightstand. It wouldn't take much to replace the shelf pegs to put the shelf back up. I wasn't familiar with using radiator heaters so luckily the front desk attendant came to bring us extra blankets and showed us how to turn on/up the heater. Which was nice of him to do as we checked in at 1 in the morning!!! The room was nice and warm after that.

They allowed luggage to be dropped and stored ahead of checkin, so we were able to sightsee unencumbered. The front desk staff was extremely helpful. They provided directions, recommendations, and even arranged FlyBus transportation to the airport. There were also good choices of things to eat for breakfast.

The only negative was the bed arrangement. We requested a room with two separate beds. There were two twin beds, as expected, but the room was set up with them pushed together and made up as one. We had to move them around and redo the bedcovers. That wasn't a problem, but we checked in late evening and may have disturbed other guests

The hotel management met us at the door - we were hours too early. But he came out and carried our stuffed and weighty luggage into the lobby for us. He gave us the rundown of the city, not knowing this wasn’t our first in Reykjavik. Then. He let us into our room - early. The room was seriously comfortable and spacey. The room looked out over the Irish Pub and yet, we never heard a sound all night. Breakfast was continental style, but the food choices were healthy Icelandic breakfast fare (not mass produced and out of a plastic bag). On departure day we need out before ‘we’ needed out. The hotel had a room for storage luggage and we we able to enjoy the couple of hours in Reykjavik not babysitting our bags.

No complaints or whines from here.

The hotel is very central, the location is great. We arrived around 3 am and the staff greeted us very nicely. There are some places to park nearby as well and the staff is grateful to explain how parking zones work. The bed was surprisingly comfortable. Breakfast was simple yet delicious. Rooms were clean. Great value for money!

There is a bar on the other side of the street from the hotel and even on weekdays there could be noise but that’s not surprising as it is super central. I also couldn’t figure out how to open windows when I wanted to get some fresh air into the room. The sink in my room was also draining slowly. Had some issues with the door key (but just had to push more strongly). I did not raise any of these issues with staff as they were not something of importance for me.

The hotel is in the perfect location. It’s literally a 2 second walk from the main town which is amazing. It’s great value for price for where it is and what you get. The staff are ever so helpful and nice. Nothing is too much trouble, upon arrival they took the time to explain everything and recommended us places we should visit and also gave us a little book which included vouchers for local restaurants and excursions. Brilliant stay, I think another thing I absolutely loved was the bed!!! So comfy. Where do you get your pillows and bed sheets from please hahah!!

The breakfast. I usually like a cooked breakfast with more options, no bin for used tea bags etc either.

Breakfast was amazing — great variety and very filling. The hotel has a perfect central location, everything is within walking distance. The room was clean and comfortable, and the room service was excellent. The staff were kind and very helpful - truly a pleasant experience!

A few things to keep in mind: there’s an Irish pub nearby, and it can get quite noisy on weekend nights - something to consider if you're a light sleeper. There was also an odd smell in the bathroom, and the TV occasionally stopped working.

The location was just brilliant. Close to everything including bus stop for pick up and drop off for airport and day trips. The staff . Everyone that we encountered in this hotel were super friendly and helpful. Farouk gave us a loan of an extension cord for charging our devices and other staff members helped us with trips and taxis. They really could not have been more helpful. Full marks to them all.

The room needed updating. We had only one working socket to charge devices and that was by the door so we had to put a chair there to put things on. Farouk had kindly given us an extension cord so that helped. Only one of the lights over our beds worked and they were in an awful position over the bed as we could easily hit our heads off the lights and the main switch was behind my friends bed so if she was sitting up in the bed the light kept turning on and off . So very bad room lay out. Bathroom was small but adequate. Shower flooded every time it was used though.
