- Easy walk from bus stop 11 and 12, a short walk to the main part of the city, supermarket and several restaurants nearby - Property was extremely clean, spacious, had almost everything our family needed (microwave would have been great though) - Comfortable beds and bedding - Other places we stayed in Iceland were too hot - it was great we could turn on/off radiators and open windows to get the temperature just right.

- No receptionist to talk to (although responses by email were fast), no luggage storage besides shared/unsupervised laundry room, no late check out option - No devoted parking - need to find paid parking nearby

I totally loved this apartment during my 2 weeks stay here in Iceland. Just next to the downtown shopping street, the location is within walking distance to many other amenities. The food and convenience store is just right below. The apartment itself is a great one. Clean and spacious enough for the 2 of us. And not forgetting the beautiful view you get ( I managed to catch the Northern lights from my room!). All in all, what a stay and I'll definitely be getting the same place for my next stay here in Iceland.

TV channels are limited and there is no Netflix to connect. No kettle. You have to use the pan provided to heat up water if you need to.

There are many reasons why we liked the property: it is located in the city centre and to many sightseeings, all around with main bus stops for pick ups & drop offs. Our rooms have been spacious, with big, wide windows. The kitchen area is equipped with Utensil for cooking. We liked to come back after struggling with a 45km/h strong wind and cold icelandic weather to our warm room. The staff is very friendly & problem solving in cases you shoukd have any incidents. A supermarket is in front of the building so that you don’t have to carry your goods for a long way back- what could you wish more? We didn’t. Thank you very much Hlemmur Team!

Location was great. Close to bus stop 9 which is useful for tours or getting the bus to the airport. The apartment was clean and modern. The keyless entry worked perfectly.

We booked the apartment because it had a kitchenette. When we arrived we realized the apartment just had a hob. There was no oven or even microwave oven which really limits the options for cooking. Also, only 2 small toilet rolls were left in our apartment for our 6 day stay so we needed to purchase more. There is no cleaning service so the towels left at the beginning of our stay were not replaced and there was no means to clean them.

Very comfortable, quiet, and across the street from city center and a brief walk to the beautiful bay. Would absolutely stay here again! No physical keys, all doors accessed via key code. Staff was very accommodating when we asked for early checkin. Unlike most European showers, the door actually closes. 24-hour grocery store and food hall and more are next door. Bus stop 9 for tour pickup 2 minute walk away. Shared free laundry on each floor. Wash only and drying rack available.

Only minor things: No microwave. No on-site staff but staff was quick and easily reachable via phone or booking.com chat. No thermostat, but building was comfortably regulated. Air got quite dry with the heat on but you can't help that.

Location was really central without being on the busiest main street, it was only a few minutes walk to the centre of town and a few min walk from the coastal path. It was a very modern 1 bed apartment which had everything you needed. It was airy and bright, with a huge balcony. It was great to have a 1 bed apartment and not a hotel, as it's better value in Iceland and you have more space to relax.

It was a little annoying that you couldn't connect to Netflix, Amazon or Apple TV - despite it being a smart TV. It certainly didn't spoil our trip though as it's minor.

The location is great, all walking distance to the downtown area, close to restaurants and stores. The size of the room and bathroom is excellent. The room was clean however, one of the pillows was dirty.. The rooms look nice and renovated but the building is old. There's no free parking, and paying for parking every day/night can get expensive. It looks like this is the norm for downtown Reykjavik.

The apartment has everything you need for a short stay in Reykjavik! Location is super convenient, a few minutes walk directly to the main shopping street, also just 2 min walk to the nearest bus stop 9. Opposite of the apartment there is a food court where we went twice during our 4 nights stay. A 24 hours open small supermarket directly downstairs. The interior is modern and very new, spacious living room and shower was great. Kitchen is well equipped with everything, even though we didn’t really cook, but is super practical for travelers who want to cook dinner or lunch by themselves. Check-in with PIN and good communication with customer service per app, who by the way is also very nice and friendly!

Location was where we wanted to be, A little bit away from the hubbub, plus this property is just across the street from the old bus station which has been converted into a high end food court. Fantastic food at reasonable prices. Not fast food, think sit down restaurant quality dining but in a casual, self-serve atmosphere. The Hlemmur Food Hall is a must try, we ate there several times during our stay. The apartment itself was clean and comfortable. Nothing special, bare bones, but very adequate. We appreciated the elevator and our private terrace. There is also a public terrace and an indoor room for groups to gather, complete with a bathroom.

No microwave in the apartment was a real problem. A relatively cheap fix that would be a big add. A few more hangers for the clothes hanging rack would be nice, 3 per bedroom was not enough. Each bed only had one bedside table though the pictures show two.

The apartments are in a great location, beautifully designed, and well-maintained. We found everything we needed for cooking, which was very convenient. I am also very grateful that we were given a better room than we had booked. Having a room with a balcony made it so much easier to enjoy the Northern Lights!

The only thing I would suggest improving is the storage space. There wasn’t really anywhere to put our belongings or hang our jackets. There was one rack, but it was occupied by extra bedding. More storage options would make the stay even more comfortable.
