Good location and very nice apartment.

There was no parking so we were left to ourselves to find parking and walk to the apartment. It’s a good apartment but there are other options nearby with available parking so I wouldn’t stay here again

The Rey Apartments are right in the heart of Reykjavik. Many restaurants, small grocery markets, and stores are very close. Our two bedroom apartment was perfect for the 6 of us. Our son and daughter-in-law and their two teenagers had the larger bedroom with 4 single beds and we had the bedroom with 2 single beds. The apartment has one full bathroom, and one with just a toilet and a sink. This is a nice feature. The apartment is very attractive and spacious with lots of light, modern decor, and is furnished with nice dishes, pots and pans and cutlery.

The only negative is walking up a spiral staircase to the 3rd floor.

Rooms are nice and well apportioned as well as fitted. The equipment is functional, reasonably new and clean. Note that there is no washing machine or dishwasher.

The only part that puts the experience a little off is no prior knowledge that rooms could be on higher floors, and that luggage needs to be manually carried up. In our group of four families, I was lucky to get room 106, which is the section behind the main building and is on ground floor, others had rooms in main building on second floor. It was hard to carry up suitcases with 14 days worth of stuff in them ! Dragging up 24 kgs per person was not fun.

Check in and out very easy. Facilities all self explanatory. Nice shower. Brilliant central location near to all cafes, restaurants and short walk to city centre.

No blind on kitchen window was disappointing. Lack of USB or similar charging points. Seating area a little uncomfortable. We had expected there to be a sofa bed in addition to the double bed but there wasn't - though to be fair we did not raise this with the establishment or give them a chance to address this, and we managed fine.

Location was brilliant. The apartment was spacious. Good you can leave your bags in the linked hotel on check out. Apartment had enough kitchen utensils. Beds were very comfy.

The bathroom is huge but the shower is small so lots of water went over the rim of the shower base which then couldn't drain away so towels were needed. With mould on the shower curtain at the bottom. Not essentials but mild inconvenience, no smaller head towels. Only one tea towel. No drying rack for washing up so water over the counter. Lack of recycling other than food waste. It's always a nice extra when you go to an apartment and they already have salt/pepper/herbs, few basic kitchen staples you use so little of on holiday but comes in useful.

I stayed here with a group of friends overnight. The apartment was perfect for a group of 5 and we had plenty of space. There were 2 bathrooms although only one contained a shower. Perfectly located for everything in the city. It was great that we could leave luggage at the hotel where you pick up and drop off keys. Amazing views of both the cathedral and mountains.

The only reason this didn’t get top marks from me was you had to collect the key from a hotel a 2 minutes walk away. This was fine but the instructions for how to get to all the numbered apartments once you’re in the building wasn’t clear. If you’re in the apartments at the other side of the building it’s a bit of a rabbit warren. Better signage for apartment numbers would help.

Great location, spacious apartment for 3 people (extra bed on sofa but comfortable), small but sufficient kitchen for a short stay (ok for preparing breakfast). Breakfast at the hotel very expensive (like most things in Iceland) but there are very good bakeries close by for excellent coffee, pastries and more generous breakfast. Great solution for a stay in central Reykjavik!

Need to check in at the Hotel Odinsve which is not super easy to find when you arrive not knowing the city and without internet connection but finally it is actually very close so no big deal, just check directions in advance. If you come by car there are few parkings close by so either you’re lucky or you have to turn around a while to find a spot.

I don’t know where to start. The location is fabulous. Walking distance to shops, restaurants, and some points of interest. Our studio apartment was clean and the beds were comfortable. It had everything we needed, in terms of kitchen and bathroom items. The best part of the experience was the staff from Hotel Odinsve who managed the details of our stay. They were all welcoming, accommodating and very friendly. One member of our group had mobility issues and the front desk arranged for transportation several times. They saw to it that all of our needs were met. If I found myself in Reykjavík again, I wouldn’t hesitate to book here again. Special thanks to Gunner (?) for making our trip so special.

Great location. Appreciated the daily cleaning. The listing of the room was nice, and brought a good deal of mood to a minimalistic decoration. The hotel reception two blocks away was helpful and daily cleaning was provided.

The mood of the room was calling for final touches – the curtains were very minimalistic, no art on the walls, and the shower curtain felt a bit cheap. The place looks a bit more chic in the photos than in reality. But all in all, a decent overall experience.
