I totally loved this apartment during my 2 weeks stay here in Iceland. Just next to the downtown shopping street, the location is within walking distance to many other amenities. The food and convenience store is just right below. The apartment itself is a great one. Clean and spacious enough for the 2 of us. And not forgetting the beautiful view you get ( I managed to catch the Northern lights from my room!). All in all, what a stay and I'll definitely be getting the same place for my next stay here in Iceland.

TV channels are limited and there is no Netflix to connect. No kettle. You have to use the pan provided to heat up water if you need to.

There are many reasons why we liked the property: it is located in the city centre and to many sightseeings, all around with main bus stops for pick ups & drop offs. Our rooms have been spacious, with big, wide windows. The kitchen area is equipped with Utensil for cooking. We liked to come back after struggling with a 45km/h strong wind and cold icelandic weather to our warm room. The staff is very friendly & problem solving in cases you shoukd have any incidents. A supermarket is in front of the building so that you don’t have to carry your goods for a long way back- what could you wish more? We didn’t. Thank you very much Hlemmur Team!

The apartments are in a great location, beautifully designed, and well-maintained. We found everything we needed for cooking, which was very convenient. I am also very grateful that we were given a better room than we had booked. Having a room with a balcony made it so much easier to enjoy the Northern Lights!

The only thing I would suggest improving is the storage space. There wasn’t really anywhere to put our belongings or hang our jackets. There was one rack, but it was occupied by extra bedding. More storage options would make the stay even more comfortable.

Wonderfull location. Walking distance to variety of shops, restaurants, harbour, sea front promenade. Convenience store to purchase food 20m away. Very clean aparment with some sea views. Well equiped and provided coffee pods and cleaning materials. Comfy bed. Excellent WI-FI with nice size TV offering a variety of channels. Easy checking as the email the code prior to arrival with perfect directions. Good communication with host. We parked our car in the parking garage that was about 100m from the unit. Would stay here again. Highly recommended.

Would have liked some more coffee pods - to cover a cup of coffee per person per day. We only received for the the first day.

This Hlemmur Suites Apartment is a modern, quite, clean, minimalistic ,big & convenient space for all travellers. I loved the big windows with it‘s amazing colorful views from outside, also Restaurants are everwhere, there‘s lots of Burgers & Cafe, also Thai foods. The kitchen is a plus for us as we could cook our own food on the stove or use the oven and also coffee Machine to make good breakfast before leaving in the morning, ofcourse they have complete Kitchenwares and Dishwasher too. The Bathroom is also big and they provide handsoaps & Shampoos. If you would like to have budget meals for foods and necessities,the BONUS store is just 7mins walk from there and you could buy all what you need during your stay. It‘s also near in the Bay if you would like to stroll sometimes and If you would like to see the famous church in the city it would take you like 12-15mins. For pickups, the best option would be Bus 12 which is only 3mins away and also Bus 13 like 5mins walk from there. I would love to recommend this to everyone as price is also very affordable and your stay will surely a memorable one.

I would say nothing I wouldn’t like on this Apartment because everything we need is all here😍.

The location was absolutely brilliant - really central and close to a number of bus stops for tours. Having a kitchenette was really useful. The room was really stylish and everything was finished to a high standard. The check-in/checkout process was really easy and the staff were helpful when we contacted them. The water pressure in the shower was great and it heated up really quickly. The bed was really comfortable and we got a great night's sleep. The apartment generally had everything we could need and I'd definitely stay here again.

The kitchen could have done with an extractor fan as there was only a hob to cook on and this created a lot of humidity in the room and meant that everything smelled of food. This was only a minor thing and everything else was fantastic.

Our 3-bed apartment was so much bigger than it looked on the photos. Perfect for 2 adults and 2 teens. Also had a lot more equipment than I might have expected such as dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, plenty tilet roll etc. The keyless system was great as it meant we could split up and still be able to get back inside later on. It felt very safe, it was very clean, spotless in fact and we didn't come across anything missing or broken.

It is at the 'wrong' end of town. We did encounter a couple of people who were living on the streets. However the food hall next door is superb, and it is well located for the seafront, and walking up the main shopping street. I just wouldn't let my teen out on their own to get milk from the 10/11 opposite. There were no coat hooks, which seemed a little odd given the coat weather for much of the year. Only 5 mugs for an apartment sleeping 6.

Spacious and exceptionally clean apartment! The location is great - right next to the fantastic Hlemmur Mathöll and a 24/7 convenience store. Check in was a breeze. The code for the front door and room was provided in advance and we had zero issues. I have seen reviews where people are criticising the amenities. Yes, there are a few things lacking (kettle, toaster, microwave) but this wasn't a problem for us. We cooked using the stove and oven, and used the pod machine to heat water for tea (worked just fine). The washer/dryer was a very welcome discovery. If you are staying here and need bus transfers for tours, pick Bus Stop #9. It's a 60 second walk from the front door.

Microwave would have been good, but as mentioned, wasn't really a problem.

Super helpful staff, whenever I contacted I got a quick response. The location was perfect for exploring Reykjavik and had a shop & food court across the road. Bus stop 1 min away (bus stop 9) for all excursions. The room and building was very clean and easy to access. The room was perfect for what we needed, thank you!

There were limited supplies of things in the room (2 teabags, toilet roll, cooking equipment, 3 hangers etc). I had read many reviews saying the same thing over the past year and the response was this would be taken on board. So I had hoped this would have been different. It wasn’t a problem as we were able to buy more of what we needed but it would have been a better experience if this was provided. There are reviews about there being no kettle. We boiled water in a pan for tea which was really quick and easy. Better than using the coffee machine.

The owner sent information in advance. We entered the front entrance of the building and the room with a door key pad which was straight forward and was easily done. The apartment was spacious, modern, clean and warm. There was air blowing into the apartment which we couldn't control and which was slightly cool but it didnt matter as we could control each radiator keeping the apartment nice and warm. We used the hob, grill, coffee machine, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine. We enjoyed relaxing in the evening watching TV. Initially I didnt think the settee and chairs looked very comfortable but they actually were very comfortable. My family and myself all had a comfortable nights sleep in spacious beds. We had 3 separate bedrooms in our apartment. We had a nice hot shower. The apartment is opposite a food hall and there is a supermarket just out front. The apartment was nice and quiet. There is no car parking with the accommodation. we parked our car just around the corner on the next street. It was paid parking 9am-9pm but we were often out site seeing during the day so it was free to park overnight. It is just a few minutes walk to shops, takeaways, restaurants and it took us about 10 -15 minutes to walk into Reykavik centre. There is an abundance of shops, restaurants, pubs and takeaways along the way as you walk into the centre. We had a very nice stay and would definately stay here again when visiting Reykavik.
