Great location. I think we had the room in the picture of the place. That looks out over the water. You can see Reykjavik from other rooms.

we went to bed early. Then, between 11 and 12, a large group of people converged outside of our window and started shouting and talking excitedly. After about half an hour, I was fully awake and very irritated. I went out to see why they were so loud. There were between 25-50 mostly young- late teens to 20 somethings. They were smoking, drinking and looking at a bit of aurora. I'd be excited too, if I wasn't so angry. I don't sleep well and I was up the rest of the night. I will admit I asked them to be quiet and they mostly slunk away.

I loved this place. The rooms are simple, small and comfortable, bed is comfortable as well. The bathrooms and kitchen are cleaned daily. You can choose to hang out in the big public dining/living area downstairs or take rest in your room.

They had some big groups in vans which were loud until midnight. My room was over the big dining area so maybe I can ask for a room in a more remote area. Even though the groups were loud, the walls are thick so its not crazy like some places I've stayed.

Great scenic spot on the bay Nice room with good linens and view Direct door to outside Great place to stop on way back to Reykjavik Full shared kitchen

First off, LOVED our stay here. But full disclosure- Hospital feel in hallways. I think this used to be a medical center. But has a zen feel too. Buddha images, the big windows with great views. Showers smell of sulfur, which is not their fault and honestly you get used to. Many places in Iceland have this smell. Limited dining space. Tables are near entrance, a bit exposed. Very nice when we were there but during a busier time, not sure

The rooms were nice. It felt like a high end hostel. Adequate number of showers.

No warnings about the sulfur in the water.

The beds were very comfortable. Everything was clean. Communication before was perfect. It was really functionable, the cooking possibility was great and the price is unbeatable. Some people say in their rating that the water stinks. It does - but only the warm water and that is normal for Iceland due to the sulfit (?) in the general water supply. This water is drinkable! So don’t be irritated by that!

The Location was a bit tricky to find, but with a little patience possible. The navigation does not work at one spot. But either way you choose on this half island works to reach the guesthouse!

The place looked like a former hospital, but in a good way. I found it very relaxing after the long flight. It was nicely decorated, warm and rustic design. The place was almost perfectly clean , besides the sink inside the room, i guess they just forgot it maybe but everything else was clean. The fjord view was beautiful and the all place is located in a beautiful area.

The shower was open to the bathroom area so you had to lock the all room to get privacy. I prefer separated cabin, but that's just a personal opinion.

The views are pretty nice for the first few nights in Iceland. For the last few nights, nothing special though. Beds & rooms comfortable and clean. Nice and spacy common space with a well equipped kitchen.

The showers could be maybe built a better way. Also be careful, the hot water colours silver necklaces and other silver (maybe also other metals) stuff - because of the minerals and so. However this is not a problem, it's just something good to know.

Super clean and very comfortable. Excellent, high quality bedding and towels. Great pillows. Comfy mattress. Bonus sink in the room. Good showers and WC. Top notch kitchen with FREE coffee. ❤️ Our view from room 15 was amazing. Sunset and the bay. Absolutely beautiful.

Drive in is sketchy, lots of industrial businesses. Property exterior does not reflect the interior at all. The property is a repurposed nursing home. It works great as a guesthouse, but is a bit concerning upon arrival. Peaceful and comfortable, but not close or convenient to anything.

The kitchen was huge and there were several WC and showers. I had a private room with a small table and a comfortable bed. The last part of the road to get there is a dirt road, but completely fine without a 4x4.

Because of the location, the water (showers and kitchen) smells quite strongly of sulfur. It didn't bother me, but keep this in mind if you're sensitive. I believe it used to be a hospice and they didn't make many renovations.
