Had another wonderful stay here—I’m a returning guest, and for good reason! As a solo traveller, this place was perfect. The location is ideal, just a 2-minute walk to the city centre, with bus stops (6 & 14) nearby for easy pick-ups. The room is cosy, private, and well-equipped with a great kitchen and a coffee machine (always a bonus!). But the absolute highlight? The bed! Easily the most comfortable mattress I’ve ever slept on—better than the one I have at home, lol. It was absolutely fabulous to see the Northern Lights from the window—such a magical experience! Communication with the staff has always been excellent. I’ve never had any problems. I know some guests might get frustrated when the door code doesn’t work, but honestly, just take a deep breath, give them a call, and they’re always quick to assist and sort it out. The only downside? Having to go back home! Can’t wait to visit again!

Great location, quiet but only 3 blocks from main city street and 2 blocks from the waterfront. The self check-in code, access to luggage storage room really, really handy as I landed at 9:25am. 5* hotel quality bed, linen and coffee/tea supplies. Also spacious.

The internet was very patchy. Kept dropping out and when it was working, the speed was slow. I tried both the guest ISP and the secure one. Fortunately, I didn't need to do any work on this trip but as I rely on stable, high-speed internet for work, this is an important criteria. This service would not have supported my video meetings. Other than this, very pleased with the accommodation.

The location is very good. You can do almost everything by walk. The tours pick us up from a bus stop that is very close. The hotel has everything you need and if you need anything extra, you can use your door code to the storage room. It’s a very simple and basic hotel.

The picture on the booking website that shows when we book the room is very different and bigger. I was expecting something bigger and brighter, with a proper space for the kitchen table and kitchen. The room was very small. I basically used the hotel just for sleeping as I was away for the tours during the day. For this reason, this wasn’t an issue.

My stay at Swan house was absolutely great! The hotel is located in city center of Reykjavik. I took bus from Keflavik airport. The bus provider at the airport gave me a map and I found the hotel very easily. The location of the hotel in Reykjavik is perfect. All amenities are within walking distance. All tours and transportation hubs are easily accessible. I originally thought to rent a car but luckily didn’t. Didn’t need the car at all and used local buses or walked to absolutely everywhere with ease. The room had three radiators where you could adjust the temperature to be just perfect for you. The room was spotless clean and very nicely decorated. Little kitchen had all necessary equipment which become handy when we came home tired and just wanted to make a quick meal. The owners of the hotel were great, communication was easy and prompt. I will stay there again for sure if we go to Iceland! Kate

Too many rules which we found out about after the booking which took away from our comfort. We didn’t use any amenities in the apartment for fear of being fined.

The property was wonderfully decorated and furnished. It was also in a good location, walking distance from bars, restaurants and the main attractions. There were also many parking spots available around the property within the P2 and P3 zones.

The code pad on the entrance to the building can be slightly temperamental in the evening when the weather is cold. Also, the shower in the room had a quite a low pressure and apart from a few hooks on the wall, there was no furniture to store clothing. Lastly, as the rooms are not cleaned during each stay, I think they would greatly benefit from some cleaning equipment stored inside the room or in a communal area.

The swan house was well located in Reykjavik to see nearby sites such as the church and harpa concert hall, which were within walking distance. The room was also very spacious for 3 people.

We booked the room for 3 people, however the room was only prepared for 2 people when we arrived. This meant we needed to set up the sofa bed ourselves, and we initially did not have the 3rd set of linen, pillow, and blanket. As we arrived at the accomodation past midnight (having caught the night flight from London into Iceland), there were no staff available on site to give us the missing set. Luckily, the accomodation has 24/7 online support, and the staff were reasonably responsive. It took about 30 minutes for them to help us troubleshoot the situation, which involved accessing an unused apartment on our level to finally get the stuff we needed to settle in.

Great option to visit Reykjavík! The apartment is brand new and very clean, well equipped, near many restaurants, shops and a short walk away from all the main turist attractions. The area was quite peaceful and it was easy to rest at night. The bed was very comfortable aswell! There is the cheapest parking zone 2 minutes away, where u can park for free all night. A big bus station is there aswell. The price was very reasonable aswell, for Icelandic standards. Would definitely reccomend this place! Only 2 small cons, no closet (only hangers) and the wifi was a bit unstable in my room

Well equipped kitchen and huge balcony/patio. Big windows allowed for sufficient light to enter the apartment. Perfect location - could not be better!

The doors to enter and exit the building via Vatnsstígur slam every time someone enters or exits. This is because they only have handles on one side of the door and there is no way to counter the force of the hinge closing once you pass through. This allows sound to echo through the vestibule into the night. This especially effects the rooms on the first and second floor nearest that side exit.

The room was nice: large shower with heated rack that allowed for drying of hand washed clothes, comfortable bed, windows that open. Both the building and the room were quiet; I couldn't hear anything going on in other rooms, which was nice. The location was an easy walk from everything downtown. Luggage storage was available. There was no physical key required; they send you a code that you use for the building and room.

There was a hiccup in communication about an early check-in. It would be nice if the room had a full length mirror.
