The room was spacious and the hotel was easy to find. There are parking slots available near the hotel, the challenge is to find one that is free of charge and allows for longer than 15min parking. But the best part was the curtains - this was the darkest room to sleep during my travels! As a bonus, there is a nice restaurant in the same building. There were some ongoing renovations, but they did not disturb. Also, the hotel was surprisingly quiet. Wifi worked well, and staff answered quickly during the say through the booking.com messages.

The bathroom was tiny. Apart from that the only issue was the breakfast - not included or included, available for booking or not. Downstairs it said all bookings have breakfast included, which perhaps was the case or then not. Also in the restaurant there seemed to be confusion with the breakfast - apparently the evening restaurant is not the same company that handles the breakfast, and neither of these have anything to do with the hotel.

The hotel's restaurant was excellent, clean and had a good atmosphere. The staff takes people's needs into account. The breakfast was also plentiful and tasty. The location was good, for example the shops Netto and Bonus are located very close, which was enough for us when we arrived first night in Iceland. At first we were looking for a free parking place, but in the end we decided to park the car in a paid parking place on the street next to the hotel. The parking fee is in hours, but you don't have to pay for all hours in the evening and at night + weekends. Payment can be made by card or app. (P1 area) We didn't see any staff at the hotel, self-service worked well and didn't bother us. The room was clean and modern.

The hotel is under renovation, but mostly it looked like they would be finished soon.

No staff or reception . Our room was lovely and very comfortable, I think it was recently refurbed. The. bathroom was also refurbed, and looked very nice, but it was impossible to shower without the whole bathroom floor ending up under 2cm of water. And because there wasn't a daily room clean or reception we couldn't get a new bathmat so it was completely soggy for our whole stay. This is a minor point which didn't impact on our stay but would be helpful for the hotel to know that they need to either put shower screens up or give fresh bathmats each day

Great location roughly 15 minutes walk from the main tourist area of Reykjavik. Check in was super easy you’re just sent a code 24 hours prior and this gets you into the hotel and your room, no actual staff on site. Room was large and clean, comfortable for a long weekend stay. Heating could be adjusted which was great in the cold! WiFi worked well the entire time. Hotel was quiet at night for a peaceful nights sleep.

The shower didn’t drain very easily but the water pressure was powerful and hot, didn’t affect our stay. Bear in mind there is ongoing maintenance and construction works in the hotel - this didn’t affect our stay at all as we were out during the day and obviously there weren’t any works during the night.

Room was good size as was bathroom. Breakfast staff was excellent and the restaurant dining was outstanding. Whenever I had an issue the staff was quick to respond. Having a local phone available in the lobby with auto taxi dial was very handy. The hotel is convenient to grocery stores, pharmacy, and stores.

The hotel is undergoing renovations. Meanwhile the lobby and elevator carpets are soiled. Our mattresses definitely need replacing. The breakfast buffet was adequate but could use pastries, perhaps a waffle iron, and oatmeal. This was my first experience with a self checkin hotel and although things worked out I would prefer staff on site.

during our check out we got the information from airline our flight was cancelled. We feel very anxious since we don’t have any further information about our updated schedule when we send our enquiries to airlines online chatting system and just waiting……. The staff of the 22 Hill Hotel Miss ELFA she gave me a great help.She using her own mobile helped us to phone to the airline directly and let us fixed the air ticket issue. I really appreciated for her help and hope all the best to her and her colleagues

The information before check in, was perfect. Great information regarding parking, along with a video to look. Auto check in was great and so easy. Very handy location and makes the route to the city centre is great. WIFI was great in our room. We only ate breakfast and this was ok. Nothing special really but it was good to have this included. Shower was very powerful. I think it will look great after the refurb.

The TV in our room didn’t work, no signal. We didn’t really need the TV anyway so didn’t try and resolve it. The hotel was lacking in facilities information. For example, there was no information on who/how to contact anyone if we needed too or information regarding breakfast.l, how to access laundry/dry cleaning etc. It would be great to have a leaflet of information. Under facilities, there was some misinformation *it states docket next to bed, however this was not the case. *it states there is a wardrobe or closet, again there was none in the room I had. I don’t think the pictures reflected the room that I had. The room was quite dark and the windows were high so couldn’t see outside.

We booked a room with private bathroom, it was clean, nice and quite. Easy self check in and out. There is a luggage storage that you can open and lock with a code you will get from the hotel.

There is no kettle in the room, no tea and coffee facilities in the room, poor quality coffee at the restaurant, poor breakfast.No fridge in the room. No heater in the bathroom, it was quite cold, also in the room the heating was going on and off all the time, it was a bit cold.

The self-check-in system works perfectly, and the free parking spots nearby are very convenient. The room was comfortable, but although the bathroom was clean, it was not as beautiful as other hotels we've stayed in in Iceland. Notherlights tour picks up from the hotel location. There is a pricy but delicious restaurant downstairs, and there is no need to go out to eat if you are tired.

It's very close to the city centre, but on winter nights, walking 1.2 km in the wind, cold, and snow can be uncomfortable. I made a special request for extra pillows days in advance, but they didn't register my request.
