Quiet at night and a great location to see Reykjavík and to meet tour vans and travel to the airport and lagoons. Bus stop 14 is just two blocks away- we liked it because we were almost always first to be picked up for tours and there was a nice little bakery next to the stop. The property was clean and quiet at night. So easy to walk to dinner. There is no host or reception on site. They give you a code to get your key.

There is a sketchy building next to the property that had guys sitting out smoking for hours day and after dark but they did not bother anybody. The rest of the block is quite nice- family homes and apts. I would not get the basement two rooms, too claustrophobic. Second story was great.

Alfred's Studios was exceptional. Easy check-in / check-out. Very clean. I highly recommend the unit with the balcony. Nice view. The studio apartment had everything I needed for a great stay. Kitchenette was well-stocked. Appreciated the use of the washer / dryer. I ran into the host one morning. He was gracious, inquired about my stay, and was very helpful with travel info. His advice was spot-on. Great location. Walking distance from Hallgrimskirka, Harpa, bus stops, shops, museums, etc. I'd definitely stay again and would recommend to friends and family.

It’s centralised and near to many attractions and amenities. The apartment comes with pots and pan, bowls, plates, cutleries even condiments (except cooking oil) for cooking.

It is located in a slope so you have to climb up or down to the apartment in addition the wind is very strong (have to walk against the wind) so for old people there might be an issue. The carpet under the table is quite annoying, we keep tripping on it. The owner did not provide sufficient trash bags and kitchen paper, we have to replenish ourselves.

The check-in process was incredibly smooth and much earlier than expected. They sent me a message as soon as the room was ready, which was supposed to be later in the day but was available in the morning. The location was absolutely perfect, and I was even able to stop the car right at the door to unload my things before returning it. The space was very comfortable, clean, and well-equipped, even perfect for cooking if needed. Communication with the staff was easy and efficient, and they were very accommodating, allowing me to leave my luggage after check-out and return later without any issues.

The studio had everything you need for a stay in Reykjavik. You can cook in the kitchen, store food in the fridge, warm it up in microwave, or toast your bread in a toaster. We had ground coffee, electric tea kettle, and dish washing stuff. The bathroom had soap and shower gel, and hair dryer. A lot of electric sockets, lamps, and convenient chairs around the table, which fit 3 people.

The shower was a bit clogged so I regularly stood in a layer of water when showering, for the rest, it was great.

The place is very comfortable, safe and well cared for. It is exceptionally clean. The staff is super kind and thoughtful. You get a little kitchenette and a balcony. It was close to the bus stop #14 so it was an easy bus transfer from the airport. Which is important because Taxis are way too expensive!!! Right in town not far from the cool church and the main town fun stuff. Also close the water. Beds were very comfortable. We would stay here for sure next time. It’s like your own little Iceland Apt.

Lovely well kept property, excellent location - only minutes away from everything we needed. Well equipped in terms of cooking and washing facilities and staff were polite and quick to respond to enquiries which was much appreciated. Thank you!

Could have done with a little more storage space - a bedside table or some drawers would have been handy as we were staying there for over a week. But everything else was perfect!

Very clean and central to Reykavik. Comfy bed and easy access. If you have a car you have to park on the street so make sure you check the parking times. good thing is you can pay for hours so not having to go back and keep checking.

No issues at all

I had a wonderful stay at this apartment! The place was spotlessly clean and fully equipped with everything I needed — even kitchenware and utensils were provided. The host was incredibly kind and helpful, even coming over to help set up the sofa bed. Communication was smooth and friendly throughout. The location is also fantastic — just a 5-minute walk to the Cathedral and the Rainbow Trail. Highly recommended!

The studio was amazing for the price we booked last minute due to changes in plans the location was perfect with an easy walk to a bus stop for trips and into the city centre. The kitchenette was good for us just couldn’t buy anything than needed oven cooking. The bed was great the room was spacious and the whole place was clean. The host was very nice when we met him, easy self check in process.

Would like an oven but did not need.
