Reykjavik central guesthouse at 83 snorrobraut has a great location within 12 mins of walk to BSI bus terminal, 10 mins of walk to bus stop 9 , 18 mins of walk to bus stop 12 and 10 mins of walk to hallgrimskirkja church . The room was quite big , clean and comfortable with a mini fridge, table and tv to name a few . There was no closet except the hangers . The kitchen was well equipped with all cooking utensils and apparatus . You can cook whatever you want with ingredients from bonus The bathroom always had hot water and had bathing essentials. My neighbours throughout my stay were nice and there wasn't any noise or sleep disruption and they kept the kitchen more or less today - guess I was lucky in that. The guesthouse was prompt in their response in chats . The room has a wonderful view of outside. All in all a very good stay at a reasonable price. Thankyou for the wonderful stay.

The room wasn't completely insulated . The room heater i guess needed to work a wee bit more. I was a bit cold but manageable. Would have liked something of a closet but there was a hanger though. The room cleaning facilities can be availed only by talking to the chat support of the guesthouse. There is no regular cleaning of the room.

The location of this guesthouse is great. 15-minute walk to downtown (church, shopping street, etc). I appreciated that both the front door and our room door had automatic locks and keypad entry - it made us feel safer than some guesthouses which leave the front door open at all times. The room was very small, basically just a bed, but it was all we needed.

I specifically filtered my search options to only include properties that included free parking. I did this because my husband and I both find it very stressful to not know the parking situation and potentially have to drive around looking for a spot. There is free parking in the neighbourhood around the guesthouse, however it isn't assigned - it's just street parking, and when it's busy it can be very difficult to find a spot. We had to drive around a bit searching. Thankfully our rental car was very small so we were able to squeeze in, but I wouldn't really say that this guesthouse provides parking. The only other thing was, we did not see a single staff member our entire stay. It wasn't really an issue but we did find it a bit odd, more like a hostel than guesthouse.

Location is in between BSI Bus station and the Hallgrimskirkja Church and city centre about 10 min walk each. Accessible to everything. Newly renovated. Clean room and bathroom. We stayed in second floor. One big common bath and toilet room. Common small dining room. Common kitchen in 1st floor shared by 1st and 2nd floor guests. Complete kitchen facilities, microwave, stove, cooktop, utensils, kettle and coffe maker. Free towels and extras inside the bathroom. TV with Netflix in the bedroom, size is good. Free fast wifi.

No in person reception, you need to message them online, quick response though. They will message your house and room pin upon check in. All doors has pin pad. You can access the building at 12nn and room at 3pm, no baggage lockers, you can rent one at BSI terminal. No TV in common area nor any entertainment facilities, so you cant stay there even you have access at 12nn, just protection from cold outside.

This guest house provided a pleasant stay - clean, comfortable, and a good location (close to bus station & an easy walk into town). Also, given the bathroom was a shared space it was surprisingly clean & exceeded expectations.

Although our room was very clean, there was an overlooked corner of the ceiling above my bed with a patch of black mold that looked like it had been there awhile. Also, since the kitchen is a shared space, it would be helpful if house rules were posted to let guests know what is expected of them to avoid “the tragedy of the commons”. (e.g., dirty dishes left in the sink or placed in a dishwasher with clean items that had yet to be put away -both situations were encountered during our stay.)

For me, it's important to sleep well in silence. We had a very good bed and it was perfectly safe and sound, no noise or loud people in other rooms. The kitchen was excellent equipped for what we need for our stay. They have a laundry room as well, You can use it. The bathroom was clean, and everything was functional. Clean white towels are always for use. The building looks old from the outside, i don't know why, but it's pretty new everything. Very good area to go everywhere, even walking. In all, for us, this was very worthy.

Wifi went down very often, but the guy there helped to fix it.

Nice location, comfortable amenities. They kept the window open in the shower which made it very cold. Probably to avoid mold though. Only complaint is when I entered my room I had a surprise roommate. A cat! It was no biggie in leading the stray back outside though. Parking is semi reliable at this location, at least it's free.

Didn't like having to open so many doors to navigate between different rooms

Information from the accommodation about checkin was easy to follow. Rooms were nice and access to kitchen facilities were great. Was able to walk very easily to city center and around downtown area without the need for public transportation after arriving. Great for a short stay or a starting point for day trips as access to bus pick up points is very accessible.

No onsite staff or front desk. Arrived very early in the morning and unfortunately did not have a place to or know where to store bags in the city center.

Location was good and its right in the center of both downtown and Reykjavik terminal from where all thr tour starts. Room was new , clean and good enough for 2 people. Bathroom was clean and tidy and was cleaned every 1-2 days kitchen was equipped with enough dishes, microwave, kettle, coffee machine which is good

1) no wardrobe in twin bed room so quite difficult to manage for 6 nights stay 2) dim lights in room 3) no mirrors inside room so had to go to common area to get ready 4) no sugar and tea sachets available. there were only coffee sachets 5) room was not cleaned up even once in my 6 nights stay

The kitchen and bathroom kept clean, the kitchen was well equipped so we could cook our own meals and the mini-fridge in our rooms came in handy. It was handy to get to the bus station as well as the city centre. Felt a bit like a student halls of residence.

It was very hot inside during the first part of the week as the heating was on when it wasn't really needed.

It is a very good place to stay, just in the center of everything. The room was very cozy and it had a TV with Netflix and the bed was very comfy. Also it had a fridge inside the room.

Toilet shared between 5 rooms. Sometimes it was a long wait to be able to go in, because is just one for all the rooms.
