The location was great, the rooms were very pretty and seemed freshly renovated. Only about 10min walking distance to the city center, and 1min to Kjarvalsstadir Art Museum. I liked the free parking lots in front and behind the building. Also, you don't need a key, because the building and the rooms have digit keypads, which is great! Our room had a small kitchen and toilet/bathroom with everything you may need - hair dryer, toaster, electric kettle, coffee machine (capsules), dishwasher, stove, baking oven. Also a small cabinet to hang jackets.

The toilet/bathroom had a sliding door made of frosted glass, which is totally fine when you are alone, but a bit uncomfortable when travelling with another person, because it can't be shut completely ... there is always a gap between the wall and the door.

This hotel has everything you need. From booking to check-out, we had a very good experience. Communication was efficient and easy. The location is excellent and you can walk to many tourist attractions. The facilities are new, clean and compact. The kitchen has all the necessary utensils for any stay, long or short. The shower is wonderful, with hot and strong water! In short, I only have praise for this hotel and if I return to Reykjavik I will definitely stay here again.

If you are not traveling with someone close to you, such as your partner or family, you may feel a little uncomfortable because you can hear everything that is going on in the bathroom. The door does not close completely, and it is still somewhat transparent.

Compact apartment with everything you need. Very clean and tidy. Nice bathroom with a lovely shower. And a great Comfortable bed. Apartment is near pic up/drop off point for the airport Bus or excursions. Not far from supermarket or restaurants. Easy walk to city centre. Below the apartment building a small bakery with seating area to have snack and great coffee. There is even an entrance from the apartment complex to the bakery so you don’t have to go outside. There is luggage storage available in the basement in case you arrive early or leave late. Keyless access to building and apartment. Just using the (tap) code lock.

The room looked new, clean, and well-maintained. The bed was comfortable. I appreciated the well-equipped kitchen, which had everything I needed for simple meals during my stay. The location is excellent—just a short walk to the city center and a variety of eateries, making it convenient for both sightseeing and dining. The staff were responsive and helpful, quickly answering the questions I had.

One area for improvement would be the curtains. During the summer months, it gets bright early, and the current curtains don’t fully block out the light. Blackout curtains would make a big difference in comfort.

You can tell that it is a brand new renovation. The materials and furnishings are updated. The location was ideal for exploring Reykjavik on foot or by taxi. The building is small and quiet, and the neighborhood is a quiet residential area. It was 5-10 minutes walk to Laugavegur Street (with all of the "downtown" restaurants, shops, etc.). At the end of the block is a lovely public park with a small art museum and a disc golf course, playground, etc. Just 3 minutes walking to Sundhollin swimming complex. Next to the hotel, there is a coffee shop (Brikk) under construction (not yet open during my visit). Bathroom was large and had a great shower - plenty of hot water and water pressure. I appreciated the towel warmer, too. Kitchen had all the features you would need for a longer stay and to do some cooking, there is even a dishwasher! Small refrigerator, toaster, microwave, small coffee maker, and all of the dishes and equipment for cooking. Large TV with 30+ channels. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Small table and 2 wooden chairs for eating or using your laptop. Chairs not really comfortable enough for relaxing with TV or a book. Good window shades to block the "midnight sun" in the summer months. I got a great price for the location and the type of hotel!

I would have enjoyed a small comfortable chair to watch TV or to read. I sat on the bed, but the angle was not so comfortable because there was no headboard (there was a padded wall along the length of the bed). But overall a good room for me as a solo traveler.

It was a nice room, kitchen area and place looks remodeled.

The doors on the shower do not close very well. The water seeps underneath the doors into the bathroom area. My room was in front of the parking area so it got very noisy in the morning. Cars starting up leaving. There were people walking on the sidewalk talking so it was noisy. As in winter it was a distance to walk into town. Still don't understand the bus system although there was one a block away where you do a Meetup for excursions. Had to call a taxi numerous times because of distance but I did a lot of walking too.

Nice cozy room, great location. Very comfortable bed and nice to have a kitchenette in the room. Free on street parking was a huge plus.

Bathroom sliding door didn't appear to be fitted properly. Strange housekeeping. The housekeeping came on the second day but didn't seem to do anything, the only reason we knew they had been was because they removed a bath mat (and didn't replace it). I had to email to request new towels as these were also not replaced.

The property was in a great location, 5 minute walk to Reykjavík town! Great Parking facilities with a space right outside the hotel which was free. The rooms were really comfortable and the attention to detail in the kitchen was great. With cutlery, pots, pans, a dishwasher and tea/coffee making facilities all in your room was great touch. They even have their own bakery on the ground floor with a back door from the hotel and you get 10% off for being a hotel guest! The pastries were delicious 😋

There was only one down side to the hotel room which was that the bathroom wasn’t very private. There was a sliding glass door which was very see through and it had big gaps around the sides of the door making going to the toilet very visible for anyone else staying in the room with you.

Free parking. Great bakery. Very clean. Bathroom is compact and modern. The kitchenette is nice though we didn't use it. Bed was comfortable. Everything is within 15-20min walk. Staff was very friendly and helpful when we were trying to locate the hairdryer. Toiletries included.

Ventilation could have been better. Was worried about noise if windows were opened for sleep. But indeed even without opening the windows, we were all woken up by the bin or delivery truck at 5 or 6am, plus the lack of air circulation. Also, the triple room was not the same as photos. Much smaller.

This is an AMAZING choice for a longer stay in Reykjavík! It was such a great price! You even have a dishwasher, sink, mini fridge, and little oven! This is definitely helpful when storing leftovers from dinners or if you want to save some money and cook for yourself! It is so close to important and fun activities in Reykjavik but also far enough away to feel like you’re not crowded by people. I would 100000% recommend this hotel to anyone!!

The only problem I had (which was definitely my fault and not the hotel’s) was when I first typed in the hotel into google maps ODDSSON hotel came up. However that’s is not the one that I booked. I needed to make sure I typed in ODDSSON Downtown Hotel! Driving up to the correct hotel was easy as long as you look for the BLUE sign to know which building is correct! But again, take this with a grain of salt.
