I had a pleasant stay at Fosshotel Lind. The room was clean and comfortable, which made for a relaxing experience. However, what truly stood out was the food - it was absolutely sumptuous! I thoroughly enjoyed every breakfast. Thank you for the great hospitality.

I did experience a couple of issues with the bathroom. Although it was very clean, it felt quite small and a bit uncomfortable to use. Also, the drainage system needs attention - every time I turned on the tap in the washbasin, a strong and unpleasant smell came from the drain.

Front desk staff exceptional. Breakfast staff very efficient, area was kept very clean. Loved the location near end of main shopping street and very close to bus stops.

The bathroom was pathetic. Very poor lighting - they need to change lights to LED's. Shower was deplorable. The glass doors were not clean, damage from soap scum. Terrible design of shower doors - all to save space which was not effective and you couldnt get into the shower unit. They could have removed 6-8" from bedroom area by moving the wall and it would have worked by widening the bathroom. Handsink very tiny. No robe hooks behind doors. Needs immediate attention,

Great location if your travelling by car. The car park is usually full, but you can always find a spot when street parking in one of the residential areas in the neighbourhood. Shopping street towards the centre is close. WiFi worked without a problem. TV worked, beds were nice and clean, darkening curtains helped sleeping. Room service is not available every day, but can be requested, Breakfast was really good.

Shower smelled a bit too strong of sulfur, but I understand that's how it is. Regulating the water hot/cold was a bit of a problem and the water pressure was a bit low. Shower is small, not for everyone. There is no mini-fridge/mini-bar.

The hotel is clean, quiet, warm and very comfortable, ideally situated only 5 minutes walk from the famous shopping street, the harbour and restaurants. The staff are very help full and friendly both at reception and at breakfast which is substantial. A special thank you to Kristjan at reception who booked our Grand Circle Tour with pick up at bus stop 13 outside the hotel. We definitely recommend this hotel.

The shower room could be a bit updated , there are no hooks to hang up the towels and the dreaded shower curtain doesn’t keep the shower room dry. Also perhaps a coat hanger next to the wardrobe by the door as you don’t hang up wet coats in the wardrobe when it rains Otherwise all is perfect.

The hotel was in an excellent location. It was extremely close to the main shopping street, but just far enough away to be in a quiet area. I got there early and asked if there was a luggage store to keep my bags, whilst waiting for the check in time. But I was told that I could check in early. There were 3 or 4 bus stops to choose from within a 5/10 minute walk away, so tours and trips were easily accessible. I'd already booked my tours, but I saw that the staff were so helpful with assisting other guests with their questions and booking trips. The breakfast was included and there was an excellent, varied choice. There were also snacks available in the reception area. The staff were friendly and approachable. They were so welcoming. The hotel itself was kept clean, comfortable and warm.

The bathroom was on the smaller side, but I was aware of this when I booked.

The staff couldn’t be nicer or more accommodating. Especially the breakfast staff. It was exceptionally clean and beds were very comfortable. Cute little parlor to wait for taxi’s or enjoy a break. Lots of breakfast variety, even for a vegan like me which was greatly appreciated. The rooms were a good size compared to most European rooms. Loved the wardrobe, very convenient.

The hot water does smell like sulfur which is off putting & the showers are basically a wet room, so as long as you set your expectations accordingly; you’ll be fine. There could have been more mirrors and hooks in the room.

Breakfast is OK. At 6th morning maybe will see some alternatives.

As an architect I noticed, that there is no noise absorbing surface - like mineral wool plates - on the corridors roof. When the rooms door has now a narrow opening on the floor, the wisitor can hear talking, walking and the door closing in his room. In Finland we make more "dampers". After dush the floor is wet. We use a tool to push the drops to the floor outlet (spatula) The people sit on the bed side. Therefore there is softer part. If the bed turns 180 grades, is the outer side better. Now the bed will "throw" the sleeper, when change the posture.

Fosshotel Lind is located on a great location in the middle of Reykjavik. Just a few minutes walking and you are at the shopping streets. Rooms are not very big but big enough for a few nights. The beds are very comfortable. Staff was very friendly and there is a possibility to buy food, drinks to take with you to the room. Also, they sell postcards and stamps and have mailbox. Price/value is good.

The bathroom is a little small. Especially the shower is not really inviting and the shower curtain doesnt help. There is no closet for clothes. There is a place to hang your coat or clothes on. For us it was okay since we were only here for one night.

A comfortable bed with two pillows, a peaceful hotel, in a great location. Very clean rooms, TV, hairdryer towels, with tea and coffee facilities. Breakfast was excellent with a very good variety of hot and cold food, great staff, and a very clean and comfortable dining room. Bus stop 13 across the road for all pick up of tours and airport. A short walk to the centre with plenty to explore. Bars, pizza, chinese, and a 24-hour shop are local. Maps at reception. Staff were lovely and helpful at reception, and we will definitely book here again!

Perfect location-it's a 10-15 minute walk to everything but also in a quieter part of town. We also really appreciated the included parking for our rental car. The room was clean and comfortable. Great restaurants near by.

The shower, since it only had a cloth curtain, got the entire bathroom wet if you took longer than a 5 minute shower. Not a huge deal but not ideal.
