Well worth considering if you have hired a car as there is a large, free covered car park at the back. The bus stop opposite has multiple, frequent, swift services to various parts of the centre. Breakfast is big and has a few high spots - soused herring, tuna crunch, chia seed and stewed red fruit, OK pastries. There is an Italian restaurant next door that serves sophisticated pizza, if there is such a thing - we went twice.

The showers need to be enclosed, not have one side open. The beer is expensive, even for Iceland, the interesting ones even more so. It is a bit of a way from the bus station.

Greeted by a beautiful staff who is very accommodating and friendly. She has explained everything that is to know about my condition on awitching rooms. The rooms are clean and the bed was very comfy. There was also a 1st floor with benches were you can wait for your pick up.

Breakfast was ok and can eat in 2 days but if you are there longer you get bored..Probably longer stay wasn't expected.Location was a bit far out but there were bus stopa nearby (i just didn"t know how to use)not their problem actually.

Breakfast was attractive, varied and enjoyable. The staff were all friendly, helpful and well-informed about the town and its facilities and the opportunities for visitors. They helped make our short stay in Reykjavik memorable.

The centre of the town is a 35 minute walk. Once I got to the central area, most of the shops seemed aimed at short-sighted tourists intent on collecting all too tacky souvenirs. On a short visit, it was difficult to get much impression of the way Icelanders live on a day to day basis. There is enormous pressure on visitors to buy in to “experiences” but not much opportunity to meet or understand everyday Icelandic people.

The hotel was easily accessible and in a great location for us. From the moment we arrived, every staff member was very personable, knowledgeable, and professional. Maria checked us in and out and was lovely. The company should want all their employees to represent the hotel in thus manner! Great job Maria!! The hotel area and room were immaculate. We stayed in Iceland 4 nights in a different location each night. Reykjavik Lights was #1! We will always book at this hotel on our return visits!

Nothing!

Room was spotless. Hotel was impressive. The breakfast buffet, included in the rate, was excellent, with great selection, good coffee, and tons of options. At breakfast, make yourself a couple of sandwiches and take them with you, so you don't have to shell out money for lunch. Hotel staff were so nice. Rooms and bathrooms are small; that's Europe, so just accept that. Hotel is very near Laugardalslaug municipal pool. Take advantage of that. For about $10, you can go swim in their wonderful pools, and enjoy their steam room and exercise facilities. Next door to the hotel is Olifa La Madre Pizza, which has excellent food, though the one dessert they offered was a bit disappointing. The hotel is not really within walking distance from downtown, but it's only a 12 minute drive to downtown. Free parking is nice.

Rooms and bathrooms are a bit small.

- Breakfast option was excellent, as my flight arrived very early, the team even said I could have a tea or coffee. - Close to ATM, like 100m - Close to bus stop - Very accommodating for early checkout since allot of the flights depart very early, as I had a shuttle pickup at 3AM, they offer you tea/coffee and a croissant or if you want to pay then there is the full breakfast offer.

- Curtains in room a bit too short, at least for my specific room - While the hotel was a little bit out of town, it was still within walking distance if you really want to walk, took me around 40 minutes, bus is about 20 minutes

Room was small but clean. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was good and included a mix of pastries, yogurt, meat and cheeses, oatmeal and juices. I think there were hard boiled eggs as well.

Walking into the entrance you’re hit by stale cigarette smoke and cigarettes lying on the ground. Hotel was near what looked like several mini malls. I wasn’t crazy about the outside area.

We stayed at Reykjavik Lights Hotel for three nights and were very satisfied. The location is convenient, the rooms are clean and bright, and the staff is friendly. Everything was at a high standard. The only thing we missed a bit was more warmth and uniqueness in the design — the interiors could feel a little cozier . Overall, a great choice for staying in Reykjavik!

When we checked in, we were able to order a "bag breakfast" for our departure date, as we were scheduled to leave before breakfast started. The days we could eat at the hotel, we were pleased with the variety and quality of choices. The staff worked hard to keep food supplied and all surfaces clean. The front desk staff was friendly & helpful.

The rooms were clean, quiet, and comfortable. The breakfast spread was amazing (though busy, so get there early and do follow the instructions for the waffles!). The staff was friendly and helpful. The parking garage was free and convenient. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would absolutely stay again and recommend to others

The desk space was rather small and there isn’t a lot of extra room. However, we weren’t there to spend time in the room anyway
