Breakfast was very good, meaning that we only needed a filled baguette for lunch. The guest kitchen was well equipped and had tables to sit at (as did our room if we wanted to). The nearby Bonus supermarket (4 minute stroll) provided us with baguettes and good quality ready meals (some of them traditional Icelandic). This combination was a great money saver for us (restaurants are very expensive in Reykjavic, and you have to walk to them after a full on day). You could easily cook a full meal if you had the energy after a full day out. The hotel was very quiet, as was the pleasant surrounding neighbourhood. The lack of a reception was not a difficulty, we were sent our access codes well in time and the system worked. There is a 24h "virtual concierge" service via WhatsApp (which we didn't need), and responses were prompt via the Booking.com app. There are lots of books to borrow in English as well as Icelandic. Only half an hour's walk from the city centre, and just under 15 minutes walk from the nearest tour bus stop (number 12) for excursion pick ups.

5 min walk to stay of shopping street which starts at a lovely food Court Hlemmur Mathöll. the hotel is clean, with excellent instructions from owner on how to access the key etc.. common large kitchen and nice breakfast. free coffee in the coridor with pro espresso machine. the kitchen lady kindly packed me a super breakfast as I needed to leave the hotel at 4am to catch the 7.35 iceladair flight, and I'm very grateful!

the only thing I mislooked is that there are rooms with shared bathroom and toilets (yes apparently those things still exist!), and unfortunately for me I booked the shared and I was a bit shocked to see I don't have a shower nor toilette in my room.

The hotel in general was very clean including the shared facilities, nice location (about 20 minutes walk from the big tourist spots, very very good braekfast, and i especially liked the coffe machine on the second floor. And If you are a big beer enthusiast there is a very nice brewry down the steet.

The location is, i guess, near a neigberhood in development so there was a lot of noise especially in the mornings from construction sites so better check if its done, and its the summer so no real night time so it was a bit difficult to block out the light at night

First time in Iceland and I was on a budget. Brim Hotel and booking.com loyalty discounts meant for £72 a night, I got a very comfortable bed, warm hotel and room, private bathroom, friendly staff, full breakfast, daily room service and free 24/7 coffee and cookies. If this is not excellent value for money then I don't know what is. Location was excellent too as the bay is few minutes walk and so are the stops for the trips. I walked to every main stop n Reykjavik. The only thing they can improve is to fit a bigger sink. Highly recommend this if you're coming to spend less.on hotel and yet have an excellent experience.

We spent two nights here and had a really good experience overall. We had a small issue when we arrived—a bad smell in the bathroom—but as soon as we reported it via Booking, the staff reacted immediately and moved us to a larger, more comfortable room. Super quick and professional service! The breakfast was solid, the service was top-notch, and we left very happy with our stay. Would definitely recommend!

A couple of things could be improved: - The curtains were too short, which was a real issue since our window faced the street with buildings directly across. Not ideal for privacy. - The room was way too hot, even with the heating turned off, which made it a bit uncomfortable at night.

Lovely place to stay, I haven’t been to Iceland before and wasn’t sure of how to rate things so kept an open mind however, this exceeded my expectations

When the bedroom door next to yours gets opened it sounds like someone is coming into your room, woke up at 5am one day thinking someone was coming into my room but it was the next door down. Was still very pleased with my stay and don’t let this put you off, I’m a relatively light sleeper and the other person must’ve been quite loud and the 2 in tandem didn’t work out well for the light sleeper.

The artistically Bohemian decor, great breakfast and 24/7 free coffee availability, the modern fully equipped kitchen, and the cleanliness of the hotel, the rooms and the shared bathroom/ toilet space. Also, I loved the wide spectrum of artwork paintings on every single floor and the reading corners as well of shelves supplied with different book genres. Very quiet, and relaxing atmosphere. The Brim Hotel has become and will be my hotel for my future visits to Reyjkavik.

- The room is spacious for a single room, very clean, and thoughtfully designed for Icelandic weather, with plenty of hangers provided for coats. - The bed is comfortable and large enough for two people. - Breakfast is lovely, especially the fresh and delicious fruits. - Location is also good, walking distance to the main street, and 20 mins walking to the bus terminal (Google map states 30 mins, but I took around 20 mins with my suitcase)

It would be appreciated if the breakfast offered more variety, as it is the same every day (although everything is delicious).

Having read some negative reviews I was a bit worried before the stay, however I was very pleasantly surprised when I got there. The parking was fine (we arrived at 4pm at the end of October and had the choice of a few parking spaces). The arrival/check in was easy and the beds very comfortable. Loved the free hot drinks from the machine on the 2nd floor with a huge jar of very tasty cookies. There are a couple sofas in the drinks area and it was great to chat to other guests. The breakfast was a cold buffet but plentiful and enough variety. Location wise, it was a 10minute walk to a food hall, and a 20/30 minute walk to central Reykjavik. 30mins walk to the Perlan museum. Overall, great value.

There were a couple of things in the bathroom that could do with repair (light over the mirror didn't work and the toilet was wobbly!!) No staff available, except the person replenishing the breakfast buffet, but they do give you a number to call if any issues. We didn't call as we had no need so not having staff available was not an issue at all for us.

We enjoy out stay at the Brim especially for the value.The Staff were very nice and friendly and a very clean hotel. The Brim has 24 coffee and cookies... ;) along with a very nice breakfast and free internet. The neighborhood was quiet and clean too. We had a car so getting to the downtown was quick, now if the weather had of been nicer we probably would have walked the 19 minutes to downtown but we found park fairly easy around the main street Laugavegur which has lots of shops and restaurants... but watch out for people when using the cross streets... there's lots of them but you'll know why because there lots to see. Overall would stay there again !

Room 106, The lighting could have been better but we were last minute bookers and they offer better rooms when available. We were very exploring Iceland so it wasn't that big of a deal. I would like to see more hooks in the bathrooms for hanging towels(keeping it green they say) and folding luggage stands for your suitcases.. there were none in out room anyway. Parking was a bit confusing, as there are spots but not clearly marked... watch out for tow away parking spots I was told. Those were the only issues and again we booked late, perhaps the other room were different.
